    Didn't know they made it that way...but my husband can have the fat in his diet. I thought perhaps that defatted was better for receipes or something like that.

It's time that your 16 year old speak for himself by telling uncle, in a nice way, that while he'd like to order any old thing from the menu, he knows not to take that risk and to stick to the gluten free diet as he doesn't want to feel sick later.     My husband big Nittany fan (by the way, what is a "Nittany" -- couldn't find it in dictionary. Loves his Nittany Lion T-shirts too. Had to find Penn State's gift shop on line to buy them for him! Last one I got him after I went to PA on trip wore out.

    We've tried Bob's corn flour and that too was problemic...Bob's corn flour must not be processed in gluten-free facility or it'd say "gluten-free" on the label.

    P.S. I've tried the Shiloh brand and think we had some cross contamination issues and will not use that brand again unless Shiloh can assure that they have gluten-free facilities, etc., etc.,

    My husband had York testing and they say that he has corn allergy/intolerance but he eats it anyway because he can't have soy, sorghum and of course WOBR. He feels deprived enough so he eats it as corn flakes and cream style corn (not everyday) and gluten-free cornbread. I am not fully certain that the York testing is legit anyway.....

    For the 10 years prior to the correct celiac disease Diagnosis my husband's depression was deep enough to need medications but he could not tolerate the side effects.     Two years ago when my husband was diagnosed with celiac disease we purchased a Breadman bread machine. We use the Gluten Free pantry bread mixes (purchased from Whole Foods, or mail order Gluten Free Pantry or believe it or not "Pathmark Supermarket.") You can make your dough one night and immediately put it in the refrigerator and bake it the next night...

    Hi There are other foods that my husband who has celiac cannot tolerate. So it might not all be gluten but other sources (like milk, corn, soy, etc.) that are bothering you. D.

    Karen With all honesty I don't think this is a good test. They could be using oats that were cross contaminated with wheat. After all, they are the grade of oats that people do not eat (I would assume they are not a fine grade of oat). If you do use it, then let us know the outcome. Debbie
