'Tis my fair bro. He was here a couple of weeks ago when we still had snowbanks piled up to our roofs. He's in Toronto, where there is always much less snow. So, when he got here, he yelled something like, "Woo Hooooooooo!!!! Now THAT'S snow!! The winters of my childhood! How I've MISSED THIS!" Gawd....then he ran out and rolled around in the snow like Gus. I grabbed my camera, wanting to capture this mid-life insanity, and when he saw me out there, the snowballs began to fly....

Hey all, just popping in real quick. The kids are being pretty good today, which is a relief. I called the dr. and made an appt. for tomorrow. I told the receptionist that I had a few things going on, and it was going to take more than 5 minutes. So she gave me the last appt. of the day, at 5pm. So I'm going to see if I can get someone to watch the boys for me.

I think I'm going to ask her to step up my dosage on the Effexor. I've been thinking about that for the past few weeks anyway, so...

Patti, we used to be able to get samples of abx, but recently the drug reps haven't been distributing many at all. I don't know why. I do get the Effexor from her by sample packs... one reason why I hesitated to ask to step up that dosage. But I'm going to ask. It's hideously expensive if you buy it out of pocket.

Right now, I'm just trying to concentrate on daily things, dinner, homework, baths, one thing at a time. And just focus on each thing... not let my brain get going on anything outside of that.

For now, that's working.

Oh, boy....I was thinkin' about the lack of Silly and prevalence of Sad 'round here, so I called my dad and asked him to tell me something to throw in for comic relief. He told me to tell you all about the light switch in their living room. It doesn't do anything, and they've never bothered to ask the maintenance guys or cleaners about it. Every so often my dad would flick it on and off just to check. Yesterday, he got a call from a woman in Madagascar. She said, "Cut it out".

Sarah, one thing at a time is a good approach. Hang in there!

Susie, a dvr (if it's the dvr i am thinking of) is a digital video recorder.

We had a switch like that in the house we just sold--it was in the master bedroom and the day of the home inspection, the inspector, the agent and the guy buying the house asked me what it was for and I told them I had no idea. We lived there 7 1/2 years :ph34r:

This phenomenon is happening in new houses too, I have switches all over that don't turn anything on or off :blink:

Reminds me of that commercial with the husband flipping on and off and on and off a switch, saying, "honey, what does this go to?"........meanwhile several houses down the street a garage door is opening and closing and opening and closing with every flip of that switch :lol::lol:

Janet all I have to say to you is WOW!!!!!

Morning Sillies--Welcome to Friday!!!! I am so glad it is finally here!!!!

Another nice sunny warm day planned...I am stuck at work, but it could be could and ugly too, this is much better.

I did wear my sundress today but even though it goes to my knees...if I bend over or stoop down and when I sit it gets MUCH shorter....so I brought a spare pair of clothes to work so I can make do if need be.....

Ta-Ta Sillies off to do some work!

Well! Today Sarah's got her crucial appointment with the doc. So glad you're going, Sarah--just let it all pour out. Help shall come! :lol:

Today is, what--day 2 of the new Smoke-free Ptaoughmn? How are you feeling? Probably not very silly maintenant.....but YOU CAN DO THIS..........! :)

Today Alan hits The Magic Kingdom, n'est-ce pas? So magical....hope he meets up with our yeti at the parade (we all know how well the yeti commandeers a parade when he gets the chance....)....

So, a normal day here. Gonna go out back and figger where we're planting a new tree we'll be buying, to replace....(now, I have NOT brought this up at all because I choke up whenever I do...our HUGE, eighty year-old horse chestnut tree is officially dying--my kids have climbed it, had a house up in its grand, twisted branches, the tire swing still hangs resolutely from a limb that always seems to be waving at me in the kitchen...). :( Each morning lately I have gone out and put my arms around this majestic thing, feeling, squeezing for its life. But it must come down. :(

And...we will bury Ol' Aunt Rose under the new one. She would like this. Much better than being in with our running shoes and work boots..... <_<

Well, at our house, we sit up in bed and say "Holy Crap, It's an Earthquake!!"

It wasn't strong enough to do any damage (we were about 150 miles away and it was about 5.4 at the epicenter). Just strong enough to wake everyone up, meet in the hallway to discuss it, watch about 15 minutes of the news to verify it was an earthquake (along with how big and epicenter locale) and then go back to bed.

Time to go to work.

Goodness gracious Janet :o Good think it was a small one!

Emily--have fun planting your new tree....sorry 'bout the ol' chestnut. We planned to plant 2 new trees on the side of our yard this weekend, but we have to wait till next weekend. There's a law, apparently, that we have to call to have all the utilities come out and mark anything running underground.

Turns out, since I called yesterday, there's a waiting period of 3 business days and even then it has to be done by May 1. What a production <_<

      Many people with celiac disease, especially those who are in the 0-2 year range of their recovery, have additional food intolerance issues which could be temporary. To figure this out you may need to keep a food diary and do an elimination diet over a few months. Some common food intolerance issues are dairy/casein, eggs, corn, oats, and soy. The good news is that after your gut heals (for most people who are 100% gluten-free this will take several months to two years) you may be able to slowly add some these items back into your diet after the damaged villi heal.       It's strange to see two very different results in what appears to be a single blood test--one is positive and one is negative for a celiac disease test. Are these results separated by time?
