Judy thats great you are going to take a class. I bet it will be fun and intellectual. Just got back from the grocery store...what a zoo!

HA don't really want intellectual........want to 'throw a pot' or do a neat pot with Indian twist. Just want my mind to 'float' and my creativity to spill out..........

And how is it you expect us to believe you only had coffee? :thatMomlook:

Love the "Momlook" we need a icon for that LOL If i could have indulged in the mamoso I SHOULD would have ..........loved them in before the 'can't eat out years' of checking all ingred.. B)

Judy, what course are you going to take? Something fun and stimulating, or intellectual and mature? Hell, don't bother wif a course... . . just stay in Sillyville, where you get it all! <_<

Someone made contact with Ptaoughmghmn?? I must have missed that.......just Amanda's, or did someone else get a longer response?

I have been holding off emailing him as I assumed he would be getting bombarded with emails from inquiring well-wishers.....HOW IS HE DOING??

EM...so phunny,., "could stay in sillyville where i get it all" your right but the agrophobia is trying to grab me again......have to get out of the house and into the world. class will be fun and stimulating for sure.

as i said my emails to Tom got returned there for a few days so i stopped too. Sure wish he'd come back.

Think it was Susie Q who said she heard from him but that was all she said. Know Amanda got a text

I didn't email Pataughmn because the last couple of group emails I've replied to, his comes back undeliverable (full mailbox). I am really concerned about him ....

Judith--I think it's fantastic that you're considering taking a class. I'm so happy that you and Jim went today and had such a nice time :D

Amanda--it did get warm today. How are you doing? B)

Nik!!! Yer wedding picture is beautiful......regal even! :D

woops, patti just said the same thing......found the catalog and me glasses but not me brain I guess

Ah shucks thanks Patricia...... ;) yer can't wait for the class. I took classes 24 years ago there in a dark dank basement and this new pottery studio is spectacular........... :P

Amanda how was the dinner.

yep that's our REGAL Kiki

I did email Tom, basically he's feeling very unsilly :(:(

I told him that we all have been very worried and his presence is greatly missed and hoped he would at least pop in and say hello.

Hi JOO-DEE!!! A class sounds like good fun, stimulating for the noggin for sure :)

Ah our sweet Julie. how nice of you

for the noggin and the heart. ;)

Then John and I want to check on a house down the road.

Plus I just made my muffins. They are good :) More later

Glad the muffins were good.

Did you see a new house

well off to ck the catalogs.

have a fun nite me sillies

Did they happen to mention which spices? Were they appropriate for the sausage? Or was it more of a dessert rub?

*snoooooort*  gawd - dessert rub

Now THIS is really quite important, Jess, leave it to our pscientist to come up wif these questions.

I must call this reporter at the newspaper and find out exactly what went on.....what spices.....what kind of sausage.......was it nitrate-free, for example? Here's a quip:

"A burglar who broke into a home just east of Fresno rubbed spices over the body of one of two men as they slept in their rooms and then used an 8-inch sausage to whack the other man on the face and head before running out of the house..."

so.......apparently SIZE does matter    It did also say that the spices and sausage were obtained from teh victims' home, and that a dog ate the sausage after the perpetrator discarded it

Soup-szee finds this hilarious

yes Susie please do secure all spices and or flacid like meat products.....they can be used in un-lawful entries..... :D

Dinner was fun--- Jen is so much more relaxed with out all Becky's drama which is nice.

The houses were ok---a look inside will be a deciding factor.

Jen and I are going to Baltimore tomorrow. We need to take Becky to the airport to catch a flight to Denver. If Jen allows her to get there on her own we are worried she wont go and Jen's grandma will be out the money for the plane ticket. We are deciding to go to IKEA on the way home and Jen will stop at Whole Foods for me. Exciting!!!! I have not been to IKEA in 2 yrs and it has been over a yr for Whole Foods. So it sounds like a fun time for my last day of vacation, plus we are attending a Pampered Chef party tomorrow night at my SIL Natalies house. A very girlie day for sure! I cannot wait.

So now I am going to finsih my housework, Landen is sleeping in the next room, and I need a get a shower too.

Be back in a bit sillies!

Can he be wearing boxers underneath his trousers pants, or, no boxers, period? This means I'd have to ASK everyone if they were wearing boxers......you know......gosh......I"ll have to consider this now becuase there is always the chance I could end up covered in spices and whacked with a sausage at the end of every date  (one can hope  )

ohhhhhhhhhhhhhh wait - you probably just meant that I shouldn't go out with men who are wearing ONLY boxers. Oh, okay, good to know

Morning, All those Silliest!

Nik, I heard about some torrential flooding in Western England.....lots of property and homes devastated. You're just outside of London, correct? We can assume you're okay........

Souczie......If a guy asks you to *join him for dinner*,........make sure he's not wearing boxers :P

Hey! maybe this guy WAS a boxer... .. . ...using this poor migrant worker's face as a punching bag (with a sausage....have to think about that one.....an extension of his glove, p'raps?), using spices (as it is rumoured the heavyweights do) for mental alertness.......and of course, the Everlast shorts in place (did the article mention the brand?).......

Could it have been that very calm, level-headed (!) Mike Tyson? What evah became of that troll?

By far funniest thing in our paper was the man who broke into someones basement and got stuck in the window and had to yell for help....He was on his way out of the house and get this he stole the home owners fake leg.....

Now THIS, fer me, is too much.... . . ......stole some poor bloke's prosthesis.......NOT phunny for the poor man, obviously. He must have spent the next few days walking in circles...... .. . .

Or hopping in circles....I should not say that, me and John's friend is sans 1 leg.....His daughter was my flower girl. We worked with him in the lab.

So I am chilling on the couch, once again not feeling too great. Landen is sitting in his walker watching Sesame Street. Thank goodness for On demand. I have a nice helping of kid shows.

Hopefully I feel better enough to head to Baltimore...

This article does not address migraines at all.  Yes, red wine and sulfites are often mentioned in connection with migraine triggers. With me, any kind of alcoholic beverage in very modest amounts will reliably produce a migraine. Nitrous oxide generators, which are vaso dialators, also will give me migraines reliably. So, I think most of my migraines are tied to fluctuations vascular tension and blood flow to the brain. That's why the sumatriptan works so well. It is a vaso constrictor.

Excessive dietary tyrosine can cause problems.  Everything in moderation.   Sulfites can also trigger migraines. Sulfites are found in fermented, pickled and aged foods, like cheese.  Sulfites cause a high histamine release.  High histamine levels are found in migraine.  Following a low histamine diet like the low histamine Autoimmune Protocol diet, a Paleo diet, helps immensely.    Sulfites and other migraine trigger foods can cause changes in the gut microbiome.  These bad bacteria can increase the incidence of migraines, increasing histamine and inflammation leading to increased gut permeability (leaky gut), SIBO, and higher systemic inflammation.   A Ketogenic diet can reduce the incidence of migraine.  A Paleo diet like the AIP diet, that restricts carbohydrates (like from starchy vegetables) becomes a ketogenic diet.  This diet also changes the microbiome, eliminating the bad bacteria and SIBO that cause an increase in histamine, inflammation and migraine.  Fewer bad bacteria reduces inflammation, lowers migraine frequency, and improves leaky gut. Since I started following the low histamine ketogenic AIP paleo diet, I rarely get migraine.  Yes, I do eat carbs occasionally now, rice or potato, but still no migraines.  Feed your body right, feed your intestinal bacteria right, you'll feel better.  Good intestinal bacteria actually make your mental health better, too.  I had to decide to change my diet drastically in order to feel better all the time, not just to satisfy my taste buds.  I chose to eat so I would feel better all the time.  I do like dark chocolate (a migraine trigger), but now I can indulge occasionally without a migraine after.   Microbiota alterations are related to migraine food triggers and inflammatory markers in chronic migraine patients with medication overuse headache https://pmc.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/articles/PMC11546420/

Then we would need to cut out all meat and fish as they are richer sources of tyrosine than nuts and cheese. Something else about certain tyrosine rich foods must be the actual culprit.

I agree that KAN-101 looks promising, and hope the fast track is approved. From our article below: "KAN-101 shows promise as an immune tolerance therapy aiming to retrain the immune system, potentially allowing safe gluten exposure in the future, but more clinical data is needed to confirm long-term effects."
    • Scott Adams
Thank you so much for having the courage to share this incredibly vivid and personal experience; it's a powerful reminder of how physical ailments can disrupt our fundamental sense of self. What you're describing sounds less like a purely psychological body dysmorphia and more like a distinct neurological event, likely triggered by the immense physical stress and inflammation that uncontrolled celiac disease can inflict on the entire body, including the nervous system. It makes complete sense that the specific sensory input—the pressure points of your elbows on your knees—created a temporary, distorted body map in your brain, and the fact that it ceased once you adopted a gluten-free diet is a crucial detail. Your intuition to document this is absolutely right; it's not "crazy" but rather a significant anecdotal data point that underscores the mysterious and far-reaching ways gluten can affect individuals. Your theory about sensory triggers from the feet for others is also a thoughtful insight, and sharing this story could indeed be validating for others who have had similar, unexplainable sensory disturbances, helping them feel less alone in their journey.
