You Biscuit eating Bulldog!

This may become my whole family's favorite thing to call someone. Might use it & "fructify" Sunday night with FIL. Not sure me boys will think being called "a bulldog" is an insult. We :wub: love :wub: all dogs.

Where is everyone? Got hot dates? Hub & Boy Scout (14yr) are camping, 17 yr old is eating greasy junk & seeing very scary movie with friends.

Now, the next piece of administrative business we must attend to is getting you onto facebook. Um....unless you are already there.. . . .. . . . .then, we simply must all become your friends so that we have a parallel virtual community from which to jump back and forth, hither and yon. . . . ....:rolleyes:

I tried 3 months ago in a brain fog to make a facebook account. I put the wrong email & promptly forgot the password. Teens were so disgusted with me, they said I should not be on facebook. Might cause the site to collapse. Also, not sure I want people from my "sordid" past to find me. Perhaps, if I spelled my name that way...Maybe I will try again.

Ok. I think I now have a facebook account. I wrote down the password. What happens next? Is there a sadistic initiation rite? Must I get a tatoo? Wear a weird orange toga - wait I think that's the Hari Krishnas.

In the "small world" dept--we just had an old friend/colleague of Mark's who happens to be in town over for dinner. He lives in Seattle and his wife is doing a bike marathon tomorrow in the same town where Jess lives.

Good Sunday morning, Pholks!

Well, at 3:15 pm Eastern Standard time, the BIG hockey game begins -- the gold medal match-up to beat em' all, Canada vs USA... . ....:):).. . . . .tickets for two at GM Place are going for $1600.00, and on-line sellers are asking upwards of $10,000.00 a ticket. :blink: What kind of madness is DIS??

In the "small world" dept--we just had an old friend/colleague of Mark's who happens to be in town over for dinner. He lives in Seattle and his wife is doing a bike marathon tomorrow in the same town where Jess lives.

About 2 miles of the route is my weekend walking route. I'll wave to everyone as they pass, so you can tell Mark's buddy that I said 'hi' to his wife. :D

That was the funnest walk I've had in a very long time. Recumbent bikes, two person bikes, one guy on a unicycle, somebody with a baby trailer.

Patti, have Mark ask his buddy if his wife was the one with shiny streamers attached to her helmet and a stereo blasting 'men without hats'.

Sort of OT, but I piled a bunch of stinky workout clothes on the bathroom floor to await the washer. I just went in to collect them up and Lylie-bear is happily stretched out on them. :wub: :wub:

      Not necessarily. The "Gluten Free" label means not more than 20ppm of gluten in the product which is often not enough for super sensitive celiacs. You would need to be looking for "Certified Gluten Free" (GFCO endorsed) which means no more than 10ppm of gluten. Having said that, "Gluten Free" doesn't mean that there will necessarily be more gluten than "Certified...

      I think it is wise to seek a second opinion from a GI doc and to go on a gluten free diet in the meantime. The GI doc may look at all the evidence, including the biopsy report, and conclude you don't need anything else to reach a dx of celiac disease and so, there would be no need for a gluten challenge. But if the GI doc does want to do more testing, you...

I wish I had known of this at the time of her diagnosis, life would have been much easier.  I hope you are able to figure out.

I almost said no because she made it in her kitchen but I thought it would be ok.  Next day and for a few after his behavior is awful. Hitting, rude, disrespectful. Mainly he kept saying his legs were shaking. Is this a gluten exposure symptom that anyone else gets? Also the bad behavior?

But if the GI doc does want to do more testing, you can worry about the gluten challenge at that time. But between now and the time of the appointment, if your symptoms improve on a gluten free diet, that is more evidence. Just keep in mind that if a gluten challenge is called for, the bare minimum challenge length is two weeks of the daily consumption of at least 10g of gluten, which is about the amount found in 4-6 slices of wheat bread. But, I would count on giving it four weeks to be sure.
