Yes, yes! All excellent! ..... . . . .Jyaghnutt, do you live in a trailer park?

Uhhhh . . . . . . what gave it away?? . . .

If you really want to wear a bra, you can always do the bra with the mesh shirt look.

If you need help "decorating" yer trailer . . . I can help there, too.

Well, Em and I can sit back, relax, and have a drink. The liquor store employees have accepted a tentative agreement. Of course, due to panic buying over the last couple of days, the shelves are just about empty.

((((whew))))!! Gotta run out and get me some trailer park libations..... . . . ..

Bra with a mesh shirt? Crap, scarier and scarier. ... . . ....

Jyaghnutt really knows this stuff.

Scores at the dollar store: big dragon-type temporary tattoos, dangly bauble earrings, wide, black spikey wrist band.. . .....

Will's costume as it stands: T shirt from an official fishing competition (the arms are now cut off), NASCAR baseball cap, long blond clip-on ponytail that I will attach to back of hat. . . .......he will be quite spectacular, methinks.

OK . . . he needs a whole bunch of keys on a big key ring that is then attached to his jean SHORTS with a chain looped around the belt loops. He also needs to wear tube socks with stripes at the top. Work boots would be good with this.

you can have some of my keys . . . I collect "what the hell is this key for" keys in a bowl in me kitchen, I've got plenty and there is no way I'm going to figure out what they are to.

. . . and I feel the need to say (in case I'm offending any newbies or silly-wanna-bes) . . . I know plenty of nice people who live/lived in trailers . . . and plenty of "trash" that don't.

Well done, Jyaghnutt. You have deftly side-stepped a possible trailer-type warning.. . . . ....... :P:lol:

Don't wanna offend anybody. I may be poking fun at all who fish competitively, who wear curlers and bathrobes, who follow car racing and have missing incisors (got some black acrylic tooth paint! ), but it is all in the best of fun.. . .. . . ...um, imitation is often heartfelt flattery.

Striped tube socks! Check!

Has noone else noticed that Jess is our new queen??????????

How in Hell did this happen??? Wasn't someone supposed to be monitoring and announcing the number of posts yet to come and so on and so forth?

Dang it all. Now I gotta get my hair re-cut to suit the crown, and what am I going to do with that jester? He can't hang out in the lab - he'd hurt himself.

gotta get shoes to match the scepter

gold rimmed plates

horse drawn carriage

what else do I need??

Jyessss, yer new patent leather shoon should go with just about anything, even Royal Appointments.

The jester. . . . .. ........hmmm.......he can in fact present a problem. I would NOT bring him into the lab with you - - he would likely drink anything that sits in a beaker, mistaking it for a shot glass.

Perhaps he will hang around at your place with the civckebs.

DO NOT let him drive the horse-drawn carriage! Crap, like my MIL without the funny hat and bells. . . . . .. .

Um, speaking of which. . . . . . . . . ......MIL hits town in exactly six days, twenty hours and thirty-three minutes. She will be here for - - get ready - - EIGHTEEN DAYS.

Well, we will be away for eleven of them whilst she stays wif our animals.

But... . . . . . . . . ........

She will be driving my car.

I say keep the kurlers. You need to look eight months pregnant whilst wearing a tube top . . . can you do that?? . . . do you get that pregnant look if you've been glutened?? . . . at a minimum, look very pregnant, keep a cig in yer mouth and carry a bottle of booze . . . and for Pete's sake DON"T wear a bra!!! (*giggle* there ya go, Peter, maybe Em'll go braless for ya *giggle*) . . . and no shaving between now and then and don't wash your hair . . . how fast can you grow a mullet?? . . . or bleach your hair but protect about an inch of roots for that two-tone look.

 this sounds a bit harrowing.......dirty, unshaven, with a mullet? bleached two-tone hair??????? good Lord. Don't do anything permanent, Em  And, frankly, I don't think you should actually STINK at this party. But you CAN go buy some stuff at the dollar store (I'd imagine) that is some styling product to make yer hair look dirty. Or, there's always corn syrup.

. ......

Okay, went to The Village and found a tank top with cheap lace all over it, some ugly cheap hangy earrings, a big temporary tattoo of a skull surrounded by roses. ....it is a good start.

No bra, huh? Scary. . ... .....

Well, I think you SHOULD go and get a very very scary SCREAMING obnoxious bra, and let the straps hang down yer arms. ;) even better.

Em--we WILL require a picture of you all tarted up fer this par-tay.

And Em and Peter can sit in de garden and sip (beverage of choice, according to respective allergies) until the employees decide whether to ratify or reject. Bet there won't be much likker left on the shelves in a day or two :P Except how can Em relax with MIL in house AND driving her car  But Em's going to be all tarted up in lace tube top??? wiv bra straps hanging on her elbows....What will MIL think??

And in the meantime everyone is now worrying about being PC and not offending feelings of those who have any feelings left to be trashed after hanging out in this place. I should think we would all know that everything is fair game and is all meant in JESSt and humour and good fellowship :) I think we left our thin skins at the door--at least I thought that was what that receptacle was for

New av needed, from the back again. Jaghnutt, with all your ingenious, hilarious photo-pimping prowess in our Psillyville avatars, it is difficult to name my favorite one. I do think, though, that the back of Smackl's hairy head, in all its un-photoshoppedness, was splendid.

Oh . . . it's not gonna dissappear . . . we're just hoping for some hair "management". He is such a ten year old. Now along with NOT changing his underwear, he now wears the same T-shirt for days in a row. When I comment on it, he'll wear a different shirt for a day and then go back to the other one . . . as if I, the washer of all laundry, will think that is was cleaned during that day he didn't wear it . . . yet no laundry was done . . . hmmmm. If you tell him to brush his hair, he takes one swipe done the middle. However, everyone loves his hair. Perfect stranges can't keep their hands off of it. If they knew how often he actually washed it (wet means washed, right?. . . hey, I went swimming today, I don't have to wash it . . .), they wouldn't touch it!!

I agree, it so often overlooked! I live in the UK and I have often wondered why doctors are so reluctant to at least exclude it - my thoughts are perhaps the particular tests are expensive for the NHS, so therefore saved for people with 'obvious' symptoms.  I was diagnosed in 2013 and was told immediately that my parents, sibling and children should be checked.  My parents' GP to this day has not put forward my father for testing, and my mother was never tested in her lifetime, despite the fact that they both have some interesting symptoms/family history that reflect they might have coeliac disease (Dad - extreme bloating, and his Mum clearly had autoimmune issues, albeit undiagnosed as such; Mum - osteoporosis, anxiety).  I am now my father' legal guardian and suspecting my parents may have forgotten to ask their GP for a test (which is entirely possible!) I put it to his last GP that he ought to be tested.  He looked at Dad's blood results and purely because he was not anemic said he wasn't a coeliac.  Hopefully as the awareness of Coeliac Disease spreads among the general public, people will be able to advocate for themselves.  It is hard because in the UK the NHS is very stretched, but the fallout from not being diagnosed in a timely fashion will only cost the NHS more money. Interestingly, a complete aside, I met someone recently whose son was diagnosed (I think she said he was 8).  At a recent birthday party with 8 guests, 4 boys out of the 8 had received diagnosis of Coeliac Disease, which is an astounding statistic  As far as I know, though, they had all had obvious gastric symptoms leading to their NHS diagnosis.  In my own case I had  acute onset anxiety, hypnopompic hallucinations (vivid hallucinations upon waking),  odd liver function, anxiety, headaches, ulcers and low iron but it wasn't until the gastric symptoms hit me that a GP thought to do coeliac testing, and my numbers were through the roof.  As @trents says, by the grace of God I was diagnosed, and the diet has pretty much dealt with most of those symptoms.  I have much to be grateful for. Cristiana

@xxnonamexx, There's labeling on those Trubar gluten free high fiber protein bars that say: "Manufactured in a facility that also processes peanuts, milk, soy, fish, WHEAT, sesame, and other tree nuts." You may want to avoid products made in shared facilities.   If you are trying to add more fiber to your diet to ease constipation, considering eating more leafy green vegetables and cruciferous vegetables.  Not only are these high in fiber, they also are good sources of magnesium.  Many newly diagnosed are low in magnesium and B vitamins and suffer with constipation.  Thiamine Vitamin B1 and magnesium work together.  Thiamine in the form Benfotiamine has been shown to improve intestinal health.  Thiamine and magnesium are important to gastrointestinal health and function.

Welcome to celiac.com @sha1091a! Your experience is a very common one. Celiac disease is one the most underdiagnosed and misdiagnosed medical conditions out there. The reasons are numerous. One key one is that its symptoms mimic so many other diseases. Another is ignorance on the part of the medical community with regard to the range of symptoms that celiac disease can produce. Clinicians often are only looking for classic GI symptoms and are unaware of the many other subsystems in the body that can be damaged before classic GI symptoms manifest, if ever they do. Many celiacs are of the "silent" variety and have few if any GI symptoms while all along, damage is being done to their bodies. In my case, the original symptoms were elevated liver enzymes which I endured for 13 years before I was diagnosed with celiac disease. By the grace of God my liver was not destroyed. It is common for the onset of the disease to happen 10 years before you ever get a diagnosis. Thankfully, that is slowly changing as there has developed more awareness on the part of both the medical community and the public in the past 20 years or so. Blessings!

@EndlessSummer, You said you had an allergy to trees.  People with Birch Allergy can react to green beans (in the legume family) and other vegetables, as well as some fruits.  Look into Oral Allergy Syndrome which can occur at a higher rate in Celiac Disease.   Switching to a low histamine diet for a while can give your body time to rid itself of the extra histamine the body makes with Celiac disease and histamine consumed in the diet.   Vitamin C and the eight B vitamins are needed to help the body clear histamine.   Have you been checked for nutritional deficiencies?
