This is a recipe for Pakora's which is an East Indian snack. They are a little like Samosa's. These are so good, I have become a Pakora Junkie.

Pakora

Ingredients:

1 cup Chickpea Flour (Besan)

2 tbsp Oil

1 teaspoon Ground Cumin

1 1/2 teaspoon Salt

1-2 each Chopped Green Chillies (Jalapeno)

1/2 cupWater

1 Potato

1 small Cauliflower

2 Cabbage

5 sliced Spinach

1 1/2 cup Sliced Onion

Method:

Boil the potato until just tender, peel and chop finely.

Finely chop cauliflower and onion. Shred the cabbage and spinach.

Mix first set of ingredients well. Beat in a blender for 4-5 minutes to incorporate air (this will make the batter fluffier).

Let batter rest 1/2 hour in a warm place.

Add the vegetables and mix in evenly.

Deep fry in oil that is heated to 375°.

Drain on paper towels and serve immediately.

Serve with cilantro or mint chutney or tomato ketchup

I'm tempted to buy a deep fryer just to make those. Those sound great.

They are very addicting. I first had them at a store down the street, she makes them fresh and uses a separate fryer for them. She does all the stuff with flour in a different fryer. She gave me her recipe. If you don't eat them right away, they can be reheated in the microwave for a few seconds and taste just as good as fresh out of the fryer.

Your response on this matter is what I expect. You’ve had a similar episode years ago, but this one is lasting longer!

I'd like to clarify: Is the pain you describe in the area just below your chest constant, or does it only appear when you start moving?
