Hi Julie! I am great! Do you know why? ....because...it only took my make-up six days to get from Texas to my doorstep in Prague (and I didn't have to pay a customs fee), and I didn't even pay for any fancy shipping either. :D :D :D :D :D There are dhl vans here....now I won't be tempted to start stalking them.

Mango!!! Long time no talk

OMG, I can't believe your order got to you faster in Prague than it did when you were in Cali, CRAZY!! But great for you :D.

Thanks for your color reviews too!

So people with the pearl concealers, tell me what the diff is between those and the regular, non-pearl concealers.

 Donna at your pale chalky face with the pressed powder. Would using a brush with it defeat the purpose  but a brush probably would not give you that nice cakey coverage that the applicator did. I'm just guessing here. Maybe you have to tap the applicator real good also, so that you are just applying in light layers.

Hmmm, Shannon I haven't had any trouble with my eyeshadow adhering. Is there too mush moisture on your eye area before you apply? I don't know if putting a base layer of something else like a concealer or a finishing dust would help also. Other than that I don't have any ideas......

I started using either foundation or the finishing powder before the eyeshadow and I get better coverage.

So people with the pearl concealers, tell me what the diff is between those and the regular, non-pearl concealers.

The pearl concealors seem to be a tad lighter than the regular of the same color, but they have a SHEEN...it's a pearlescent sheen...not sparkles. Think oil slick shine, not sparkle shine, lol. I'm really liking them because they give me a slightly dewy look without looking oily...I mix a MINISCULE amount with some silk dust (like one little dot of pearl concealor to two taps of the silk dust, lol) and put that all over my face as a primer layer, then my foundation over.

From what I've read on the EM boards and my own experience, the pear mint shows through just like the regular does, but what someone over there said is that it's made to cover redness but also meant to put another concealor over it.

Yeah, I'm going to try with a brush next. I really think I just got the wrong color...there are a couple which look a little darker so I think I'll try those before giving up. If one puts it in the $50 kit, the items only cost slightly more than $4 each. Great bargain on foundations and powders!

I put on the decrease, then a little of the silk dust/concealor on it which also seems to help.

That is why i bought 3 foundations in my 50 buck kit. I was like you cant beat that price. it really isnt cheaper to get the lipsticks in that kit tho. I think next time i will put the lipsticks in the 18 buck kit, then they will be 3 bucks each lol.

Im still waiting on my order.

Donna I will let you know if i like my pressed foundations when i get them since i got an darker shade then you lol.

I finally had time to place my order. I probably did it too late to get the special, but it did give the discount. It said the special was good TO the 14th. I don't know if that included the 14th which is when I ordered.

Anyway, I agree with Paula and Donna about the $50 kit. That is a great bargain, especially with 20% off. I just couldn't resist. I ordered a lot of experimental colors, that I might regret, but at least I will have a lot of it lol.

I am pretty sure I will love the pearl concealers (thanks for your review, Donna), so I got those - pink, beige, and sunlight.

I got 2 of the pressed powders, light pink blush and ivory. I got the new foundation - soft butter peach. I figure it will be good for mixing if it is not just right.

I ordered 2 new blushes one that Donna said looked like a true pink, shortcake, and wake up call. I got wake up call in the free sample kit. It looks very intense.

I ordered starlight eye shadow and soccer practice seperately.

I found the new site to be very cumbersome. Also, even though I was logged in, my kit was never saved for me. It would save the items I had picked individually, but never the kit, so I kept having to redo it. I finally just reloaded the kit and ordered immediately.

dlp252 Apprentice

Gosh, hope everyone loves their orders, lol. :P

ShadowSwallow Newbie

I just placed my new order! :D :D :D

I can't quite remember just what I ordered, though. :P I know I got at least one lip gloss. I also found out that using a slightly wet makeup brush and "blotting" with it helps the powder go over a creamy goop (like hydrocortisone cream) better. :P

Thanks Donna for the pearl concealer info :)

I'm excited about everyone's orders!!!

How long does the 20% off last, I can't find the special announcement on the new site  ........I'm probably looking right at it.

Jestgar Rising Star

I couldn't find anything either. I keep checking back here to find out what's going on there

To see the special, you have to go to the forums. It has been extended to the 17th now.

I ordered mine on 6/6. I had hoped to get it Friday or Saturday, but it's not here yet. Maybe today? I am going through tracking number withdrawl on the new site! Although, I did ship USPS, and their tracking information is never up to date anyway.

You should email Customer Service. Last week they were having all kinds of issues with orders. They are all caught up on the orders and emails so just email them as say that your order still says funded after a week.

My order came yesterday!!! I am so in love with the blue shadows I ordered. They are all pretty much the same, with subtle differences. I probably could have gotten away with only one, but I am a girl who likes choices! Today I chose Starlit. it is the perfecto combination of blue/green/gray. It will go with a lot of my clothes. When they said the free Launch party blush would be full sized, they were not kidding. Holy crap, this thing is massive! It is going to last me forever. I used it as a blush today, even thought I am not a big fan of brown blush, and it is quite nice. It is a nice sparkly color, but not too dark. It would make a great bronzer if I can ever get the application technique down. I got Shortcake blush in my sample kit. It's quite a bit more orange than I expected it would be. I will try that one out tomorrow. Soccer Practice lip color is my favorite so far. Really nice and natural color. I also got cherry fizz, which I think may be a little light for me.

All in all, it was worth the wait. I can't wait to do more experimenting after I get home tonight from work.

Yay!! I am so happy to hear this, this is exaclty the blue I am looking for.

What are the other blues you got that are similar?

A question about the problems with the carts.....reading what many of you have reported that you had to keep filling and refilling when you ordered, does this mean we can no longer fill our carts and save the contents like we did on the original site???

dlp252 Apprentice

Julie, the answer to your questions is maybe, lol. I have successfully saved a cart, and I have also had it disappear. There are still some glitchy little problems, but overall it's working fairly smoothly.

I had a nice $50 kit in my cart yesterday, which had been in my cart for several days, and actually tried to order it yesterday, but had a page error, so it didn't go through. That worked out well because I rethought my purchase and decided to go for the personal full size kit instead. Watch your order carefully...I had deleted the $50 kit and put in my personal full size kit, and it "remembered" a foundation that I had put in from yesterday...had to delete it and start over.

I finally DID order today...nothing exciting, just getting full sizes of the foundation and another of my favorite blushes, plus a blush brush and another lip gloss.

I washed my brushes last night so they were still damp this morning...not a problem, except that the only brush I don't have a duplicate of is the blush brush...so got that ordered, lol. Had to use my old BE brush...YUCK. :P

I'm still afraid to try to the new blue eyeshadows, even though they are dark. The only one I've tried so far is Starlit as a liner.

Mango04 Enthusiast

drive by (sorry): I'm wearing well being as a liner today, mainly b/c I accidently picked it up and was too lazy to dig for something else. I really like it though. Not too purple, not too dark - great liner (Just thought I'd share  )

Um, I have neuro lyme...you might need to be a little more specific for me!   I went over there and didn't see anything that looked like EOTW!

I still can't log in over there so I can't help.

I read that they have had problems with migrating everyone over, so maybe I'm one of those. Is it still your email for logging in.

Yep, email. During the trial period I couldn't log in with it, but eventually it seemed to clear itself.

Thanks Donna! Speaking of your brushes I think that is what I am going to ask for my birthday, a whole set of EM brushes :D You guys rave about them so much, especially in comparison the the BE brushes (which I am currently using). SO time for me to upgrade

Hi Mango, thanks for the Well Being review :)

@Jane02, I hear you about the kale and collard greens.  I don't do dairy and must eat green leafies, too, to get sufficient calcium.  I must be very careful because some calcium supplements are made from ground up crustacean shells.  When I was deficient in Vitamin D, I took high doses of Vitamin D to correct the deficiency quickly.  This is safe and nontoxic.  Vitamin D level should be above 70 nmol/L.  Lifeguards and indigenous Pacific Islanders typically have levels between 80-100 nmol/L.   Levels lower than this are based on amount needed to prevent disease like rickets and osteomalacia. We need more thiamine when we're physically ill, emotionally and mentally stressed, and if we exercise like an athlete or laborer.  We need more thiamine if we eat a diet high in simple carbohydrates.  For every 500 kcal of carbohydrates, we need 500-1000 mg more of thiamine to process the carbs into energy.  If there's insufficient thiamine the carbs get stored as fat.  Again, recommended levels set for thiamine are based on minimum amounts needed to prevent disease.  This is often not adequate for optimum health, nor sufficient for people with absorption problems such as Celiac disease.  Gluten free processed foods are not enriched with vitamins like their gluten containing counterparts.  Adding a B Complex and additional thiamine improves health for Celiacs.  Thiamine is safe and nontoxic even in high doses.  Thiamine helps the mitochondria in cells to function.  Thiamine interacts with each of the other B vitamins.  They are all water soluble and easily excreted if not needed. Thank you so much @knitty kitty for this insightful information! I would have never considered fractionated coconut oil to be a potential source of GI upset. I will consider all the info you shared. Very interesting about the Thiamine deficiency.  I've tracked daily averages of my intake in a nutrition software. The only nutrient I can't consistently meet from my diet is vitamin D. Calcium is a hit and miss as I rely on vegetables, dark leafy greens as a major source, for my calcium intake. I'm able to meet it when I either eat or juice a bundle of kale or collard greens daily haha. My thiamine intake is roughly 120% of my needs, although I do recognize that I may not be absorbing all of these nutrients consistently with intermittent unintentional exposures to gluten.  My vitamin A intake is roughly 900% (~6400 mcg/d) of my needs as I eat a lot of sweet potato, although since it's plant-derived vitamin A (beta-carotene) apparently it's not likely to cause toxicity.  Thanks again!
    • knitty kitty
Hello, @Jane02,  I take Naturewise D 3.  It contains olive oil.   Some Vitamin D supplements, like D Drops, are made with fractionated coconut oil which can cause digestive upsets.  Fractionated coconut oil is not the same as coconut oil used for cooking.  Fractionated coconut oil has been treated for longer shelf life, so it won't go bad in the jar, and thus may be irritating to the digestive system. I avoid supplements made with soy because many people with Celiac Disease also react to soy.  Mixed tocopherols, an ingredient in Thornes Vitamin D, may be sourced from soy oil.  Kirkland's has soy on its ingredient list. I avoid things that might contain or be exposed to crustaceans, like Metagenics says on its label.  I have a crustacean/shellfish/fish allergy.  I like Life Extension Bioactive Complete B Complex.  I take additional Thiamine B 1 in the form Benfotiamine which helps the intestines heal, Life Extension MegaBenfotiamine. Thiamine is needed to activate Vitamin D.   Low thiamine can make one feel like they are getting glutened after a meal containing lots of simple carbohydrates like white rice, or processed gluten free foods like cookies and pasta.   It's rare to have a single vitamin deficiency.  The water soluble B Complex vitamins should be supplemented together with additional Thiamine in the form Benfotiamine and Thiamine TTFD (tetrahydrofurfuryl disulfide) to correct subclinical deficiencies that don't show up on blood tests.  These are subclinical deficiencies within organs and tissues.  Blood is a transportation system.  The body will deplete tissues and organs in order to keep a supply of thiamine in the bloodstream going to the brain and heart.   If you're low in Vitamin D, you may well be low in other fat soluble vitamins like Vitamin A and Vitamin K. Have you seen a dietician?
    • Scott Adams
I do not know this, but since they are labelled gluten-free, and are not really a product that could easily be contaminated when making them (there would be not flour in the air of such a facility, for example), I don't really see contamination as something to be concerned about for this type of product.
