*sigh*

You too eh??... why are all the old school chums fabulously wealthy and successful

Very slow brain today.....tired....... Harry (Lithuanian kitteh) woke me up at 2.00am leaping out of the cat carry box on top of me wardrobe

He crash landed on me feet, said ''oh Hai - can you let me out now???''

Cat's are normally kicked out at night....but this clever li'l fella snuck in

Anyhoo - could nae get back to sleep until 20 mins BEFORE the alarm went off

Carry ON !!!!!!!!!!

*snooooooort* Love Nikkel's whole post  and evil Burundian Lithuanian kitteh

and I know, I HATE those rich friends <_<

<but if *I* were rich, I'd fly me friends from hither and yon to me very own cabin :( )

Having Dennis Quaid superhotty right..next...DOOR <swoon> is the deciding factor, Love. "the kicker" indeed

well......just might need to borrow a cup o' sugar, er summat

Bah, Soooozle.........just run off copies of the 2,200-page Psillyville Tome and hand them out upon your arrival - - "All right, this about covers what's been goin' on in MY head, and life, over the past few years"......

SORTED!!!!!!!!!!!

I know! If things go badly you can 'confess' to earning your living as a high-paid call girl and then act like you recognise her husband's photograph

I went 'schmoozing' once or twice wif some hob-nobbers I knew and I still laugh about it. The only one who didn't accept me for the person I am was even less, shall we say 'fortunate' than I am. Once I was invited to attend a $200 a plate charity lunch. The hostess/speaker was a highly prominent newswoman who was more recently relieved of her position for her alleged involvement in a little "pay to play" scandal we call Synegro. My table mate--the well-to-do'er who brought me--didn't know what to do with the cold potato soup, so instead of using her spoon she picked up the glass and belted it back like a beer  She later told me that "rich people have better manners" and I almost choked.

BRILLIANT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

OMG  Raychull's tomatoe poo-em *snackle*

but - why would this snooty-poot drink soup from a.....glass? what in hell? why were they serving soup in glasses? (finding this amusing and - her comment, even moreso)

I'd go in a min. Think of all the free stuff that we "normal" peeps can't afford. Just get thee arse to a highclass thrift shop and spend a little more than you can afford on something really dingo-esque. I'm sure you look fine, and your personality is Suburb. I was never rich, but most of my friends were. It never stopped me. I used to be richer, but now I'm dirt poor ( the reccesion hit us years ealier than most), but I'd get my arse to a high..........

Yes, I'm aware of the Burning Man thing and would love to go, but that dirt poor thing always gets in the way. Besides, anything with the word MAN in it is out for me, with all the heartache I've had with that 4-timing jugular. But, I might take him back and share him. Isn't sharing a good thing and really the base for any good foot orgy?

The Seezio from Ohio

Seezio   In Ohio!! Not Ireland.

A Dingo-esque outfit  What would that be?

I already told them I didn't want to leave the manor, and we'd just hang around in our sweats and goof off all weekend.......they mentioned wearing their CHRISTIAN LOUBOUTINS while going out.....I told them the most I'd do is paint the bottoms of my flip-flops red

<for any who do not read ridiculous gossip magazines as I do, and who may not know, Louboutins are EXTREMELY expensive heels with red soles - like - starting at $500 and goign wayyyyyyyyyyyy on up - hostess owns a few - I don't give a crap>

when that word (Louboutin) was thrown down, I went out of my gourde - -

Burning Man - - scares me to death  Crazy pagan bacchanal......nutty!

I am much more of the Woodstock era - a bit too young but, my brothers were 8 and 10 years older than I, I grew up loving all of that music.....

It'll be a blast Suze. They've acquired money, you've acquired experiences. Yours are better.

 Um........they go to Paris and New YOrk all the time, for God's sake ....I live in Clovis

(I MUST copy and paste what I wrote on someone's fb today - really destroyed them all in its silliness)

That is the most eridulite pome I have ever read. It catches the essence of tomatoe!

eridulite

Nah......you're more than likely 10x hotter than them. I overheard a woman say this weekend, "Body by kids, maintained by Coors"

Um.........okay.......I need to post photos of the hostess (Peggy) somehow. She looks like......trying to figure out who. More gorgeous than many starlets. STUNNINGLY beautiful. <_< And then there's the darling (and completely wackl, I love her) Rae Dunn (you can google her), the sculptress........... *sigh* too much stress already, and it's not even September.

Poeter - cracking up

forgot everything. Must eat. Going mad today.......for so many reasons

and it is not as hot here today...

Last night we had some nasty storms roll through before we made it home from work....they toppled my tomato plants...I was in tears. I worked so hard on those tomatoes and I was just getting red cherry tomatoes.... John salvaged most.

Another slow moving day thankfully I am only here till 4.

Good news on the pooch!! I didn't want to tell this story until we got a report . . . but my former neighbor's dog got swarmed by hornets. The vet told them to start the benedryl and bring him in. They gave the dog the benedryl that they had on hand which was not just plain benedryl, it had some sort of pain reliever it in too. They had to pump the pooch's stomach :( and he had so many hornets stings that he ended up in the vet ICU for days . . . their total bill when all was said and done . . . $5,000. They said if they had known up front how much it would cost, they would have put him down, but it was always just one more thing, just one more test, just one more day. Everyone thought he was "just about to turn the corner" but the corner didn't come . . . and didn't come . . . until they had an outrageous bill . . . They've still got the pooch (and he's not so friendly).

Step-MIL is arriving in approximately 5 hours . . . kids still don't know about the probable move and we don't plan on telling them until their house sells. Their real estate agent thinks it'll take about two months. Not sure how we're going to explain Grandma's visit, though.

ranger Enthusiast

Awful dog story. $5,000.00! Must be some dog! Glad your dogs good.

This sues got the blues today. Feels like I've been glutened, but couldn't have. This two shall pass?

I love lasagna, but why is it always spelled wrong? I never misspell worlds.

Feeling slightly disjointed today.

Dingo-esque is when you look at the piece and can't quite figure it out, but it looks perfect. And you can wear it with flip-flops bottom painted red. Any of you ladies wear old-lady underwear yet? Some say, once you get into the comfort zone clothes, you can never get out. Something like the Hotel California. When I think about it, there are old-men unders, too.

Just ever-so-slightly before your time Sue . . . My father-in-law and his wife (step-MIL) visited us from Maryland 2 1/2 weeks ago. For fun, we went through the model of a nearby subdivision (within walking distance to our house). MIL fell in love and now they are planning to move . . . seem to be in a great big hurry. But it's all good . . . they're good folks. Me hubby is JUST like his dad . . . I know exactly what to expect as me hubby ages!!

Um.....not 5 hours, 13 minutes and 48 seconds? MIL's arrival is like that 'round here.......... . . . .. <_<

There's never any explaining here......the kids just see my face and demeanor, and yell, "Whup! Must be a holiday around the corner....Gran's comin'".......

No thongs here--just can't understand how people can wear those when we spend the majority of our time picking wedgies....I enjoy my bikinis....

Nope, no thong here either. I don't think I'd find them comfortable......I dunno, could be surprised, though. I really like full coverage betwix me and me clothes :P

My only exposure to thongs was reading about Monica Lewinsky; didn't even know they existed afore then :o Somehow don't fancy the idea....although me husband does smoke cigars

Peoter no thong? We all live in an equal world so you do know it is acceptable ;)

Do you think they make thongs in Yeti sizes.....

And this may sound judgemental but thongs aren't for everyone.....so ladies of size shouldnt wear them and allow them to show...I know Fredericks of Hollywood has a plus-size department but that dont make it right!

ranger Enthusiast

Was Bill smoking the cigar?

I have to go to the grocery. Was going to have frozen pizza, but provalone got moldy! Now, I don't want pizza. What to do? Too late to take something out of the freezer - sick of cooking! Sick of eating. Bad day. I need a good joke. Maybe we'll have eggs. Then "The yolks on me"". What to have, what to have not.

well, I didn't check the link but, ONE lasagna noodle would be called lasagnA (feminine singular)

more than one, as in teh dish itself, should be feminine plural, ending in E - lasagnE.

Raising you vitamin D will increase absorption of calcium automatically without supplementation of calcium.  A high PTH can be caused by low D causing poor calcium absorption; not insuffient calcium intake.  With low D your body is not absorbing calcium from your food so it steals it from your bones.  Heart has priority over bone. I've been taking 10,000 IU D3 a day since 2015.  My doctor says to continue. To fix my lactose intolerance, lots of lactobacillus from yogurts, and brine fermented pickles and saurkraut and olives.  We lose much of our ability to make lactase endogenosly with maturity but a healthy colony of lactobacillus in our gut excretes lactase in exchange for room and board. The milk protein in grass fed milk does not bother me. It tastes like the milk I grew up on.  If I drink commercial milk I get heartburn at night. Some experts estimate that 90% of us do not eat Adequite Intake of choline.  Beef and eggs are the principle source. Iodine deficiency is a growing concern.  I take 600 mcg a day of Liquid Iodine.  It and NAC have accelerated my healing all over.  Virtually blind in my right eye after starting antihypertensive medication and vision is slowly coming back.  I had to cut out starches because they drove my glucose up into the 200+ range.  I replaced them with Red Bull for the glucose intake with the vitamins, minerals and Taurine needed to process through the mitochodria Krebs Cycle to create ATP.  Went from A1c 13 down to 7.9.  Work in progress. Also take B1,B2,B3,B5,B6. Liquid Iodine, Phosphatidyl Choline, Q10, Selenium, D and DHEA.     Choline supplemented as phosphatidylcholine decreases fasting and postmethionine-loading plasma homocysteine concentrations in healthy men +

@catnapt, Wheat germ has very little gluten in it.  Gluten is  the carbohydrate storage protein, what the flour is made from, the fluffy part.  Just like with beans, there's the baby plant that will germinate  ("germ"-inate) if sprouted, and the bean part is the carbohydrate storage protein.   Wheat germ is the baby plant inside a kernel of wheat, and bran is the protective covering of the kernel.   Little to no gluten there.   Large amounts of lectins are in wheat germ and can cause digestive upsets, but not enough Gluten to provoke antibody production in the small intestines. Luckily you still have time to do a proper gluten challenge (10 grams of gluten per day for a minimum of two weeks) before your next appointment when you can be retested.

Hello, @asaT, I'm curious to know whether you are taking other B vitamins like Thiamine B1 and Niacin B3.  Malabsorption in Celiac disease affects all the water soluble B vitamins and Vitamin C.  Thiamine and Niacin are required to produce energy for all the homocysteine lowering reactions provided by Folate, Cobalamine and Pyridoxine.   Weight gain with a voracious appetite is something I experienced while malnourished.  It's symptomatic of Thiamine B1 deficiency.   Conversely, some people with thiamine deficiency lose their appetite altogether, and suffer from anorexia.  At different periods on my lifelong journey, I suffered this, too.   When the body doesn't have sufficient thiamine to turn food, especially carbohydrates, into energy (for growth and repair), the body rations what little thiamine it has available, and turns the carbs into fat, and stores it mostly in the abdomen.  Consuming a high carbohydrate diet requires additional thiamine to process the carbs into energy.  Simple carbohydrates (sugar, white rice, etc.) don't contain thiamine, so the body easily depletes its stores of Thiamine processing the carbs into fat.  The digestive system communicates with the brain to keep eating in order to consume more thiamine and other nutrients it's not absorbing.   One can have a subclinical thiamine insufficiency for years.  A twenty percent increase in dietary thiamine causes an eighty percent increase in brain function, so the symptoms can wax and wane mysteriously.  Symptoms of Thiamine insufficiency include stunted growth, chronic fatigue, and Gastrointestinal Beriberi (diarrhea, abdominal pain), heart attack, Alzheimer's, stroke, and cancer.   Thiamine improves bone turnover.  Thiamine insufficiency can also affect the thyroid.  The thyroid is important in bone metabolism.  The thyroid also influences hormones, like estrogen and progesterone, and menopause.  Vitamin D, at optimal levels, can act as a hormone and can influence the thyroid, as well as being important to bone health, and regulating the immune system.  Vitamin A is important to bone health, too, and is necessary for intestinal health, as well.   I don't do dairy because I react to Casein, the protein in dairy that resembles gluten and causes a reaction the same as if I'd been exposed to gluten, including high tTg IgA.  I found adding mineral water containing calcium and other minerals helpful in increasing my calcium intake.   Malabsorption of Celiac affects all the vitamins and minerals.  I do hope you'll talk to your doctor and dietician about supplementing all eight B vitamins and the four fat soluble vitamins because they all work together interconnectedly.

Hi Jane: You may want to try the D3 I now take. I have reactions to fillers and many additives. Sports Research, it is based in the USA and I have had no bad reactions with this brand. The D3 does have coconut oil but it is non GMO, it is Gluten free, Soy free, Soybean free and Safflower oil free.  I have a cupboard full of supplements that did not agree with me -  I just keep trying and have finally settled on Sports Research. I take NAKA Women's Multi full spectrum, and have not felt sick after taking 2 capsules per day -  it is a Canadian company. I buy both from Amazon. I wish you well in your searching, I know how discouraging it all is. Florence.

highly unlikely  NOTHING and I mean NOTHING else has ever caused me these kinds of symptoms I have no problem with dates, they are a large part of my diet In fact, I eat a very high fiber, very high vegetable and bean diet and have for many years now. It's considered a whole foods plant based or plant forward diet (I do now eat some lean ground turkey but not much) I was off dairy for years but recently had to add back plain yogurt to meet calcium needs that I am not allowed to get from supplements (I have not had any problem with the yogurt)   I eat almost no processed foods. I don't eat out. almost everything I eat, I cook myself I am going to keep a food diary but to be honest, I already know that it's wheat products and also barley that are the problem, which is why I gradually stopped eating and buying them. When I was eating them, like back in early 2024, when I was in the middle of moving and ate out (always had bread or toast or rolls or a sub or pizza) I felt terrible but at that time was so busy and exhausted that I never stopped to think it was the food. Once I was in my new place, I continued to have bread from time to time and had such horrible joint pain that I was preparing for 2 total knee replacements as well as one hip! The surgery could not go forward as I was (and still am) actively losing calcium from my bones. That problem has yet to be properly diagnosed and treated   anyway over time I realized that I felt better when I stopped eating bread. Back at least 3 yrs ago I noticed that regular pasta made me sick so I switched to brown rice pasta and even though it costs a lot more, I really like it.   so gradually I just stopped buying and eating foods with gluten. I stopped getting raisin bran when I was constipated because it made me bloated and it didn't help the constipation any more (used to be a sure bet that it would in the past)   I made cookies and brownies using beans and rolled oats and dates and tahini and I LOVE them and have zero issues eating those I eat 1 or more cans of beans per day easily can eat a pound of broccoli - no problem! Brussels sprouts the same thing.   so yeh it's bread and related foods that are clearly the problem  there is zero doubt in my mind
