I still don´t know for sure if I have the dicease or not but I´d started the diet a month ago. I bought a lot of things from Glutino and I can hardly see the difference. I eat pasta, crackers, lemon flavoured wafers and toasts. If you don´t try this yet I recommend you do.

Good Luck

Vanesa

Does Glutino make muffins (blueberry, lemon poppy, any kind)?

I LOVE GFBreadbasket.com's bread (great texture and flavor) so I decided to order their rather expensive Coffee Cake muffins this last order. THEY ARE AWFUL. They are extremely granular, like eating coarse sand and they made me gag - the flavor isn't too great either. I may try to toast and put butter on them, but that makes them a difficult commuter's breakfast!

I'm so frustrated with gluten-free substitutes for cookies, cakes, etc, they ALL have tasted awful to me or fall apart or make me gag. (Except GFBreadbasket Mock Rye and Cinn/Raisin, and Brown Derby breads).

I have been pretty disappointed with Ener-G too, other than their sesame pretzels.

Am I the only one that finds that no ONE brand has multiple products that are good, rather it's one product from one place and another product from another? (This makes for huge shipping costs since I have NO gluten-free products in any local stores at all - Fredericksburg VA).

I know I'm whining. But I'm so hungry for the real stuff (even after almost a year of gluten-free I CRAVE the real thing).

OH BY THE WAY: The SLIM FAST "Easy-to-Digest" Lactose-Free/Gluten Free shakes are available at local Walmarts.

THEY ARE GOOD and no reaction (had 4 so far).

Ok..I am so excited about the ice cream cones...I can not find them. Can you tell me where you purchased yours??

Thanks,

Dallas

I know that they have a muffin mix but i haven't tried it personally however all their other baked goods like pancakes, cake, and even their bread are good to me. I think that the mix it just for plain muffins and you add your own blueberries. chocolate chips, or whatever you want but i am not sure. Hope that helps.

I like Glutino pretzels, but all the other "treats" that I've tried I've really not liked.

For muffins and cupcake type things, as well as donuts... I'll opt for the Kinnikinnick brand. =)

Glutino stuff, for the most part, is awesome. The only problem I've run into is stale treats. It seems like at my grocery store the gluten free stuff sits too long and I get stale stuff here and there. Now i mostly mail order my treats and I don't have a problem. I totally agree on the Glutino stuff though.

Anyone tired the Break Bars? They are AMAZING they taste like a kit Kat! Here in Australia Glutino is not that common but I am lucky enough to have found a store that stocks a few of there products. Have any of u tired there savoury biscuits, they come in a about a set of 3/4.

Franceen- Unfortunately it is a rare thing to find a product that does taste like real thing, even the alot of the very nice gluten-free things have a slight taste, However I know that here things have have def improved over the last 13 yrs! even some of things that are not very nice now are 10X better than before- Heres hoping they get some more products out soon that taste like the real things!

Glutino does have some great things... I love the pretzels and the Break Bar

as for the pp who said they've been dissappointed with EnerG have you tried them recently? They've recently changed a lot of their recipes and they taste sooooooo much better! I had been dissapointed with them in the past and had almost sworn them off for being yucky but I'm glad I gave them another shot. Their Tapioca hot dog and hamburger buns are awesome toasted, the english muffins are great either as a sandwich bread (ie toasted with tuna salad and cheese YUMMMY) or toasted with butter and jelly... Yesterday for the first time I tried their donut holes, my daughter and I are soooooo happy! They are plain cake donut holes but you can roll them in powdered sugar or dip them in melted chocolate or roll in melted butter then cinnamon sugar! OMG! We also really like their Vanilla cookies.

I think I ordered the Glutino ice cream cones from the web. It probably came from shopbydiet.com. The cones are fragile and there is some breakage. But it is minimal and worth it for the chance to have an ice cream cone.

Last night I tried the Spinach and Feta pizza from Glutino and it was amazing. It was so yummy I had to let everyone know.

My 9yo niece (who's a VERY picky eater) visited recently and she liked the Glutino pizza's better than the "regular" ones :)

I feel they way you do about the pretzels, but I have to go to health food stores for them but I love snacking on them

THey have spinich and feta pizza??!! I'll have to request that one, I've only been able to find the cheese. I was just getting ready to add that to the list of yummy Glutino stuff. Its not quite regular pizza but more like the regular frozen kind and its the first I"ve found that is palatable.

Guest nini

Oh the spinach and feta pizza is DA BESTEST!!! I love it!

Sweetfudge Community Regular

i also am a fan of the spinach and feta pizza. i put some tomatoes and some canadian bacon on top of mine before baking. only one note, be careful w/ the crust, it burns easily. i watch mine the last few minutes so it doesn't. they have the pizzas at my health food store, which is so nice :)

i looked on amazon .com...they have about 25 glutino products (do a search for "gluten free") so that is one way i would recommend getting ahold of the products. shopbydiet.com has about the same.

if you can't get ahold of the pizza, i would suggest trying the Gluten Free Pantry's pizza and french bread mix, and making your own. that is the best pizza dough mix i have tried. also, look through the forums to find people's favorite gluten-free foods, that way you can get a feel for what is good to buy. i like to do that before trying something.

good luck!

I am on day 13 of eating gluten  and have decided to have the celiac panel done tomorrow instead of Wed. (and instead of extending it a few more weeks) because I am SO incredibly sick. I have almost no appetite and am not able to consume the required daily intake of calcium to try to keep up with the loss of calcium from the high parathyroid hormone and/or the renal calcium leak.    I have spent the past 15 years working hard to improve my health. I lost 50lbs, got off handfuls of medications, lowered my cholesterol to enviable levels, and in spite of having end stage osteoarthritis in both knees, with a good diet and keeping active I have NO pain in those joints- til now.  Almost all of my joints hurt now I feel like someone has repeatedly punched me all over my torso- even my ribs hurt- I have nausea, gas, bloating, headache, mood swings, irritability, horrid flatulence (afraid to leave the house or be in any enclosed spaces with other people- the smell would knock them off their feet) I was so sure that I wanted a firm diagnosis but now- I'm asking myself is THIS worth it? esp over the past 2 yrs I have been feeling better and better the more I adjusted my diet to exclude highly refined grains and processed foods. I didn't purposely avoid gluten, but it just happened that not eating gluten has made me feel better.   I don't know what I would have to gain by getting a definitive diagnosis. I think possibly the only advantage to a DX would be that I could insist on gluten-free foods in settings where I am unable to have access to foods of my choice (hospital, rehab, nursing home)  and maybe having a medical reason to see a dietician?   please let me know if it's reasonable to just go back to the way I was eating.  Actually I do plan to buy certified gluten-free oats as that is the only grain I consume (and really like) so there will be some minor tweaks I hope and pray that I heal quickly from any possible damage that may have been done from 13 days of eating gluten.

So I've been dealing with chasing the name celiac because of my body actively dealing with health issues related to celiac though not eating. Diagnosed in 1994 before foods eliminated from diet. After 25 years with former pcp I googled celiac specialist and she wasn't because of what ive been through. I wanted my results to be sent to my pcp but nothing was sent.I have email copies.I did one zoom call with np with team member from celiac specialist in Nov 2025 and she asked me why I wanted to know why I wanted the celiac diagnosis so bad, I sad I don't, its my life and I need revalidaion because its affecting me.KB stated well it shows you are.I asked then why am I going through all this.I was labeled unruly. Its been a celiac circus and medical has caused anxiety and depression no fault to my own other than being born with bad genetics. How is it legal for medical professionals to gaslight patients that are with an ailment coming for help to be downplayed? KB put in my records that she personally spent 120min with me and I think the zoom call was discussing celiac 80 min ONE ZOOM call.SHE is responsible for not explaining to my pcp about celiac disease am I right?

I've noticed with my age and menopause my smell for bread gives me severe migraines and I know this. Its alarming that there are all these fabulous bakeries, sandwich places pizza places popping up in confined areas.Just the other day I suffered a migraine after I got done with my mri when a guy with a brown paper bag walk in front of me and I smelled that fresh dough bread with tuna, I got a migraine when we got home.I hate im that sensitive. Its alarming these places are popping up in airports as well.I just saw on the news that the airport ( can't remember which  one)was going to have a fabulous smelling bakery. Not for sensitive celiacs, this can alter their health during their travel which isn't safe. More awareness really NEEDS to be promoted, so much more than just a food consumption!FYI I did write to Stanislaus to let them know my thoughts on the medical field not knowing much about celiac and how it affects one.I also did message my gi the 3 specialist names that was given on previous post on questions on celiac. I pray its not on deaf door.
