Rachelle feels all alone here, she's wondering where everyone is at! :P

Rachelle cannae breathe now. Her current patient and the patient's husband must smoke 10 pack of cig's a day-each  -and Rachelle is so allergic that she is sneezing, coughing and sucking back the snot. She had to come out of the room for a few minutes to take a breath. Rachelle needs to go outside and breathe in some of that Portland rainy air she loves so much! ;)

Does Patti's heart good to see so many psyllie posts--missed ya'll yesterday. Where the French Toast was everybody????? :o

Ray-schell....that sounds gross!! <vomitphace>

Jan-it's back--wif mittens! Patti is very happy to see her and is a wee bit jealous of said mitties :P

Patti must go and throw in another load of laundry......

Hee! Remember the Seinfield episode with Jimmy, the guy who spoke in the third person? "Jimmy's got a compound fracture!!!"

Shoot, Rachelle missed yesterday, but it sounded like so much fun, that she's having a 3rd person day even if it's by herself!! And she's having a great time

kareng Grand Master

Karen feels bad for R that she is hacking, wheezing & goobering. Karen hopes she is able to get out & breathe some good humid air to clear out her passages.

Karen wishes to thank  Patti for reminding Karen that she needs to put in some laundry.

Puppy is going to take Karen out for a walk soon as it is sunny & 40.

Lisa is at school work and only has a second, but Lisa wanted to say that Rayshell is lucky she is not here with pubescent body odor mixed in with a truckload of Axe cologne :greenpukeyface;

Rachelle is a truly talented treadmill artist (pronounce ar teese) . Karen can barely stay on the treadmill forwards.

Neroli flunked treadmill in gym class (oh, wait, they didn't have treadmills when she was in gym class  )

Ok, any of yooz know owt about hearts???

Terry had his angiogram today - no furred up arteries (Nicola is relieved)

BUT the doc said his heart is 'weakened' and he needs to find out why

Now he's got to have an MRI of his heart

WHAaaaT the French toast?!?!?!

Patti never used a treadmill until she was an adult. Her gym classes were decidedly old school....then again, so is she

Nik--I don't know what could be causing Tel's heart to be not as strong as they would like :( ....please let us know when he has the MRI. I did have some cardiac testing a few years ago, but nothing beyond the echo stress test.

Neroli knows very little about the functioning of hearts and is distressed that Terry's is "weakened". Neroli doesn't think French Toast is that good for hearts :o

Neroli is going to find out more about hearts in the next 24 hours or so when she wears a Holter monitor to see if it can catch her heart doing the loopity loops  because no one else seems able to catch it except Neroli

Good luck wif it, Shroomie. Patti had this before the afore mentioned testing--nuttin to it except you can nae shower until it's removed. <_<

Em is thinking about Tel's heart. . . ....... . . ...how long until the MRI, Nik? In Emily's province, the wait times are significantly down - - a couple of weeks for a non-emergency. Hope it is the same in the UK - - Em hopes it is SOON! Like, tomorrow. Who needs to be waiting?

Um.. . ...dunno if'n Emily can keep up this Third-Person-Talk until the end of the day.. . . ...it sounds mighty strange. . . .. .....unsettling, even. . .. .....like I (whoops, Emily) is talking about someone else.... . ... .She's getting lost in her own discourse. . . ..... . .. . . .....

On the rare occasion that DH and Em are signed up on two treadmills that are side-by-side at their gym, they start off together, same speed, holding hands, then speed up until they can comfortably skip for a couple of minutes. It is a GREAT heart-rate boosting interval... . . . ...... . . . but man, never thought of roller blades. . . . .. . ....wonder if the Y would allow them to try this?. . . . . ...... . ..

Did Patti's Holter monitor "catch" anything? Neroli is afraid that this is a waste of time and that the loopity loops will remain as elusive as ever.

Patti wore it for 24 hours, and absolutely nothing showed up. Nada.

Jess is highly amused at reading the way everyone writes, although not so amused at Tel's heart. Jess hopes it all get sorted soon.

Patti makes Beverly <SNORT>. Beverly watched this rerun of Seinfeld just last night and thinks that is ironic.

Lisa is at school work and only has a second, but Lisa wanted to say that Rayshell is lucky she is not here with pubescent body odor mixed in with a truckload of Axe cologne :greenpukeyface;

Beverly feels VERY bad for Leesa as she has been there far too many times before. Beverly wants Leesa to know that college freshman wear Axe too <stinkyvomitface>. In Beverly's day, all the rage was Ralph Lauren Polo for men (1985)and her entire dorm smelled like it. Beverly can't even think about the small of that stuff wiithout throwing up a little in her own mouth.

Terry had his angiogram today - no furred up arteries (Nicola is relieved)

Beverly agrees with "WTFT?". Beverly's husband had heart MRI, angiosumphin, heart endoscopy etc etc etc after his stroke and they found nutting. Beverly's hubby must wear heart monitor next week too. Beverly wants them to find out what is wrong with Tel toot sweet! His heart is WEAKENED? Beverly will do research to find out what this means.

Speaking of loops, one of Beverly's students wrote a very funny memoir whose title had Loopy in it about falling in love with a drag queen. Beverly loved it but hopes that Neroli's heart loopity loops do not mean that Neroli will fall in love with a drag queen!

Did you know that Rachelle is a cardiovascular technologist? She actually graduated with a degree in cardiovascular science  Anywho, she thinks an MRI for Tel is a good idea. Rachelle wants to know what his "Ejection Fraction" is. This is a very important number. Rachelle thinks it is very good that his corn's look good, but must discover what is weakening his heart and how "weak" it is....

Rachelle also thinks Neroli needs to wear a King-of-Hearts monitor. This is a monitor that is worn for up to a month and can catch more sporadic symptoms. Rachelle thinks the 24 hour monitors are crap hit and miss.

Rachelle would rather stick her nose into a BO and AXE deodorant armpit than endure what I was just stuck with for 2 hours!! :P Speaking of AXE, did anyone see that "AXE your balls" commercial? Rachelle looked redonculous larfing out loud!

Um.. . . . . . must one refrain from showering whilst wearing this model, as well?. . . . . ...... . . .... . .. . ........

Jan-ette is still waiting for a couple of bucks from Geoss . . . :P

Janet can jump up and down on one foot, walk backwards, and crawl on her treadmill because Janet's treadmill is never turned on. Janet uses her treadmill to "hold" things.

Nicola . . . WHAT the FRENCH TOAST?? is right!!! Keep Janet, et al in the loop . . . hope everything goes OK!!

Darn210 Enthusiast

Janet started that previous post a couple of hours ago and now sees that many posts have been added.

Janet had a loopity loop in her heart after a hanus phall during water skiing. She phell chest first . . . hard. Her loopity loop felt like the "heart" equivalent to loosing your stomach on a roller coaster. She (of course) didn't go to the doctor right away and by the time she got in, it wasn't doing it too often. EKG showed nothing cuz it didn't happen while she was hooked up. The doc gave it a name that Janet can't remember anymore but basically meant that the electronic wiring was a bit discombobulated by the fall. Not to worry, the heart has many "back-ups" and I was "feeling" the phiring signal from an alternative location or a "late" phiring from the correct location (or something like that :P it's been a while) and it would work itself out and return to normal . . . which it did. So, Janet mentions all this because Janet wants to know if Neroli has been water-skiing lately?

Janet's current phavoUrite commercial:

Hey all  Has anyone on here experienced any of the following on their basic metabolic panel results ? This is what mine is currently flagging : - low sodium  - nearly too low potassium - nearly too low chloride - high CO2  - low anion gap  This is now after being nearly gluten-free for over a year (although I admit I make mistakes sometimes and pay dearly for it). My TtG went down to undetectable. I was so sensitive to so many foods I am now avoiding meat dairy and don’t eat a lot of cooked food in general (raw veggies, white rice, avocados and boiled eggs are my usual go-to meal that doesn’t make me sick). But my abdomen still hurts, i have a range of other symptoms too (headaches that last for days before letting up, fatigue, joint pain, bladder pain). Anyway im hoping my urologist (that’s now the latest specialist I’ve seen on account of the bladder pain and cloudy urine after eating certain foods) will help me with this since he ordered this metabolic panel. But I’m bouncing around a lot between specialists and still not sure what’s wrong. Also went back to the GI doctor and she thought maybe the celiac is just not healed or I have something else going on in the colon and I should have that looked at too. I’m still anemic too BTW. And I’m taking sooo may vitamins daily.

I know I haven't been tested but self diagnosed that by avoiding gluten the past 7 months I feel so much better. I have followed how to eat and avoid gluten and have been good about hidden gluten in products, how to prep gluten-free and flours to use to bake gluten-free and have been very successful. It has been a learning curve but once you get the hang of it and more aware you realize how many places are gluten-free and contamination free practices etc. One thing I have read is how soy is like gluten. How would one know if soy affects you? I have eaten gluten free hershey reeses that say gluten free etc some other snacks say gluten free but contain soy and I dont get sick or soy yogurt no issues. Is there adifference in soys?

Check your multivitamin to see if it contains Thiamine Mononitrate, which is a "shelf-stable" form of thiamine that doesn't break down with exposure to light, heat, and time sitting on a shelf waiting to be sold.  Our bodies have difficulty absorbing and utilizing it.  Only 30% is absorbed and less can be utilized.   There's some question as to how well multivitamins dissolve in the digestive tract.  You can test this at home.  YouTube has instructional videos.   Talk to your nutritionist about adding a B Complex.  The B vitamins are water soluble, so any excess is easily excreted if not needed.  Consider adding additional Thiamine in the forms Benfotiamine or TTFD (tetrahydrofurfuryl disulfide) or thiamine hydrochloride.   Thiamine is needed to help control electrolytes.  Without sufficient thiamine, the kidneys loose electrolytes easily resulting in low sodium and chloride.   We need extra thiamine when we're emotionally stressed, physically ill, and when we exercise regularly, are an athlete, or do physical labor outdoors, and in hot weather.  Your return to activities and athletics may have depleted your thiamine and other B vitamins to a point symptoms are appearing.   The deficiency symptoms of B vitamins overlap, and can be pretty vague, or easily written off as due to something else like being tired after a busy day.  The symptoms you listed are the same as early B vitamin deficiency symptoms, especially Thiamine.  Thiamine deficiency symptoms can appear in as little as three days.  I recognize the symptoms as those I had when I was deficient.  It can get much worse. "My symptoms are as follows: Dizziness, lightheaded, headaches (mostly sinus), jaw/neck pain, severe tinnitus, joint stiffness, fatigue, irregular heart rate, post exercise muscle fatigue and soreness, brain fog, insomnia.  Generally feeling unwell." I took a B 50 Complex twice a day and extra thiamine in the forms Benfotiamine and TTFD.  I currently take the Ex Plus supplement used in this study which shows B vitamins, especially Thiamine B 1, Riboflavin B2, Pyridoxine B 6, and B12 Cobalamine are very helpful.   A functional evaluation of anti-fatigue and exercise performance improvement following vitamin B complex supplementation in healthy humans, a randomized double-blind trial https://pmc.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/articles/PMC10542023/

I am taking a multivitamin which is pretty bolstered with B’s.  Additional Calcium, D3, Magnesium, Vit C, and Ubiquinol.  Started Creapure creatine monohydrate in June for athletic recovery and brain fog.  I have been working with a Nutritionist along side my Dr. since February.  My TTG IGA levels in January were 52.8 and my DGP IGA was >250 (I don’t know the exact number since it was so high).  All my other labs were normal except Sodium and Chloride which were low.  I have more labs coming up in Dec.  I make my own bread, and don’t eat a lot of processed gluten-free snacks.
    • knitty kitty
@Scatterbrain, What supplements are you taking? I agree that the problem may be nutritional deficiencies.  It's worth talking to a dietician or nutritionist about.   Did you get a Marsh score at your diagnosis?  Was your tTg IgA level very high?  These can indicate more intestinal damage and poorer absorption of nutrients.   Are you eating processed gluten free food stuffs?  Have you looked into the Autoimmune Protocol Diet?
