Sometime last year I listened to Dr. K's interview in which he talked alot about the emotional traumas which hold us back from recovery. Some people cannot heal without addressing this. This is also a reason why some people become so toxic in the first place.

I posted alot of info from the interview as well as Dr. K.'s Axiom Theory and The Triad of Detoxification. We had some good discussions about all of this but of course its all buried in this thread now. If anyones interested in all of that I'm sure you can find it with a search.

Otherwise for anyone wanting to leran more about it here's the link to Dr. K.'s interview. He discusses the physchological issues, yeast, heavy metals, Lyme, heavy metal detox treatments and a bit about Lyme treatments. Its a long interview but VERY informative. He also talks about ART (which he developed) and about when and how he made the conncetion between emotional traumas/unresolved conflict and toxins stored in the body.

I'm also having a terrible time finding fish that isn't farm raised, a few fishes, chicken, eggs, and whey are my only safe protein sources. What's up with all the farm raised fish?!!

I have ordered from www.vitalchoice.com. Mercola recommends this company for fresh metal free fish. In fact I plan to make an order soon!

Yeah, she said to get the video and learn it with a friend so we can test each other.

So, would I have to have this computer thing?

Is she referring to Keniesiology?

Rachel--24 Collaborator

Heres some of that info. that was discussed awhile back. (from Dr. K.)

Psychological issues:

There is a strange but largely overlooked association of metal toxicity and psychological issues.

I found that often when the client has a breakthrough in psychotherapy her/his symptoms become temporarily worse. This is often falsely believed to be a healing crisis (immune system acivation). In this situation the client

Here is a short list of independent risk factors which can either cause accumulation of metals in an otherwise healthy body - or slow down, or inhibit the bodys own elimination processes.

Is she referring to Keniesiology?

It's similar.

Yeah, Sherry, it's expensive .... but with 6 kids, 10k isn't that much if it saves them from ever needing treatment.

He started muscle testing me for things that supplement my body, and for alternative lyme treatments, and he said my body couldn't handle ANYTHING. NOTHING. It won't accept anything.

And of course I started freaking out inside, but stayed emotionless on the outside, like usual.

Then he brought up emotions. He said "you know...I think you are emotionally preventing me from treating you. Right now, no one can heal you. Can you tell me why you think this is, or what you think is underlying here? If you can't then I can suggest some tools to help you look inside and find the answer. But until you do, you are just going to be very, very sick."

Its very true that emotional issues can prevent detoxification and in that case no healing can take place.

Its not just emotional issues which can cause the body to not tolerate anything. Regardless of the cause, if detoxification is impaired and the toxicity is high we may not respond very well to any type of treatment. From the way you described your "herx" I do feel like you would need to work on some things before you can get aggressive with any kind of treatment for Lyme. Otherwise, you would be doing more harm than good.

It might be emotional issues for you...it sounds like thats a strong possibility. It might be a combination of things but I agree that you should address these things that are getting in the way before you try to kill off the bugs.

One of my Dr.'s evaluated me for emotional issues by asking me some questions while at the same time muscle testing me. I had alot of things come up that day but the emotional issues was not something that appeared to be a problem for me. I also dont feel like there would be any reason that it would be an issue.

I've had this discussion with G. (from LymeNet) and she brought up various things that could potentially be factors for me...things such as my parents divorcing, not being breastfed (not forming a close bond), etc. All of those things can be factors but as far as I know I was not traumatized by my parents divorce (I was only 2) or anything else that I can remember from my childhood.

Anyways, at the beginning of treatment I wasnt able to tolerate anything either. I wasnt considered to be one of the "sickest" patients my Dr.'s were treating....but I was one of the most complicated because I reacted to everything. Basically, I was one of the most "messed up" patients.

All of this has improved...if that makes you feel any better. I'm not one of the most challenging patients anymore. :)

One of my doctors used to always sigh and tell me that I was "special" (and not in a good way)....and yes...sometimes I would be scared that nothing could be done to help me.

Hang in there...it WILL get better. ;)

It does seem like alot of money....but yeah....in the grand scheme of things it really isnt if it really is the "magic bullet". I would not hesitate to invest that much money into my health.....heck...I'm pretty sure I exceeded that amount a LONG time ago!

Birdy,

I posted on EFT last fall maybe, and Carla more recently. Have you discussed your wishes with your counselor?

S

No I haven't yet. I'm seeing him Thursday, maybe after I see how that session goes. I really don't want to discuss this with him. I think I will be talking to him about EFT, though. He does something similar (NET).

Yea, I'm going through stuff with my counselor too! It's no fun at all! If you ever want to talk, you know where to find me. :)

I'll be in touch. :P Yeah, it really is no fun. <_<:(

The percentage was just in a one sentence paragraph kind of at the beginning...the graphs were farther down. My right eye got 20 wrong and my left eye got 18 wrong.

Huh, I still don't see it. I got 41 wrong on the left eye and and 37 wrong with my right. My allergy doctor did a smiliar test to this in his office with me a while ago (before I got bad with Lyme) and it was negative. Although he let me put my face right to the paper and squint.

Julie,

I hope you find the fish you need!

I can express myself too, but it takes a while. The thing I'm REALLY good at, is pretending everything is okay! I'll never forget when I was in the hospital and I was in a lot of pain and the nurse asked me how I was doing, and I said "fine." So she didn't give me more pain meds. Then about 10 minutes later, I called her in and was like "ok, you gotta know...when I'm smiling and I say I'm fine...I'm lying!" She then knew, lol.

That describes me. I was in constant, awful pain from my back for years... and I never took any pain meds (turns out I'm allergic to NSAIDs, so that was a good thing in the end) and never complained to my chiropractor about it even when I could barely walk out of his office because I was nearly doubled over in pain. And then when I finally did ask him about how my back had a weird bump in it, he said it was normal and I believed him! Finally I started "polling" people's backs and found out that mine was very, very, very far from normal. And now I get to have an MRI and face the possibility of permanent damage. :( If only...

On a random side note...Ambien stopped working for me a while ago. I am not willing to keep upping the dose, so I stopped taking it. After quite a few sleepless nights, I got Dr H to call in a prescription for something else. Well, I went today to pick up the med and it was for remeron...an antidepressant. I don't know why other than it apparently helps with sleep!

I'm a little worried about taking it. It's a tryciclic (sp?) AD which I have heard yucky things about. Also, it is known to cause weight gain. I don't WANT to gain any weight! Nor do I need to gain any weight.

Does anyone have ideas? I don't know what to do.

My insomnia's come back, too. I don't think it really ever went away... the only reason I was able to sleep was because I had literally NO ENERGY. Now that I finally have some back... WHAM, I can't sleep. I was up 'til 4am last night and have been up 'til 3am every night for over 2 weeks.

I'm going to try the EFT for it. And the supplement my dr has me taking to raise my seratonin should help with it (and calm my mounting anxiety). Has your dr tested your seratonin? Apparently SSRIs won't work if your seratonin's already low, and that can bring on (or exacerbate) anxiety/insomnia/depression/etc.

I'm going to visit a Lymie tonight! She's in the hospital and her mom called me and asked if I would go visit her because she needs some cheering up. I don't have too much time since I'm supposed to leave tomorrow for Vegas, but I couldn't not go visit this girl.

That's great, Kass! :) I hope the visit goes well.

Andrea,

Thank for the link! I'm definitely looking this over as a distinct possibility. Yay for eczema in the form of cyctic acne!<_<:(

Kassandra,

I'm excited that you're excited to see this girl who is also very excited to see you! :D

Thats really cool. I'm sure you will make her day! :)

Ahhhh... :( This emotional stuff is definitely an issue for me. Just talking about it and reading about it is making me jittery, sad, angry... all things that have been gradually resurfacing. :(

mftnchn Explorer
But I'm just wondering if anyone else has experienced this...

and what you did about it.

Because this has of course, produced more fear. That no doctor can help me. I'm in a vicious cycle. And I know I put myself there.

Yes, I have wrestled with this fear of not getting better, and difficulty trusting yet another approach or another doctor. After many years it is hard to get my hopes up again sometimes, although if I am feeling better it is easier.

I think it is crucial that we have a regimen for our mental health as well as physical health. Doesn't have to, but can include counseling. Julie, I do think we have group therapy going on here! This support group online is a lifeline because there are other people who accept us and understand what we are going through. That is so important to our well-being.

I occasionally have a good cry; I did last winter when I was feeling so poorly all the time and the bills were mounting up higher and higher, along with my husband expressing questions about this. Facing the limitation of not continuing with expensive treatments and accepting the inevitable possibility of not getting any better (or getting worse) brought on a major cry, believe me!!

Once I make a decision about a next step and am actively doing that, even something as simple as the recent addition of a morning veggie smoothie, it helps. I have to recognize what is in my power to do, and do that, and let go of what is not in my power to do and save energy trying to do that.

Andrea, thanks for asking. I am not in as much pain thankfully but still not feeling well at all. I just posted on the lyme thread about it.

Awww...I'm sorry Birdy. :(

It seems like everytime this issue comes up I'm the only one who doesnt really have any significant emotional issues (that come to mind). Am I the only one?

On the list of independant risk factors the only that relates to me is the amalgams...and possibly genetics.

Reading the LN thread on the photon treatment, G talked to the doctor in Germany by phone and wrote this:

He confirmed that heavy metal toxicity and many others are cleared by the photons. Sometimes infusions need to follow the treatment to help the toxins on their final way out.

(Mag, zinc, etc.)

That sounded promising for all of us.

I think mine are resolved .... I had some issues, but they all came flooding forward, the emotional part of them, all at once several years ago. I had some good spiritual direction and support from hubby. I seemed to work through them as I can talk about it all very unemotionally now.

Very cool. :)

I'm still gonna hold out for more input from G. if and when she gets to try this out. Its exciting though. I'm thinking Scott will want to be trying it out too.....so we'll see. I trust them...if its working I'll definately be in line. :)

There are some benefits to not having a phone stuck to my ear all day. :P

I actually took a few moments to collect my urine for the porphyrin test thats been sitting in a bag for over 3 weeks now. I even dropped it off for shipment. :D

WOO-HOO....I dont know if I'll have results in time for my phone appt. with Dr. Amy...but I'm anxious to get them back.

Their fish is very good. We ordered from them too but haven't for quite awhile as the kids weren't too thrilled with fish.

Rachel,

Thanks for posting the stuff from the article. I must have had something from my childhood as I had recurring nightmares when I was 4/5. I did have a counselor put her spin on it around 18 years ago. I forget how old I was at the time.

Nothing came up on ASYRA so I'm thinking I don't have any major things. We haven't done anything with ART aside from checking for cavitations and figuring supplement dosages.

I know I'm a smidgen early, but it won't be by the time you see it. :D

HAPPY BIRTHDAY RACHEL!!!

I'm happy to call you friend  and hope you have a fantastic day. :DB) Don't be eating so much that you get yourself toxic though, ok? ;)

poor dental occlusion

Theres alot more info. here: Open Original Shared Link

Funny .... this is what I was having fixed with all the ortho work I had -- splint, braces. I still need to get veneers to fix my front teeth that I chipped when I was in college .... they are chipped straight across, so you can't really tell, except that they're too short and they do cause a little problem with occlusion.

I wear an appliance at night, so my jaw is in proper position at night. It tends to stay in position all day, but I can tell the bite is still a little off. I should get the veneers this summer.

I think I found a huge culprit for severe reactions to create worsening of my c symptoms. Do people with celiac have sensitivity and /or have opposite reaction to certain medications Where can I find a list ?  I'm new here I'm.wondering why I am getting worse when I take certain medicine...the burning feet.  Rebound muscle pain so intense  How many people get opposite effects or have a horrible attack after these meds
    • Colleen H
Does anyone know if that includes scrambled eggs and healthy smart butter (,gluten free) I add a very tiny amount of margarine less than a teaspoon.  I did no't have any bread    It just seems like no matter what I eat my stomach and nerves over fire and here comes a host of horrible symptoms. My lower abdomen feels horrible, my right leg thigh muscle.. very odd. Jaw pain. Burning feet , joint pain , you name it  The anxiety just creeps up into brain fog. I don't think I could explain this to anyone who is unfamiliar.  Also,  I most likely will not remember posting this until I check it.  This is highly unusual for me because I have an excellent memory.  One weekend before I knew anything about celiac I lost an entire weekend from severe brain fog, confusion, pain, etc.  I honestly thought I was losing my mind. When I think back I recall eating a lot of PBJ sandwiches and turkey sandwiches.  Once again did not know about gluten.  I was just too sick to cook. Do people fast during attacks ?? It seems horrible to keep going through this. I hope I'm not causing my own problems... I wonder if I should fast because I'm not eating gluten .  Chicken ,  scrambled eggs no milk , canned carrots,  gluten free low sugar low fat Greek yogurt which I already posted about 😞 Any suggestions I am open... I am bedridden when this happens to me.  Thank you Celiac community. 🙏🏻❤️

Yeah, that sounds super familiar. When inflammation levels are high — especially at the start of changing your diet — the body often develops a fructose and lactose intolerance. Unfortunately, the only thing that really helps is cutting out anything that isn’t lactose-free or that contains sugar. So basically, stick to meat, veggies, fish…
    • RMJ
I have trouble with nausea. It often starts when I’m anxious about something (home repairs, sick dog) but continues long after the home is repaired or the dog is healthy again. When it happens I eat less and lose weight.  My gastroenterologist suggested ginger or peppermint tea. I don’t know if that will work or not because I haven't had the problem since she suggested it.
    • Colleen H
Hello  I'm not sure what to think . Seems no matter what I do I get sick. I had some yogurt with only 2 grams of sugar and is labeled gluten free ...the strawberry version seemed to really set me off My jaw is burning as well as my stomach and my feet.  Horrible pain..plus acid reflux and nausea... sensitivity to touch pain. ..yikes !! I don't know if it's from the lactose in the yogurt or if I'm getting an ulcer  This condition can make you question yourself quite a bit.  Then if you are not sure the anxiety comes 😞 Does any of these symptoms sound familiar to anyone? The neuropathy is quite intense.  What do you eat or drink after this happens  Open to suggestions  Thank you
