Ahhhhhhh. . . . . ....This is splendid.. . . . . . .it reminds me of a wondrous, unforgettable quote from my hero, Dr. Seuss. A few years ago I found a lovely, warm winter jacket at Value Village. I had had it for over a year before I suddenly noticed one day a little decorative piece of piping underneath one of the pocket flaps. On it was printed in tiny, swirling script, his line:

HAPPY NUDE NEW YEAR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Em- your drinks sounded DIVINE! I am not supposed to drink but I indulge twice a year- me birfday and New Year's Eve. Last night I had two very weak but YUMMY strawberry margaritas. HEAVENLY!!!!!!!!!!! Kurt and I just hung out, ate a good dinner and waited for the ball to drop. :D

Can someone tell me why boobs are in the same group as storms, black holes, etc.?

I'm not sure about the storms....but this reaffirms for me my theory that (in mammograms, at least) when you force certain cells to collide on a 2 dimensional plane they create a black hole.....thus, it is not a good thing to squish mammies from 3 dimensions to 2.....all of those black holes!!!! :o:o:( <:owieface:>

The best part of being unable to handle drinking....no hangovers! Never had one and have no interest in finding out. Does not sound like phun to moi.

Telehubby is playing with his tools in the basement.....very large and noisy tools they are :o

I have pretty much denuded my house of Christmas. I guess I've had enough of it for one year. Living room looks so very bare right now. Must move houseplants around to fill the void!

Hope yer all having a quiet, loverly first day of the year.

And yes...I love Dr. Suess too! Who doesn't? If it weren't for Sam Hill I'd vote for a Suess Mascot :lol: . I bet I heard the Mr. Grinch Christmas song on the radio a dozen times or more.....always makes me smile.

MORNING PSILLIES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm back in the land of the living!!, finally dressed and out of the bathrobe :D

I'm fed up looking at the tree <_< - but I was always taught that it's unlucky to take your decorations down before the Twelfth day of xmas (may take me chances :rolleyes: )

BACK to the gym over the weekend (YIPEE!!) ...i feel such a slovenly sloth.........kids back to school Monday

Everything is going back to normal AT LAST!!

Gotta pop to Tesco's in a mo,....then my Mum is visiting (NO remarks allowed about Tiger Pig! :angry:)

      NCGS does not cause damage to the small bowel villi so, if indeed you were not skimping on gluten when you had the antibody blood testing done, it is likely you have celiac disease.

      I will assume you did the gluten challenge properly and were eating a lot of gluten daily for 6-8 weeks before your test, but if not, that could be the issue. If your symptoms go away on a gluten-free diet it would likely signal NCGS.

      I'm very confused... My blood test came out negative, I checked all antibodies. I suppose my Total IgA levels are normal (132 mg/dl), so the test should be reliable. Still, I'm not relieved as I can't tolerate even a single biscuit. I need to talk to my doctor about whether a duodenal biopsy is necessary. But it is really possible to have intestinal damage despite having a seronegative results? I have really strong symptoms, and I don't want to keep skipping university lectures or being bedridden at home.

      They may want to also eliminate other possible causes for your symptoms/issues and are doing additional tests.  Here is info about blood tests for celiac disease--if positive an endoscopy where biopsies of your intestinal villi are taken to confirm is the typical follow up.

      In the Europe the new protocol for making a celiac disease diagnosis in children is if their tTg-IgA (tissue transglutaminase IgA) levels are 10 times or above the positive level for celiac disease--and you are above that level. According to the latest research, if the blood test results are at certain high levels that range between 5-10 times the reference range for a positive celiac disease diagnosis, it may not be necessary to confirm the results using an endoscopy/biopsy: Blood Test Alone Can Diagnose Celiac Disease in Most Children and Adults TGA-IgA at or Above Five Times Normal Limit in Kids Indicates Celiac Disease in Nearly All Cases No More Biopsies to Diagnose Celiac Disease in Children! May I ask why you've had so many past tTg-IgA tests done, and many of them seem to have been done 3 times during short time intervals?
