Need Places To Buy Gluten Free Items Any Ideas?

hey i live in st thomas ont near london i was just wondering if anyone knows any places i could get rice bread or anything like that thanks

Aaron, Im a three hour drive north of you, so don't really know what is specifically in London. What I do know, though, is that really the only places you can get things like good rice bread are usually health food stores.

This is a link to a site with the addresses of two health food stores in London. The Canada 411 site is down right now, I tried to check there. You might want to check it tomorrow.

I couldn't find anything in St. Thomas, again, because Canada 411 is down.

Also, if you have a Garden IGA, or a Sobeys, they carry Tinkyada pasta (cheaper than in the health food store), and may even have gluten-free breads. They do have Bob's Red Mill products as well, which will enable you to bake your own stuff. Just make sure you only buy their gluten-free products (they produce food that isn't gluten-free as well). And they have cookies. Check out their health food section, or ask a manager or one of the people who work in the bakery department.

The health food store will also have all kinds of mixes, and gluten-free flours, and probably gluten-free cookbooks.

Aaron, do you have a Loblaws Superstore? They usually have gluten-free items. Also, the Great Canadian Superstore near me has a huge selection of gluten-free items..... do you have one of those in your area?

Be sure to look in the frozen sections of your supermarket - the Kinnickinnick breads and stuff are always in the frozen section......

try the good ol' world wide web....amazon .com usually has some good deals :) good luck!

also, don't forget about regular grocery store items (rice, meat, veggies, etc...) that are naturally gluten-free!!!

yeah this probably wont help you but in texas u can go to Whole Foods or amazon .com...if u go on google and look up gluten free recipes u can also find good food.belive me my mom has the hardest time finding good food for me and my little sister to eat!!!

SUPER TARGET .... They have some stuff. ( But there in again ... I am in fla. ) but I have found that the Super Targets have diffent things that whole foods also have.

      Of course my son is on a 100% gluten free diet. I wish his symptoms were not debilitating as there are right now. He cannot work, even when a miniscule of cross contamination occurs.       Have you tried AN-PEP enzymes, for example, GlutenX (who is a sponsor here)? A lot of research has shown that it can break down small amounts of gluten in the stomach, before it reaches the intestines. It might be a better approach than risking nicotine addiction, and the questionable research around this. I also hope that he’s trying to be 100% Gluten-F...

I don't know if it's from the lactose in the yogurt or if I'm getting an ulcer  This condition can make you question yourself quite a bit.  Then if you are not sure the anxiety comes 😞 Does any of these symptoms sound familiar to anyone? The neuropathy is quite intense.  What do you eat or drink after this happens  Open to suggestions  Thank you

      Of course my son is on a 100% gluten free diet.  I wish his symptoms were not debilitating as there are right now.  He cannot work, even when a miniscule of cross contamination occurs.  It's not just GI distress, but intense fatigue, brain fog, depression, anxiety, insomnia, etc.  It's literally neurological inflammation.  Not to be taken lightly here.  We have sought out many other possible ways to cope during this window of time (8 months!!!!)  without success.   AN-PEP does not help and seems like studies on this are not well researched.  So, we are trying this out because research shows some promising results.  And, all participants showed no cravings afterwards, no signs of addiction.  The patch is different than the oral route such as smoking, vaping, gum, pouch, etc.
