In the past 2 years we have also not done anything to prevent pregnancy. Then a month and a half on this protocol and I'm pregnant?? I thought this was pretty wild.

Wow...I agree that its pretty wild. :o

I had mentioned your situation to my friend...and actually the first thing she said was "She got pregnant because she removed her fillings and mercury was getting shifted".

She said it just like that...very "matter of factly".

She made some other comments about that but I couldnt retain everything....stuff about mercury and the reproductive organs.

I had no idea that you had been trying and were not successful. Of course it could easily be explained by your supplements too. I just kind of got blown away by what she said and then now reading your post.

Anyways, her advice was to "follow the advice of a medical Dr."

She did mention chlorella as being safe. I think she was saying that so much mercury is excreted through breast milk (very toxic) but when enough chlorella is taken the milk can actually turn green....and when its tested it is CLEAN.

I'm pretty sure thats what she said but I was trying to retain alot of info. at once. Luckily, I'm not too brainfogged these days. :)

Well...I got kind of lost in the thread....jumping around and not necessarily in any particular order. :P

I just wanted to say CONGRATULATIONS to Rinne for her HUGE accomplishment (which I know from personal experience is NOT an easy thing to do)!!

Rinne.....I'm super excited for you and I know you will continue to feel better after having made this big step. :D

OK...I'm sure I missed other important stuff but I'm too tired now.

Patti....me thinks the caffeine is wearing me out.

Oh....if anyone wants to be truelly amazed by recent events that have occured....check out my last post in the oxalate thread. :D

I am taking up golf and reclaiming my body.

Whoaaaa that's great!

And a yippee for the holiday world too. :)

. . . . . the monsters I have. :P

 I bet they're lil darlin's.

And I've been meaning to see my sister in Portland . . . . ..

Of course, had to take care o' bidness in SJ 1st. But any day now I'll have a ticket to PDX. How far are ya? 2.5hrs maybe? Heehee

I can actually study and REMEMBER the info I studied! That's HUGE for me!

Love the sound of THIS!

. . . I need something to help me wake up as I almost fall asleep while on the freeway to school! Any ideas?

I've seen a report that claimed the heat of a drink is part of the wake-up call. Maybe hot thin soup or just broth?

. . . I'm really excited . . . .

:) :) yay! :):)

So I had an appt tonight with the Body Scan (similar to ASYRA, different software) and I am a little discouraged :(

My toxic burden is big time viris, fungis, parasites and 8 out of the 10 lymphs are blocked.

I had been on protocols for all of this stuff for several years, but took a break for the past 5 years, it looks like I pretty much have to start all over and from square one :( .

An interesting factoid is the last 3 scans I have done lyme comes up at the top

Is this laser thing anything like a cold laser?

Rachel, I like the sound of your plans, and you post them with such enthusiasm too- that's a good sign!

I saw what you did today in the oxalate thread  You've come such a long way, you must post the picture capturing this momentous occasion! Who would have thought last year at this time that you would be able to eat chips and salsa normally, very exciting :D

Ami, congratulations (officially) :)

Kassandra- blueberries?:lol: Well that might explain it.

I know I missed a lot of other posts, must go back and get caught up.

Julie-

I really feel for you, when i had the muscle testing done my toxic burden was so high, parasites, yeast etc where stilll such big issues I felt like these are things i have been battling for so long. So what is your plan now that you have had the scan done?

I had another ionic foot bath done and there was alot of oil that was released which usually means the lymphs are under alot of stress so looks like we have this in common as well. I am going to look into lymphatic drainage massage. HAve you ever done or thought of doing this?

Keep me posted

Ami, didn't you say you started thyroid? After my experience teaching NFP, which was often helping people interpret charts to get pregnant, I'd say it was getting your thyroid up that pushed you over the edge. Taking the other stressors off your body, including getting the amalgams out, but equally important any change in diet, would have also helped. The people I worked with who were able to get pregnant with our low-tech methods, it usually was that simple -- diet, supplements, thyroid. It raises your temps and increases your luteal phase. :) But, yeah, no surprise here. :)

Rachel, I did understand it was different than LED ... but I'm thinking it would be a start for me. :) It's pretty cheap, and it's got to be a help, especially if G. likes it so well. If it does nothing, well, I'm *only* out 200 bucks. I've spent more than that on nothing before! :P

Chocolate!? :o:blink: (dang! blinked already!) Even if we're just talking WhF, there are too many parts of the store w/ chocolate!! And it might be 1 out 3 stores overall have chocolate!

Hardware stores have candy bars! I bet that "Nothing but Toe-Socks" store @Pier39 has toe-shaped chocolate!

I WAS pretty big on chocolate (very regularly buying multiple bags when on sale and often getting the huge 8oz bars & finishing them the day they're bought), but is it really better than a clearer brain?

Hey!! 17 days? 16? The cruisin' countdown is on! (Uhhhh is it mexico or carribbean? I should remember this.)

Mia, you are such a sweatheart . Looks like we are in the same boat.

I am going to go to someone new, have a bunch of tests run, she does ART and the body scan as well, and then she'll put me on a protocol to address what all comes up. I am hoping I can get in next week.

I have not had lymphatic massage, although it comes highly recommended. If you go get one, let me know how it goes.

The ionic foot bath sounds interesting, do you think it makes a difference?

Hi Judy, I've been trying to keep up with what's going on with you in the oxalate thread, I hope all is well.

I think the lymphatic massage is a great idea. It is something that I thought of doing, apparently in my city of over a half million people there is one person who does it but I just never got it together to do that. I did spend time bouncing on the exercise ball which is helpful with the lymphatic system.

Actually, I would say step away from bad chocolate and find some great organic semi or bitter sweet chocolate and eat only a little. :o

Ami, congratulations on your pregnancy  Since my miscarriages, I've been in touch with a charity here in the Uk called Foresight that promotes healthy eating, nutritional advice, and detoxing from heavy metals, and their research shows that all these things have a huge impact of fertility and miscarriage rates. I hope it's OK to post a link to their site here, seeing as it's a not-for-profit charity. There's loads of really good research papers there. And the interesting thing is that it's all a collection of info from mainstream research. When will mainstream drs sit up and take notice??

PS everyone should take a look at their papers on metals, vitamins etc, not just those of us wanting babies. The info is very helpful.

Andrea, I was thinking it might be a good alternative for you since it's only $200 and you use it whenever you want. Since you already know what needs to be done, you could work on it with this with your whole family. I was also thinking it might be good for me and my family since we don't have this available and are already spending a fortune on medical treatment (and college). It's better than the alternative of doing nothing. :)

Actually Dr E had considered me buying a laser and doing the LED's myself to save money but she would have had to run it by Dr. Cowden and I wasn't comfortable doing that. She worked with us though. Now we won't have the money to continue with the whole supplement regime so she wants me to email her before we need to order anything again so she can figure out what we can cut back on. Most of the stuff we have will last another 2 months.

So, I think I want to call IGeneX and get the kit mailed to me so we can just take it with us to the Dr. so he has no excuse to not order it.

I am actually starting to feel better, more energy, etc. except today! lol! I have been taking Salmon Oil and it makes SUCH a difference. I can actually study and REMEMBER the info I studied! That's HUGE for me! Last year I couldn't ever remember anything.

Good idea about IgeneX. Like Carla (or was it Rachel) said post again on LN with looking for a doctor who does a natural protocol.

Yay on the fish oil helping!

They did another test to confirm that I'm indeed pregnant. He said that at this stage of pregnancy it is so protected and there was only a short amount of time that metals would have been mobilized that he's confident no harm has been done.

That's great news!

Either way I'd want to go up to WA and get seen about once a month. I just have to figure out cost....whos easier to schedule with and things like that. I still dont know how many more weeks until I see Amy again.

Amy can be booked up but once you get in and schedule stuff it would be easier......depends on whether she has conferences/training things she's going to as well.

I think either one would be good to see. I'd just have to get the address of Andreanna's business so I could meet you up there.

And I've been meaning to see my sister in Portland . . . . ..

Of course, had to take care o' bidness in SJ 1st. But any day now I'll have a ticket to PDX. How far are ya? 2.5hrs maybe? Heehee

We are 1/2 hour from the border so it depends on where she is in Portland.

So I had an appt tonight with the Body Scan (similar to ASYRA, different software) and I am a little discouraged :(

My toxic burden is big time viris, fungis, parasites and 8 out of the 10 lymphs are blocked.

I'm sorry you have to start over again. :(

I think ART/ASYRA would be beneficial as well. Didn't you say you were going to check that out. Cold Laser and LED are different. Someone who knows cold laser can pick up the LED quickly though.

LED would probably help with some of what you're dealing with.

Amy can be booked up but once you get in and schedule stuff it would be easier......depends on whether she has conferences/training things she's going to as well.

I think Andreanna probably travels a bit more than Amy...I still gotta figure that stuff out. If I continue with Amy I would just try to schedule everything in advance....I dont think it would be too difficult. I wouldnt want to wait until I'm there to schedule...I would probably wanna work it out in advance to see if its doable. I'm already a patient so she doesnt have to start fresh with me....which is good.

I'm gonna call her and she what she thinks about it. :)

Good point Julie. I dont want the thread to be moved again either...I dont think it would serve the same purpose in gab/chat. I dont wanna be a task master either but at the same time I'm also not feeling like fighting the same fight over again.

If others here feel the same way about keeping the thread where it can be of most benefit....please try to keep in mind that we are monitored and try to stay on topic as much as possible. :)

Andrea, Andreanna emailed me back and said it is essential to have someone trained to do the detox part, but that the laser she sells is good for balancing, scars, etc.

Rinne, okay, a lot vain ... I mean, fair skin, tan legs? Am I ready to get these brown spots cleared? YES! And as G. said on LN, it's from the skin not detoxing ... and they have gotten worse with abx treatment ... or is it just age? I've already written up the order and have giving it to Adam to fax ... but he's not going into the office today ... stayed home because of my herx. :)

I'm one who is still hoping to have babies. I'm extra motivated to clean up my body and I think in the end....if I'm blessed with kids I will be VERY glad I had to go through all this to get there.

I think of this illness as a huge blessing....with regards to having children in the future. :)

Yeah...thats my understanding as well. The major stuff gets done in the office by a trained practitioner...the "at home" laser is good for all sorts of other things. :)

Thanks Donna, right back at ya

I think that with my diet changes in place and the fact that my bowels are moving (which they weren't for years) things might fall into place as I start back up with the protocol.

Are you ok with nuts at all? Lara Bars have a chocolate line, with cocoa mass. Tastes just like chocolate candy and might satisfy your chocolate craving, but there are nuts and dried fruit mixed in.

A Native American healer I saw suggested I take bitter chocolate (no sugar, no dairy) and grate it, add to boiling water to make kind of like a "hot chocolate", maybe add in some honey or agave syrup if you are ok with that to sweeten it up a little.

It was to treat constipation (chocolate makes the bowels move, cinnamon is binding), but it also might fill the chocolate void.

Susie- I'll take a look at the link, thanks for posting :)

Hi @cristiana   Thank you so much for your reply. This is so helpful. I definitely suffer from anxiety mostly related to health. Brain fog definelty doesn’t help this when it comes. I find my 4 am wake ups are potentially more food related if that’s a possibility (eating enough carbs with protein and fats) and if I eat a small snack before bed to hold throughout the night. I just haven’t been able to help the sudden increase in more days where I can’t fall asleep for hours - it’s those racing thoughts like you describe. I feel like a machine that’s running and can’t shut down.    I will try the epsom salt bath that’s a great suggestion. I think I’m probably working through some other food triggers that may be contributing as well with brain fog.    Anyways sorry to go off. It feels so reassuring finding this community and being able to chat with others. I was definitely feeling a bit crazy until I realized there are many others going through the same thing.

Hi Jayne Great choice for a gluten-free cycling holiday, I know the island well. The words you need to look for are 'sin gluten' when you are out and about.   I think you will be amazed at how many packets and canned goods are clearly labelled 'sin gluten' in the supermarkets - many more than one sees here - often in quite large type.  There seems to be a thought in the UK that if you label something gluten free it will affect flavour etc and will put people off buying it!  However, in the case of Spain, it is almost as if the the Spanish see it as an endorsement of quality and flavour!  There is a supermarket called Mercadona and they label their produce very clearly. Paella should be gluten free so long as the chef use the right stock such as Knorr or a gluten-free homemade stock - you can check.  Most Mallorquins in catering speak English but if not, ask, "Contiene gluten?"  Tumbet is a wonderful dish if you like peppers, tomato, aubergines, garlic and olive oil!  A sort of variation on ratatouille.   Slow roast lamb shank should be safe, and there are endless fish dishes to choose from and salads.  Flan is made with eggs, sugar and caramel, and should be gluten-free.  Lots of gluten-free ice cream and sorbets, they should be clearly labelled. If you want specific restaurant recommendations, feel free to PM me. Cristiana

One thing to keep in mind is that it's pretty safe to take a B-complex since B vitamins are water soluble. You just pee out any excess.

Hi @hjayne19 It sounds as if your insomnia is closely linked to your anxiety.  I had awful anxiety at diagnosis, and that feeling of doom that you describe.   My other symptoms were racing thoughts, and a tangible sensation of a weight bearing down on my shoulders, even if I was feeling perfectly well and happy - it would just hit me.  I then got a phobia to make things worse, linked to the fact that I had was suffering hypnopompic hallucinations (brief hallucinations on waking).  That was weird but I later learned they aren't all that uncommon, especially with people who suffer from aura migraines.   In fact I felt so unwell that I didn't even recognise it as 'anxiety'.  I remember googling my various symptoms and it was only that that  made me realise I was suffering from anxiety, which was nothing like 'feeling a bit nervous before taking an exam' or , say, making a speech.  This was a whole new ball game. As I came off gluten and healed, the anxiety started to get less and less.  It is not uncommon for coeliacs to have anxiety on diagnosis, so I hope that is reassuring to you.   And deficiencies can make it worse, or cause it, so are definitely worth investigating in further depth if you can.   There is certainly a big difference between 'normal' levels and 'optimum', as @trents says, and this excerpt from a British website and explains how with B12,, for example,  a normal level in one person can represent a deficiency in another: In the UK, normal B12 levels vary slightly by lab but generally, above 200 ng/L is considered sufficient, 100-145 ng/L indicates possible deficiency, and below 100 ng/L suggests likely deficiency, though levels between 146-200 ng/L may still warrant treatment if symptoms are present, as per North Bristol NHS Trust and NICE guidelines In fact, I understand levels are set much higher in other countries, such as Japan.  When I started to supplement B12 with high dose sublinguals I began to feel better, even though at diagnosis my levels were considered 'low normal'.    I too had a lot of muscle twitching which was likely due to deficiencies, but of course if someone has a lot of adrenaline in their system it will only make twitching worse.  I remember reading on this forum one should take magnesium tablets, and it did really help.  As a sportsperson you might like to try throwing a good handful of Epsom salts into a lukewarm bath, and have a soak for 20 mins, as it can be absorbed through the skin.  But be careful as you leave the bath, it can make you woozy! Lastly, to address the anxiety,  I found Dr Steve Llardi's book, albeit on Depression, incredibly helpful.  The Depression Cure: The Six Step Programme to Beat Depression Without Drugs.    Dr Llardi outlines a step-by-step plan for recovery from depression, which focuses on six key lifestyle elements that have largely disappeared in healthy doses from modern life:  physical exercise,  omega-3 fatty acids,  natural sunlight exposure,  restorative sleep,  social connectedness, and meaningful, engaging activity.    The other book (and there is a website) which helped me understand anxiety and recover is Paul David's, At Last a Life, written by a one-time sufferer.  I live in the UK and if I could award a knighthood to anyone in this country, it would be to Paul.  I am so grateful that these books crossed my path.   Anyway, sorry for the length of this post.  I hope something might be of help. Hi @trents thanks so much for the insights this helps alot.    These were my metrics at celiac diagnosis. In which my diet has since changed over the past 3 months Magnesium: 0.80 mmol/L Vitamin B12: 1021 Vitamin D (25-OH): 102.8 I would say I do get tired after eating more carbs and the only thing that really helps me fall asleep with insomnia is if I eat a banana or a snack. I have a follow up appointment soon so will look into those other B vitamin levels.
