So the wrapper looked nice and reassuring but this morning wasn't so...has any one else tried these bars and had a reaction? Organic Food Bar- Vegan, gluten-free, SF, P.nut Free, no preservatives, additives or coatings. I found them at my health food store and they aren't bad taste wise.

These are the ingredients:

Almond butter, blueberries, evaporated cane juice, maple syrup, sunflower oil, date paste, agave nectar, bio sprouts, flax, sesame seeds

I eat them all the time with no problems. The flax and such might be difficult to digest for some people.

I’ve used tinctures and made my own edibles with gluten-free ingredients to stay safe. Dispensary staff don’t always know about gluten, so I double-check labels or just make my own.

It's great to hear that there are some good doctors out there, and this is an example of why having a formal diagnosis can definitely be helpful.

Update: I have a wonderful new gastroenterologist. She wants to be sure there’s nothing more serious, like refractory celiac, going on. She ordered various tests including some micronutrient tests that no one has ever ordered before.  I’m deficient in folate and zinc and starting supplements for both. I’m so glad I decided to go to a new GI!

Autoimmune diseases tend to cluster. Many of them are found close together on the chromosomes.

Just giving another update... I was referred to rheumatology, and they suspect that I may also be dealing with fibromyalgia (it has not been formally diagnosed, but just suggested at this point).  So, I am continuing with the anti-inflammatory diet and vitamins and still working to keep getting rid of all these hidden gluten sources, but I also do have another possible explanation for some of the issues that I'm dealing with.
