OMG. Calgary will never be the same again.

DEAR GAWD..... . . . .....what a time we had at that Stampede!!

They may never be the same, in fact. . .. . .......I wore my penis earrings to show off the mind space of we east-coasters (well.. .. ..... . . . okay, not really all east-coast women. . .... . .. ..just, uh... . . .......those who are. . . . ... . . .well . . . . .okay, of ME). As a result, had many people asking me if I could custom-make a pair, personalized, I suppose.. . .. ..

Man, these people really talk my language.:lol:

Was chatting with a Clydesdale breeder about equine anal glands. . .. ......

AND:

Some eyebrow-raising, noteworthy thumbage out here......particularly on the cattle handlers.. . . . ....

Leeeeeesargh1 Just had time to scoot through your pre-wedding account........so beautiful, and exciting!!

:):)

Good Thursday evenin, sills B)

I have, um, put a hunk of meat atop a flaming barbecue  I don't think things are supposed to be done this way.....because soon, the whole piece of meat was aflame

Completely blackened on one side - we will see

I don't know what in hell I'm doing with the man's work barbecue

pets are highly interested in the procedure, however.....

and Skit has gotten a WILD STREAK in him and is TEARING through the house, wiv a DISTINCT display of silleigh!!!!!!!!!!!!

out of my mind over this!!

Had quite a scare with Nathan this week, but he's out of the woods, now

Oh Lisa, good to hear. :)

Um..........this wedding.......GOOD GAWD!!!!!!!!! :lip quiver: sounds absolutely wonderful!!!!!!! Is it this weekend? Can't imagine there'll be a dry eye in the house.

Um, sillies, we are really remiss........we SHOULD have been organizing a parade for this, you know....... what in hell has happened to our manners? our planning? our hutzpah?

Suzzee . . . Derek the man-child . . . so how old is he? . . . but awfully nice of him

Young Derek is 21. Can do and fix ANYTHING, and has quite a bit of stamina for punishing, heinous things. Like, building and welding a wondrous barbecue in a warehouse in Fresno in 100-plus degrees, day in, day out. I'd last two seconds. Then crawling around in the heat for two weeks straight and many weekends of the year on his belly, cleaning out marijuana gardens, getting poison oak EVERYWHERE

eejits, all of them - not kidding *snoooooort* makes me larph (don't tell them)

Just wanted to share with you all - I'm planning on thinking today.

This requires loud music (headphones) and no shoes and much tugging of hair (not sure why this is necessary, but it seems to be). If all goes well I will actually have a complete outline of everything I've done (on one project) for the last two years. Don't see any point in doing this, except that I'll have a really good time.

And I made the coffee in the breakroom this morning, so for once it's strong enough.

 as Jan-it said, this post DOES have lots of potential. I ain't got the brains to takkel it, though *yawn*

Hey, where is Mimms? and Tah-ree-sargh? so quiet here lately......

I did keep me clothes on ....Well, I did it! Got me hair cut off Will need to get used to this....it is a lot cooler, though

PADT! ya did it! Brave lady, you are ;) yes, we DO need a pic toot saweet!

Patt said de rigeur

Selective quoting . . . Patti appears to be very proud of herself for keeping her clothes on whilst she was wif Estaban . . .

Looking forward to a pic Patti . . . one of yer hair . . . and would also like to see one of Estaban!!!

yes! Photos of Esteban! NEKKID!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

To everyone else ((((((((((HELLO))))))))))))))))!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Miss you guys- not much silly or energy these days but I had fun, fun, fun in Vermont. Kurt and I (and my dad, sis and her family) all went up for the 4th of July. I couldn't find me a Champ costume. Went as a woodland nympho.

Peter and Em- I could practically swim to Canada from where I was but unfortunately, 'twould have been Quebecians waiting with a towel, not Ontarians- and I wouldn't have understood them as they speak their Quebecois French. I could NOT, however, swim to Ontario.

Bevel swimming to Canada!!!!!!!!!! this sounds so........exotic.....bloody landlocked here - takes quite a while to reach a foreign country....but maybe if I got in the canal, I could swim to.........Mendota

and, your holiday weekend sounds like somehting out of my dreams - I'm coming next year!!!!!!

DEAR GAWD..... . . . .....what a time we had at that Stampede!!

crazy, nutty, penis-wearin' Lady at the Stampede - makes me guffaw - can't wait to hear more

1:23 in the morn, pholks, and I am WIDE AWAKE. I mean, have taken full drugs (and then some) for sleep (hours ago) and.......could literally multi-task all night.

I think it's these gym workouts (yup, just started back and am quite pleased with self) in the evenings.....might have been too late and I got too worked up?

<yawn> I slept for 9 hours straight last night.....can't remember the last time that happened. <stretch>

We took a ride to check out the progress on the house (they began framing :D ), and I found the Betty Crocker gluten-free baking mixes at the Kroger near there. The grocery store in my neighboUrhood here doesn't have them--I got the cookie mix, yellow cake, and brownie. Thinking of making the brownies today. :)

Morning Everyone-

Well we are settled into our new office. Its very bright and airy. The move was exhausting! I am only here till 1 today and then it is off to get Silvia. I am so excited!

We are planning on attending my coworkers post-move stress relief party tonight and then tomorrow heading to the zoo and in the evening to my SIL's campsite by the river. So a very busy weekend planned.

Paddiegh loving the new do!

Lisa- the wedding sounds so nice. Our first dance was to From this Moment by Shania Twain and my dad and I danced to Butteryfly Kisses....we both sobbed the entire time. I still have a hard time listening to that song....

Hope all my other sillies are well!

For some reason I find this quite amusing. Trying to figure out what a labtop would actually be...

You look fab Patti, but do try to <snort> next time your pic is took.

Good aft every bodee. Looks like I've missed a lot :)

Not much to say. Been busy with kid(s) (took on a couple extra for a short stint). Lots of cheap summer activities going on--took the monsters children bowling (had a coupon), took them to open swim ($2 each), took them to the township fireworks display ($2-3K in taxes)...

Hearing "I'm bored! We never do anything!"~priceless! <_<

I'm definitely feeling my age, folks. The list of complaints is thus:

Stubbed toe, mosquito bite, husband kicks me in the night.

Wrinkles, knees, ovaries,

pollen in the air is making me sneeze.

Chlorine made my hair like straw,

men used to ogle--now they guffaw.

Once called "young and full of life"--

now called "mommy, ma'am, and wife".

House is dirty and disorganised.

My favorite old jeans won't go past my fat thighs.

Receding gums and senstive teeth

are other things that cause me grief.

Getting old like this really stinks,

and not much fun, me thinks.

Okay, we are all, then, freakin' gorgeous. . . .........

I am tres fatiguee.

Too much driving, too many different beds in ten nights. Haven't slept with me husband in some time - - been trying to sleep whilst bunking with my snoring, thrashing, mumbling dear daughter......she, however, is the better of the two, for The Ripper kicks like Beckham.

DH has been quite obviously glutened in the last few days, as he is farting like no one can imagine. Our room, at times, smells very like the cattle barn at the Stampede.

Yee haw.

Last night, Mark and I listened to Earth, Wind and Fire, and Chicago in the park. They were playing in the pavillion, which is open-air, so you can hear the music all over the neighborhood.

during the gluten challenge I did not consume any wheat germ   the wheat germ is TOASTED - it's the only way it is sold now afiak doesn't matter I consume vast amounts of lectin containing foods PROPERLY prepared and have for well over a decade. They do not bother me in the least.    no anemia however the endo who ordered the celiac panel is the one who suggested the 2 week gluten challenge of eating at least 2 slices of bread per day or a serving of pasta- ALSO put me on a new drug at the same time (not a good idea)  I ate 4 slices because they were thin, or 2 English muffins, and just once some lasagna that someone else made since I stopped eating wheat pasta years ago. The English muffins caused some of the worst symptoms but that pc of lasagna almost killed me ( not literally but the pain was extreme) during those 12 days there were at least 3 times I considered going to Urgent Care.   This entire process was a waste of time TBH due to being on that new drug at the exact same time. it is impossible to tell if the drug I am taking for the possible renal calcium leak is working or not- given the dramatic response to the gluten challenge and resulting nausea (no vomiting) and eventually a loss of appetite and lower intake of foods so now I have a dangerously low potassium level   I don't have a simple case of celiac or no- I have an extremely complicated case with multiple variables I am seeing an endocrinologist for a problem with the calcium sensing glands - that system is very complicated and she has been unable to give me a firm diagnosis after many tests with confusing and often alarming results. She also appears to be inexperienced and unsure of herself. but I don't have the luxury of finding a new endo due to multiple issues of insurance, lack of drs in my area, money and transportation. so I'm stuck with her At least she hasn't given up    in any case I can assure you that lectins are not and never were the problem. I know they are a favorite villain in some circles to point to, but I have ZERO symptoms from my NORMAL diet which DOES NOT contain gluten. The longer I went without bread or foods with wheat like raisin bran cereal, the better I have felt. my body had been telling me for several years that wheat was the problem- or maybe specifically gluten, that remains to be seen- and stopping eating it was the best thing I could have done   I almost had unnecessary MAJOR SURGERY due to joint pain that I ONLY have if I am eating bread or related products I assumed it was the refined grains - never really suspected gluten but it does not matter I won't put that poison in my body ever again not that it is literally poison but it is def toxic to me

@catnapt,  I'm sorry you're having such a rough time.   How much wheat germ and how much gluten were you eating? Lectins in beans can be broken down by pressure cooking them.  Do you pressure cook your beans?  Were you pressure cooking your wheat germ? What drugs are you taking?  Some immunosuppressive drugs affect IgA production.  Do you have anemia?

Welcome to the forum @Known1, What reaction were you expecting? Pipingrock.com High Potency Vitamin D3, 2000 IU, 250 Quick Release Softgels $6.89 I've have been taking the 10,000 IU for close to 10 years. When I started with vitamin D I worked my way up to 10000 over several weeks.  Even at 8000 I felt no noticeable difference.  Then after a few days at 10000 it hit Whoa, sunshine in a bottle.  celiac disease causes malabsorption of dietary D and you've poor UV access.  It took me from 2015 to 2019 to get my 25(OH)D just to 47 ng/ml.  Another two years to get to 80.  70 to 100 ng/ml seems to be the body's natural upper homeostasis  based on lifeguard studies.  Dr. Holick has observed the average lifeguard population usually has a vitamin D 3 level of around 100 ng/ml. Could it be that our normal range is too low given the fact that ¾ or more of the American population is vitamin D deficient? Your Calcium will increase with the vitamin D so don't supplement calcium unless you really need it.  Monitor with PTH  and 25(OH)D tests. Because of your Marsh 3 damage you need to ingest way more than the RDA of any supplement to undo your specific deficiencies. I believe you are in the goiter belt.  Unless you have reason not to, I recommend pipingrock's Liquid Iodine for price and quality.  The RDA is 150 to 1100 mcg.  In Japan the safe upper level is set at 3000 mcg.  Start with one drop 50 mcg to test for adverse response and build up.  I found 600 mcg (12 drops) a day is helping repair my body.  Iodine is necessary to healing.  90% of daily iodine intake is excreted in urine.  A Urine Iodine Concentration (UIC) can tell how much Iodine you got that day.  The thyroid TSH test will not show iodine deficiency unless it is really bad.

I don't know if I am getting sufficient Omega Threes. I read about  phosphotidyl choline may cause heart issues. I will have o do further research on heathy Omega 3 supplements or from foods. Is there a blood test that can tell you everything level in your system such as Thiamine, Benfotiamine levels etc? Thanks
