  1. Hops alone would not make a product unsafe. Licorice candy almost always has wheat, although there are a couple that don't. If you mean licorice as an ingredient, I can't say. richard
  2. Wallace would love that cheese cigarette. richard
  3. L&P in Canada DOES have gluten. I have no idea why Canadian sauce has gluten and U.S. doesn't, but that is indeed how it is. I know Canadians who take worchestershire sauce back with them after they visit the U.S. richard
  4. Plain pumice should always be all right but you always need to check flavored stuff ahead. richard
  5. I'd never heard of a cigarette having wheat. richard

    ARCHIVED Dominos

Here are the wing ingredients. No obvious wheat, although natural flavors and MFS. They do list the top 8 allergens and wheat is not listed here. Same with the blue cheese dressing. You'd still have to make sure they have a dedicated fryer. BARBEQUE BUFFAlo WINGS: ChiCken WingS: ChiCken Wing SeCtion, Water, Salt, SeaSoning blend (Maltodextrin, SPiCe extraCtiveS...
  7. At least in the U.S. the Caesar dressing is gluten-free. richard
  8. It's pure CYA. They just won't "guarantee" the ones that have ingredients they don't manufacture. richard
  9. My wife doesn't even have celiac and red wine started doing weird things. Sometimes she'd be fine and other times one or two glasses would make her sick as a dog. richard
  10. I put my wings in at around 400 for 40-45 minutes, but I also keep an eye on them. richard
  11. You definitely do not want to use a charcoal or gas grill inside. Carbon monoxide and you might burn the place down. You can grill them inside the over, which is what I often do. It takes longer but it's healthier. richard "If its at a restaraunt, I'd skip it altogether. Other, than of course a completely gluten free restarunt." For me it depends...
  12. Frank's seems to be perfectly safe. Great for buffalo wings. I'm not telling you to pick up a hot sauce and use it without checking, but most hot sauces are safe. richard
  13. It is actually sugar and it's gluten-free. richard
  14. It certainly sounds like it's possible but everything I've ever read says celiac testing at his age simply isn't accurate. It could come back negative even if that's his problem. Do some research and ask questions. richard
  15. For reasons already given, you MUST at least talk to the waiter. richard
  16. I'd say most people never have "withdrawal." I certainly didn't. richard
  17. Many bleu cheeses do not use culture started on bread any more, and even those that do are probably safe. Bleu cheese simply in not the threat it's been made out to be. richard
  18. Olive oil is definitely gluten-free. So are other cooking oils. richard
  19. It's difficult to ever be 100 percent certain, but I think you can assume they HAVE thought about malt etc. Your best indication is that lots of people with celiac drink their stuff. richard
  20. There's a gluten-free group there. Do a search. richard
  21. The Gluten Free Kicthen by Roben Ryberg is simple and the results are tasty. The 125 Best Gluten-Free Recipes has a ciabatta recipe that is my favorite gluten-free bread. Actually smells like bread when cooking. Also doesn't fall apart as readily as most gluten-free breads. richard
  22. Check vitamin levels if you can, or start taking a B complex at least. Try taking probiotics. You could also have bacterial overgrowth. Seriously consider at least some meat for the protein and to add weight. When I was diagnosed, I was so weak and was losing weight so fast that my doctor ORDERED me to eat meat at every meal (I wasn't vegetarian). I...
  23. This is as good a reply as you possibly hope for. Just read the ingredients. richard
  24. Sorry it went so badly. You do have to be very firm and very clear. I ALWAYS make a huge deal about the croutons with the waiter. Not only can I not have them but picking them out of the salad doesn't work. Bread and flour can't touch my food. My stuff can't be fried in oil used for products with gluten. Any sauce or seasoning has to be checked thoroughly...
  25. Sounds like Tylenol is on a CYA kick. If they say the product is formulated without gluten, I'd take it and ignore the warning about suppliers. richard
