I went in and changed my Avatar, but when I go check to see if it has changed, it has, but not how I wanted it to.

I went in and selected a new scenic picture, and put that on, but when I go check the results, there is my old Avatar all squashed, stretched and mishappen! Not a good look for me personally.

But when I go into my controls my new Avatar is there, but it does not show up in the postings.

What did I do wrong?

Cathy

I just changed mine and the same thing happened. It took a few min. to finally change on it's own. Just wait, it should change.

When this happens, hit "refresh" :)

By the way, I love your new pic!

I can see both new avatars. Absolutely gorgeous!

That happened to me too. I just refreshed and it finally changed properly. It does look weird when it happens though

Thanks everyone for your help.

This morning it still was all skewed, but when I pressed refresh as advised, it fixed itself.

In case you are wondering it is The Church of the Good Shephard at Lake Tekapo in the South Island of New Zealand. We did the touristy thing (as we travelled 1200km/ 900 miles from home to get married) with all the family the day after we got married 18 months ago, and had to go see the Chruch. Usually in the middle of winter it is covered in snow.

I also have it on my desktop.

Maybe if like me, you press the refresh button?

I see the church now! It's weird the your first post in here still has the skewed pic but your subsequent posts are of the church. Just curious, what do you see as my avatar?

I see a young child in your avatar in a rugby looking shirt holding out his/her hand.

Oats naturally contain a protein called avenin, which is similar to the gluten proteins found in wheat, barley, and rye. While avenin is generally considered safe for most people with celiac disease, some individuals, around 5-10% of celiacs, may also have sensitivity to avenin, leading to symptoms similar to gluten exposure. You may fall into this category, and eliminating them is the best way to figure this out. Some people substitute gluten-free quinoa flakes for oats if they want a hot cereal substitute. If you are interested in summaries of scientific publications on the topic of oats and celiac disease, we have an entire category dedicated to it which is here: https://www.celiac.com/celiac-disease/oats-and-celiac-disease-are-they-gluten-free/
