I'm excited!! Guess what Sillies? I'm getting me hair cut by the Deva Method There's a salon in the area that does it--it's supposed to be the very best way to cut curly hair and it takes special training. They do the cut on dry hair and then wash and style it. They observe the way the individual's curl pattern goes, and then cut accordingly.

I went there today while we were out to ask about it--the girl was going to look into the products and let me know what they suggest for me Celiac-wise. I made my appointment for Thursday and she just called--they want me to wash and let my hair air-dry completely (naturally--no blow dry) before I go in, and instead of using their products (which have wheat amino acids), they'll spritz with water to style after the cut.

I've been just growing it out the last few months , so I'm really psyched!!

Just got back from the vets with Harry.

He has been de-peanutted AND vaccinated.

I took him to a vet clinic that does low cost neutering....but when I told them he was a stray I stole took in they waived the fee!!!!!!!!!

OMG those roads are terrible! Took us 45 minutes to get to work....a typical 15 minute drive. It was not fun. Then you have the drivers going way too fast for the conditions.

So here we are another day of work upon us. I am hoping it will be quiet...due to the roads and all.

I'm not gonna miss snaugh at all!

I'm planning to take a stab at cinnamon swirl bread today using my GFP French Bread Mix. Gotta phigure out how to finagle the batter so I can coat it wif cinnamon/sugar and roll. <scratching head>

Weather is pretty shtinky here, too. Not only the snaow (only about 2"), but a heavy coating of ice on top. We're expecting more freezing rain and mixed krapp. Schools close here for everything because there just isn't the equipment to handle clearing the roads (lots of mountainous back roads). 'Course.....this does not directly affect me....no chilluns in this house, and very few in the neighborhood. My son moved a lot farther away from winter than I did...he's in Arizona! Smart boy!

Hi Em! I know what you mean about schools not closing no matter what. When I lived in the Adirondacks it took a lot to get the schools closed! But then again, the snow and bad weather is the norm, and they had the equipment to deal with it. I loved front wheel drive cars, I could get to work safely no matter what! Such an improvement over rear wheel drive!

This weather does not stop the builders. Am listening to heavy equipment, until it vibrates my skull and thru my head! Am trying to be grateful that it's winter, and that it's not nice weather when I want to play outside in peace and quiet! UGH ! Hopefully they won't be too much longer at this.

I say butter or grease the pan, pour some cinnamon sugar in there and swirl it around to coat, just like flouring a pan. Then once the batter's ready, slightly stir in a swirl of cinnamon sugar, then it will mix itself just a bit more as you pour it into the pan. That's what I'd do, anywho. It'll probably take some practice, you'll just have to do this again and again.... sigh.....
