Another Canadian in SillyVille. :blink: I did not know there were three of us! And all three of us both celiac and diabetid. OMG! We better check the Yeti's citizenship. If he's also a Canadian, he may need to be tested for celiac disease and diabetes. Can you give insulin to a Yeti?

MYgawd....Peter, you may be onto something. He has looked rather...vacant...at times, and certainly irritable. He looks thinner, as well. Hyperglycemia? Great, I can see it now...I've been the token inseam-measurer, next I'll be the insulin-injector. I WANT DANGER PAY FOR THIS!

Beautiful new av, Carla!

Did you hear... Winnipeg is making a new bra? All support no cup!!

:lol::lol::lol::lol::lol:

You Saskatchewan fans are incredible!! Your insane spirit is something to be marvelled at. Toronto never knew what hit them... :lol:

Carry on, goofballs. I shall check in when I have retrieved my mojo or whatever 'tis that I've lost.

Poor Susie...hope you feel better toute de suite. We'll help you retrieve your mojo...just give us a page or two...! ;)

:lol: Joyful!...Funny biblical anecdotes!....boy, am I out of my league...

Didn't someone have a problem with the yeti weeing inappropriately? Diabetes explains everything. We minght end up with a much more well behaved, agreeable yeti!

We'll have to carefully calculate the dose for him -- we certainly don't wanting a belligerent hypoglycemic yeti on our hands. And certainly a Yeti seizure would be dangerous for all involved.

I will not be near his mouth so he doesn't bite his tongue!

How's THAT for philosophical syllogisms 101? :lol:

"syllogisms" :lol:

I was in an accident on the freeway last night!!

:o Oh Tom--I'm so glad you're ok. That happened to me on my way to work a few years ago--I was stopped at a stopsign, and the guy behind me smacked right into me. He said his foot slipped off the brake pedal <_< ...anyway, there was no damage to my car, either, and I was about to be late so that was that.

This is for a kid's school project ... if you see this tonight, what kind of pie do you like?

I know it's too late, but I hate to be left out :lol: . So, it's pecan. (your new pic is cute :D )

And all three of us both celiac and diabetid.

That's interesting...I knew that about all of you, but never really put it together.

Did you hear... Winnipeg is making a new bra? All support no cup!!

Lisa!!!! Popping into sillyville with a sillie :D How've ya been?

Just the most furtive and quiet little halloooo from dingy here. Been quite a week, and I'm not sure if I"ve lost my mojo or just my sense of humoUr, or both?????????????? ZOIGS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You poor thing :( It's been one thing after another for you lately. I hope the mojo is back in working order soon. :)

In the video...

#3: No Biblical pickup lines are to be used.

The video cuts to my boyfriend and my sister talking.

BF: For you, I would work seven years. And then, I would work seven more years for your sister.

S: *awkward look* :huh:

If you don't recognize it, google the story of Jacob, Rachel, and Leah.

:lol: :lol: :lol:

Finally another pecan!! I like it best, too!!!

I've only had pecan pie once in my life, but it was really good.

I just love pumpkin everything. I used to live near a little ice cream shop that had pumpkin custard ice cream... I would have them make me a milkshake out of it, and it was sooooooo good!

blueeyedmanda Community Regular

I love chocolate peanut butter milkshakes....maybe I will make one tonight.

Gad....can you imagine the size of the glucagon injection he'd need? Goes by weight... :o

And BTW, who's gonna test his blood six times a day? Where would you draw from? Too much hair everywhere....perhaps his nose?

It barely even seems like it deserves to be CALLED pie to ME!

It's a shame the whole Yeti-as-courier won't work out.

I think Fresno's airport is his next stop, and I'd wondered whether he may be able to bring a big box o' EastCoast Mojo w/ him. (Would enough fit in a carry-on bag?)

Of course I'm assuming Patti would volunteer to shorten her stewardship & dispatch him 'toot sweet' <_<:P:lol: (a 3rd way to say it!)

<or just a comPLETEly inadequate rendition?>

What with how often Susie offers to "Send the Dingos!", certainly my woeful tale of 'A Shelf Too High' (hehe saw 'a bridge too far' again recently) takes a backseat.

Yippee for Friday!!!!!!

(As if it's any different to ME! My main difference betw, say, a Tuesday & a Saturday is that the sports start in the morning on Sat)

Just got an offer for Sharks (NHL) game in a luxury suite for tonight, but have plans to see a jazz guitarist who's a friend of a friend. And it's just a few blocks down woohoo! (Actually the SharkTank, 'hp pavilion' is walkable too, tho in my state I'd highly prefer biking it)

The guitarist is at a wine bar ( Open Original Shared Link ) called A Perfect Finish. I'm hoping to snag one of the oversized chairs in the corner. ;)

Any wine recommendations???

<tom's still not convinced he can be a wine drinker :( >

I had this very nice Raspberry wine once, I forgot the name though :)

Tom is absolutely right--the Yeti will be on his way to Ca in the morning! This means, of course, that he will miss the party at Bev's for her niece, but I think the kids will have just as good a time. He may have scared a few of them anyway :P

I'm thinking that the bumbling antics of our large, furry friend will help put Susie's mojo back in business. He'll remind her of all of us! (and that's a good thing....right :unsure: ).....of COURSE it is :lol:

How can anyone not like pecan pie :o:huh::D

The main difference to me (being a stay at home Mum) is that I don't have to get up while it's still dark - a lay in......sheer bliss.

YIPEE for Saturdays!!!!!!!!!

It's a shame he'll miss Bev's niece's birthday party - but needs must.

He can shampoo Susie's carpet (after the Stinker 'trod poo all over' incident)..maybe even take 'the girls' for their walk?

I think Susie's girls will love him--like Nikki said--he can take them for their walks and help around the house. He'll be like a big, fuzzy Dingo Nanny :D

Heehee it takes an easterner to refer to Fresno using the word Coast! :P:lol:

Uh-oh! Maybe I jumped the gun! He may have a connecting flight thru LAX or SFO, before the FUN.

:o

OGM - Yeti, here, to my house?

(looks around at small messes to clean up)

:unsure:

Oh I don't think this is a good weekend for him to come............

Well, I suppose we'll manage. I can always use a break from the dingo-walking and picking up the, um, deposits and bunches of sod they leave....better put fresh sheets on the bed and clean his bathroom. We havne't a hottub here, he'll have to use the guest shower............

oh, AND I'll be sending Yeti over to see the people who cut down the trees.

MOO-HOO-HOOOO-HAAAAAA-HAAAAAAAA-HAAA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :angry::lol:

Um, Tom, BTW, West Coast DOES include central valley. Doesn't just mean beach towns.....when I say East Coast I could be referring to Boston, w. Virginia, New York, anywhere.......

:lol: Patti. Big, Fuzzy Dingo Nanny. :lol: Yes, Stinker's teeth WILL be a-chattering, but I think Annie will take to him nicely - she loves everybody.

Hi Susie!!! :D

So good to have you back--and get ready 'cuz he's on the way.

      Im so frustrated and still getting the run around trying to reprove my celiac disease which my past primary ignored for 25 years.I understand that theres a ray of medical that doctors are limited too but not listening and telling the patient ( me) that im not as sensitive as I think and NOT celiac!Correction Mr white coat its not what I think but for cause and affect and past test that are not sticking in my medical records.I get sick violently with foods consumed, not eating the foods will show Im fabulous. After many blood draws and going through doctors I have the HLA- DQ2 positive which I read in a study that Iran conducted that the severity in celiac is in that gene.Im glutenfree and dealing with related issues which core issue of celiac isn't addressed. My skin, right eye, left leg diagestive issues affected. I have high blood pressure because im in pain.Im waisting my time on trying to reprove that Im celiac which is not a disease I want, but unfortunately have.It  has taken over my life personally and professionally. How do I stop getting medically gaslight and get the help needed to bounce back if I ever do bounce back to normal? I thought I was in good care with " celiac specialist " but in her eyes Im good.Im NOT.Sibo positive, IBS, Chronic Fatigue just to name a few and its all related to what I like to call a ghost disease ( celiac) since doctors don't seem to take it seriously.

      @Martha Mitchell, your reaction to the lens implant with gluten sounds like it could be an allergic reaction rather than a celiac reaction. It is possible for a celiac to be also allergic to gluten as it is a protein component in wheat, barley and rye.

      Scott I also have different symptoms than most people. It affects me bad. Stomach ache, headache, nauseous, heart racing, whole body shaking, can't walk then my throat starts to close. It attacks my nervous system. The only thing that saves me is a 1/2 of Xanax...it calms down my nervous system

      Scott Adams. I was dealing with a DR that didn't care about me being celiac. I repeatedly told him that I was celiac and is everything gluten-free. He put an acrylic lens from j&j. I called the company to ask about gluten and was told yes that the acrylic they use has gluten....then they back tracked immediately and stopped talking to me. The Dr didn't care that I was having issues. It took me 6 months and a lot of sickness to get it removed.... which can only happen within 6 months. The Dr that took it out said that it was fused and that's why I lost vision. If they would have removed it right away everything would be fine. He put in a silicone one that was gluten-free and I've had no issues at all in the other eye. Do not do acrylic!
