  1. Lol, Richard, I was going to say the same thing after reaching the end of pg. 1.
  2. I saw that. It's nasty, but doesn't completely put me off of fast food. Esp. since I can take the extra calories.
  3. I use Firefox, too--the browser (and the OS) won't change the occurence of the message.
  4. I agree--the law suits are frivilous, stupid, and ENTIRELY counter-intuitive to the goals of celiacs. Law suits of this nature are going to scare away McD's and other chains... <<Below article deleted by user>>

  6. Deleted article (potential copyright issues)
  7. In addition to combating spammers by slowing them down.
  8. I've read both, so I can tell you that there's a HUGE difference--mostly in content. - Danna Korn (Wheat-Free, Worry-Free) writes in a lively, funny way--a lot about lifestyle, eating out, reading labels. She does a little bit of explaining with regards to tests, but it's not too technical - Dr. Green writes in a less humorous way, more... to-the-point...
  9. You can get home testing kits, but they're unreliable and expensive (for just testing food). BTW, Susan, my 10-year-old brother says your dog is cute
  10. I got mine three days ago.
  11. That's your signature (at the bottom of posts): Click my controls Click "edit signature" (on the long list of links on the left) Type in info and update!
  12. Cool! I like Danna Korn's books a lot.
  13. Scott should make a "McDonald's" section of the board--I bet it would have more posts than the current "Sports and Fitness" or "Gluten-Free in..." sections (except for Canada). Oh, that's a joke... whoops
  14. No -- US
  15. We don't typically attack people here, particularly newbies who are just learning about the diet--the last thing we want to do is seem unwelcoming. And if you feel anyone's being nasty to you, use the handy "report" button. Feel free to ask away, because chances are it's been asked before (I'm sure I've seen the yeast question at least 4-5 times) and...
  16. Yes--it's actually really simple even when you get it in the unprepeared (dry mix) form. The first two times it takes awhile, but it gets really easy to make after you get the hang of it (I'm 15 and I can make it, so I'm sure college kids could, too )
  17. To my knowledge: The video capsule endoscopy takes images, but the main problem is that it can't take intestinal samples, which are the CRITICAL part of an endoscopy, moreso than the images. So it is an inferior means.
  18. Quote from website: Scam? Who knows? There are basically two possibilities: 1) There's the possibility that it is a scam: some person who wants you to sign up and will put you on some spam list or send you virus-containing e-mails with these so-called secrets. 2) There's the possibility that this person is being truthful in intention...
  19. All Pepsi softdrinks are gluten-free--not necessarily all products. But yes, that encompasses diet caffeine free pepsi.
  20. Not the pizza crust-- I've never seen the pizza crust and I'm happy with Chebe. They have a pre-made pizza, which is really convenient and REALLY good--just out a few months ago.
  21. Congratulations! That's a huge mental step to know that you've successfully completed your first (and hardest) year.
  22. I know, I LOVE GLUTINO bagels! My favorite "George" product is the pizza, I think. The muffins are very realistic, though--I'm just generally not a big fan of muffins. Eng. muffins are pretty good, too.
  23. In medication, you need to check maltodextrin. In food, in the U.S., maltodextrin is made from corn unless it specifically states "wheat maltodextrin."
  24. Absolutely--in light of my other question, I forgot to thank you for writing articles on celiac and helping us get out the word.
