Juyst FYI, I'm male. Tie is loose, but fully dwessed. :D

We need more of those....we just can't seem to keep 'em around.

They usually high-tail it outta here when we start discussing things like singing va-jay-jays with glitter, or non-symmetrical boobage.

Then there's the non-symmetrical issues for the estrogen-challenged as well :P

Ptaughmnus doesn't grace us with his presence as much as he used to :( , but I swear we didn't scare him off! PeOter has been our only guy who has stuck it out.......but it has come with a price......

.....he has shown us his meatballs, his deck, his tool....

Oh, and by the way.......how long is your thumb?

OMG . . . anybody else visualizing Elmer Fudd doing a strip-tease??? . . . Oh my eyes!!!! . . . somebody make it stop!!!

:lol::lol::ph34r:

I'm Baaaaack!

Yay!!!! She's back!!! I tried snow skiing back in my 20's.

Me and snow just don't get along.

By the way, Dada.......we scare off a crap-load of women, too........not intentionally.....not sure why....

Boy, Geoss.....you really outdid yerself this time!

But I think I've got it!

Let's see.....

So it turns out that if you help the bartender at a fundraiser she makes sure that you have plenty to drink, don't remember what she was making, but it had lots of rum. Fortunately, one person decided not to drink so we got rides home.

OK......this is where it gets tricky....

Have to go back tomorrow to help clean up and there's all these fish to deal with, and a huge bucket of Indian food in the fridge. I think I'm one of the more sober ones.

Are you sure about that?

Have to sleep.

I've had quite a bit to drink. Something with rum and coconut and something green.

WHEW!!!!

Stanley & I are off to meet Sven for a 2 hours.....later peeps :-)

Have fun!!!

You're probably back by now. I really should meet this Sven some time. <_<

crap-load?? . . . yep, about the same amount that I picked up out of my back yard yesterday . . . ummm, let me clarify, I picked up crap, not women.

Wow!!! Thanks Lisa!!! I was really struggling this time and I thought I was pretty good at interpreting Inebriated Jessese. Jess was really snockered!! I don't think we'll see her today what wif the hangover, and all the fish and Indian food she has to deal with . . . Now, if you were hungover, don't you think dealing with fish and Indian food would make you toss your cookies?? smiley_emoticons_eazy_kotz_graete.gif (<--- really appropriate dontcha think wif the vomitous fishbone)

Dear GAWWWWD... . . . .... . ....  .. . ........ . .I DO hope Jyessss is slerrrping.. . . ..

And I must say, thank gawd we have an interpreter bar none within our midst - - thank you, Leeeeasargh. Man, you don't just handle the hearing impaired impressively - - you've got the cognitively impaired down, those with temporary motor-skill challenges, the "I-have-to-stop-after-this-one,-honestly" group.... . ...we should elect you as head of Essential Services in Psillyville!:lol:

Imagine what Dada is thinking as he comes upon Jyesss's post? Clearly we need some disclaimers, here: Da, Jyesss is this brilliant numbers woman who works exceedingly hard and, at times, would seem to play hard. B) She comes in to inform us of her evening after cooococonut runm, civkcebs and citroonleloo.... . .....

I WANNA DO THIS! Drink and party until I canna make out the letters on the keyboard, and canna hit them in sequence even if I could see 'em!

Thassit. I am heading out to visit Jyesss this summer, as well.

I'm planning on walking there in lieu of my morning walk. i think i can spend two more hours drinking coffee before i have to leave, but then, I can get a hemp milk latte if i go early... far too difficult a thing to think about right now.

the centerpieces were fish bowls with live fish...what am i supposed to do with those??? the indian food i guess we're having for lunch (i saved the gluten-free stuff :D ) and there's one cake that the rest of the girls can have.

Little by little, Jyesss is coming back. ... . . ....very Flowers-for Algernon-ish, 'tis... . ....

Very funny.. . .. ....I was swimming laps this morning, and suddenly began to wonder if anyone here went routing around outside The Pville, checking to see if Jyesss at any point last night attempted to be the pragmatic, informative source that she so often is in other threads. Might be an idea... .. . ...the disclaimer offered to Dada may be needed elsewhere. Some poor, overwhelmed newly-diagnosed bloke comes on with a million questions, checks back and sees that Jestgar has responded -- Eureka! She is SO full of great advice and information! But then, he reads this:

Looks like a lot to catch up on:

Flat Stanley is visiting

A man was scared off of this site

Little green heads vomiting fish bones

Too many drinks & swimming fish

& that's just the last few posts

Much to catch up on here, too. Food shopping & preparing (2 teen boys). Always laundry. Homework assigned well before break that must be caught up today. Fortunately, with 6-8 inches of snow melting on ground - all out door soccers & Lacrosses are cancelled. So little time..... so many things to do....

ok, so I have a bunch of water bottles filled with what remained of the rum and vodka. Don't understand why no one else wanted them.... And the midori. And about 8 pounds of spinach paneer. and some chicken kabobs. and windows 7. I'm thinking I need to write them another check.

I just got home from cleaning up and now I need to go to my SIL 's birthday party, which I thought started at 5 but really starts at 4 and I need to shower but I'm eating some spinach first (before dinner, but hers won't be as good, since it's not indian).

ah screw it, i'm not bathing. no one will notice.

Jess, where is the BIG version of your dog tree?. . . my eyes are too old to see such small writing.

Egads!!!:blink::P

Almost reminds me of undergrad--used to work in the molecular biology lab for our advisor in the evenings till very late, but sometimes we dipped into the 100% EtoH.

One pretty, brilliant and hardworking gal (now a brilliant physician, but still a very good friend) awoke the next am on the lab bench surrounded by giggling freshman biology students. Maybe one day she'll see this post. I hope not.

You know, this very thought often flashes through me mind, as well..... .. . . . ...I speak here about any number of entertaining characters that file through my life - - relatives, neighboUrs, hired workmen, co-workers, my mom's cleaning lady from childhood - - thinking, "there is no way they will EVER be on this forum". However, a little voice is always whispering, "you DO realize how many new gluten intolerants/celiacs are diagnosed worldwide each DAY? And how many of them surf the web, looking for answers and support? Mr. Chow could ABSOLUTELY be reading along".... .. . ....... . . . ........ . . .

Sorry. That's short for ethanol. 100% being equal to 200 proof Wodka. :D We had to add water to it, so it wouldn't suck all the moisture from our lips. I hope our old advisor isn't reading this either.

I didn't ask a doctor about this actually. I did ask several doctors a long time ago and they told me gluten has nothing to do with hashimoto's. One of them told me to do a gluten challenge to test for celiac, but at the time I was in graduate school so couldn't afford to be even more ill than I was. If you have the symptoms, I really don't advise you to do a gluten challenge. It messed me up mentally and physically for months. At the same time, I benefitted from doing the challenge in the sense that it convinced me that all my symptoms were truly from gluten - even stuff like insomnia! So now I am terrified to eat gluten, whereas before I would have a little once in a while and not notice anything dramatic.
    • Winnie-Ther-Pooh
I am in a similar situation where I can't feasibly do a gluten challenge but have all the symptoms and I have 2 celiac genes. I'm curious if your doctor advised you to eat as if you had a diagnosis or if they were more dismissive about it.
    • Zuma888
Negative, although I had most of the symptoms of celiac disease. I now eat as if I had a diagnosis.

While it's always important to approach internal use of essential oils with caution and ideally under the guidance of a qualified professional, your experience highlights the potential of complementary approaches when traditional medicine falls short. Many in the community are also interested in the intersection of natural wellness and gluten-free living, particularly for managing systemic inflammation and its various symptoms, so sharing your story is valuable. Your observation that it may also be helping with bloating is fascinating, as that could point to an overall reduction in inflammation. Thank you for sharing what is working for you!
