Is organic meat gluten-free?

Hi all! I bought some organic pork chops at the supermarket and am hesitant to eat them as I've never tried eating them since I went gluten-free. No gluten in meat seems like an obvious point, but I'm maybe a little too careful, lol. I buy organic chicken and the label says gluten-free on it. The label for the pork chops does not. The butcher at the store told me they're gluten-free but I don't know how much he knows about celiac so I never fully trust an answer from someone who doesn't have it. Any info would be helpful! Thanks!

I eat plain meat.  As long as it isn't marinated or coated in some way, it should be fine

Thanks!

Should be gluten-free my only concern is if he handles non gluten-free products like marinaded meats also. If this is cut at a butchers he might use the same knife and cutting board for the marinaded meats as he does the non. -_- I rarely get meats aside from when I am cooking for someone else or using them to make a stock. And personally only trust certain brands and never local cuts. Do a bit of research and always ask question if unsure, if they can not give clear answers or seem iffy then try it at your own risk.

Thanks. I looked at the company website where I bought them. The site says all packaged meat, poultry, and fish is gluten-free and it's from a store that's pretty conscientious about it. They even have large labels on every gluten-free product in the entire store. When I asked the butcher he said they were gluten free as well so I'd be surprised if they weren't safe at this point.

I noticed eating gluten-free or CGF foods have higher sugar and sodium some. No added sugar protein bars I found better with plant fiber. I wanted to know what are you go to besides whole fruits/veggies that you find are healthy for you where you can feel eating normal without hurting yourself or health. I was looking into subscription based like Thrift to see if there is something that is healthier CGF that can make me feel normal. Thanks

Thankyou because I met up with K B with well known bay area hospital once and she said she knows I don't like to take meds, I said thats incorrect, I have issues.Thats the one that said I was deemed " unruly " when she admitted I was celiac when I asked why am I going through this.

Cristiana, that sounds like a great approach and I will be looking forward to the results. I am in the same boat as you. I don't experience overt symptoms with minor, cross contamination level exposures so I sometimes will indulge in those "processed on equipment that also processes wheat . . ." or items that don't specifically claim to be gluten free but do not list gluten containing grains in their ingredient list. But I always wonder if I am still experiencing sub acute inflammatory reactions. I haven't had any celiac antibody blood work done since my diagnosis almost 25 years ago so I don't really have any data to go by.
