I have been using Nutrogena for about a year and I just don't like it! I look fine for a couple of hours then it just looks greasy and gross.

What liquid foundation that is in a drug store (aka cheap) do you use? I really could use some suggestions, I look like crap

I have been doing research for gluten free foundations and concealer. Given the leisons that I have had for years I need make up to leave the house. I have felt I have been in a vicious cyle. I could never go long enough without make up to see if it was a problem.

I CAN"T TAKE IT ANYMORE!

Today I found that Bobbi Brown carries gluten-free products.

I have an appointment at the Boston Store (aka Macy's aka Marshall Field's) Friday.

You can stop in and feel confident with 7 products I know of so far. I should be getting a full list soon.

All over Bronzer, Corrector, Creamy concealer, x-spf-25 moisture balm, foundation stick

oil free even finish compact & foundation.

I hope this works!

Hi Hez,

I don't know if this is something that you'd be interested in because it's not a liquid, but I was at CVS the other day and saw that Neutrogena now has a mineral makeup. It's the minerals and brush all in one.

If the liquid is turning greasy on you, the minerals might work out better. I use Bare Escentuals, and love how natural the minerals look on my skin.

I honestly don't know the gluten status--I just noticed it while browsing. :)

I use Estee Lauder Equalizer. It's not a drug store foundation, and it's not cheap, but it lasts a very long time and looks good, never greasy, always natural.

Estee Lauder is a great foundation--I used it for years before switching to BE.

No one uses cheap foundatin anymore? Bummer. I might have to try bare essentuals. I just hate spending the money on make up. I would rather use it for gluten-free treats :P

I was so frustrated with the makeup thing I was beginning to think I'd have to go without. After noticing that a lot of people here were using Bare Minerals I checked it out, but it was just too expensive and "glowy" for me. Then I found Everyday Minerals and I AM LOVING IT!!! Mind you, I've never been one to get excited about makeup and am not particularly good with it, but now I actually enjoy putting it on and am having fun experimenting! You can get a FREE sample kit and it comes in a variety of formulas (matte, semi-matte, intensive, original glo) depending on your preference and skin type. Everything in their line is gluten free but the Finishing Dust (equivalent to BM veil) is made of zea mays (corn) although they will be introducing a corn-free version in the next week or so. Check them out at www.everydayminerals.com and save some of that money for gluten-free goodies :D

I tried that one...it doesn't cover any better than a pressed powder would. I should have know I needed to just buy the Bare Escentuals, lol. Somehow that $10 price tag looked a little more appealing to me :D .

I am trying out the Neutrogena Health Skiny Enhancer. I know that is what you said you use. But actually I like it as well as the Prescriptives I used to use. I don't know if this was the particular formula you used or not. If not give it a try. If it is what you have been using and you cant find anything you like better you might look at your moisturizer. I did find the Nutrogena on the "greasy" side. So I stopped moisturizing before I put it on and It provides enough moisturizer. When I take it off at night I use moisturizer. I know all of the make up counter girls and Mary Kay ladies would tell me this is a recipie for wrinkles but I just am not buying it anymore. Good luck.

now a while ago I worked for ESTEE LAUDER .. and they have great stuff.

Their sister company CLinique was made for many people who have had allergies. I like the products ... But I am almost sure that almonds are in some of the products. SHeishedo is probably the most creamy cleanser I have ever tried. I am not sure if it has wheat in it . But it is the most luxurious make up ,, and borgesa is the best for nail polish.

but give the make up ingredients a whirl and see first .. maybe a call to your allergist .. they may have a list ..... its a try ... or check the web site and enquier. I would... because as we all know when you ask what is in things .. people get weird.

I haven't found anything in the Everyday Minerals line that isn't gluten free, and have never reacted to any of their makeup, but it's always good to check as they continue to add new products. I had almost given up on finding a gluten-free, soy-free lip stick or gloss, but have no problems with the Everyday Minerals potted lip gloss...HOORAY!

So I've been dealing with chasing the name celiac because of my body actively dealing with health issues related to celiac though not eating. Diagnosed in 1994 before foods eliminated from diet. After 25 years with former pcp I googled celiac specialist and she wasn't because of what ive been through. I wanted my results to be sent to my pcp but nothing was sent.I have email copies.I did one zoom call with np with team member from celiac specialist in Nov 2025 and she asked me why I wanted to know why I wanted the celiac diagnosis so bad, I sad I don't, its my life and I need revalidaion because its affecting me.KB stated well it shows you are.I asked then why am I going through all this.I was labeled unruly. Its been a celiac circus and medical has caused anxiety and depression no fault to my own other than being born with bad genetics. How is it legal for medical professionals to gaslight patients that are with an ailment coming for help to be downplayed? KB put in my records that she personally spent 120min with me and I think the zoom call was discussing celiac 80 min ONE ZOOM call.SHE is responsible for not explaining to my pcp about celiac disease am I right?

I've noticed with my age and menopause my smell for bread gives me severe migraines and I know this. Its alarming that there are all these fabulous bakeries, sandwich places pizza places popping up in confined areas.Just the other day I suffered a migraine after I got done with my mri when a guy with a brown paper bag walk in front of me and I smelled that fresh dough bread with tuna, I got a migraine when we got home.I hate im that sensitive. Its alarming these places are popping up in airports as well.I just saw on the news that the airport ( can't remember which  one)was going to have a fabulous smelling bakery. Not for sensitive celiacs, this can alter their health during their travel which isn't safe. More awareness really NEEDS to be promoted, so much more than just a food consumption!FYI I did write to Stanislaus to let them know my thoughts on the medical field not knowing much about celiac and how it affects one.I also did message my gi the 3 specialist names that was given on previous post on questions on celiac. I pray its not on deaf door.
