 Uh-oh......if that's cult status.......I'd better slink away real quite like.

I don't wear makeup that often right now.....I imagine I'll eventually get into the routine of wearing it more though.

Yeah, but keep in mind that I own practically EVERYTHING they sell, lol! After spending all that cash (even at the bargain that it is), I'd BETTER wear it often, lol!

How can you see what you put in your kit once it is full? I clicked all over the items in my shopping cart, but can't figure out how to do this.

It has been so long since I filled them that I can't remember what I put in them.

I'm baaaaacccckkkk!

Well, I only ended up wearing makeup on the flight over to Las Vegas, lol. I DID take some with me, but it was so hot there and the air conditioning was doing a number on me, so I felt like I needed to wash my face all the time. So, I'm back to work today and back to normal makeup routine. :P

Fun order Shannon!!

So glad you are back Donna :D Well at least you had your make up with you if you needed it.

Yesterday I did something different. I put green concealer all over my red ruddy spots, then a layer of pick me up pink on top of that, and then my foundation. It really worked out great.

Oh and I got Salon Fun with my order, not that other one they were giving out as a freebee (drawing a blank on the name of that color), but I wore that yesterday and I like it.....not sure if it is my favorite, but I do like it.

What is salon fun like? Is it pinkish?

Thanks,

Welcome Beth! Mine is still sitting in my cart, just waiting to be ordered, lol. Anxiously awaiting a review by anyone, lol.

It's kind of a rose-ish color, I'm terrible at trying to describe colors....

Hi and welcome Beth :)

ShadowSwallow Newbie

I finally got my makeup yesterday! :D :D

And a RAVE review for the Start to Finish powder with kaolin clay. Normally I wear several layers of both matte and intensive foundation, but today I kinda ran out of time to put my makeup on before I went to Dagorhir practice (read: lots of running around and sweating in the humid heat). :P I buffed on two layers of the Start to Finish powder and two of intensive foundation. I was sweating like nobody's business and usually all my makeup runs off, but I looked in the mirror a few minutes ago (all the sweat has dried off now :P) and I just look kinda "dewy" with all foundation intact! It's awesome!

After reading a bunch of these posts and having an issue with Cover Girl/P&G, I went online Thursday and put in my order for my free kit--I got it on Saturday!!!! I am now an EM fan. The 1st color I picked for my foundation was PERFECT, the bronzer gives just the right amount of color and the concealer (I used wet) exceeded my expectations-I have naturally dark under-eyes. I also LOVE LOVE LOVE that it feels like I'm wearing nothing and even after my Krav class last night where I probably sweat 3 cups from my face (seriously-no exaggeration...) my face still looked great. If it wasn't for my clothes looking like I just jumped in a lake, I would have felt comfortable going to the grocery store :lol:

Thanks so much! I AM a believer :D

Yay Rachelle!!!! Woo hoo! I still love this stuff even after several months.

Hi Rachelle, I'm glad you decided to give EM a try, it's so much fun to hear from a happy customer!

What bronzer did you get if I may ask?

What bronzer did you get if I may ask?

It was in the blush selection-just called bronzer. I tried to get on the website to find out exactly, but the site won't open for some reason. I'll keep trying and see if I can get any more info...

Are we doing swaps? I have two full size 'fair' foundation, one matte, one intensive (i think) that I got while I was anemic and the color of a dead fish. Now that I have a few more red blood cells, this stuff is way too light for me. Is there someone with a naturally creamy complexion that wants it??

um, not to imply that anyone interested is the color of a dead fish or anything....

It's called EVERYDAY Bronzer. I put it on T-zone under the foundation and a little on the cheeks instead of blush, gives a soft sun-kissed glow without the shiny.

This cracked me up Jess!:lol:

Sounds too light for me, but thanks for the offer. maybe someone else will take you up on it.

Glad you have some color back in your complexion, those red blood cells work wonders :D

Thanks Rachelle, that's one I have been wanting to try! Sounds pretty :)

Ok, so I know I am a little late in figuring out my colors but I think I have found my everyday look. I tried Sunkissed fair foundation today (after using Multi-Tasking from the cool category before) I still have shades in Buff to try and I am thinking I might need to try the Warm category as well. I really don't think I have my perfect match yet.

Eh, jury is still out on Sunkissed Fair. But what I am firm on is Weekend Getaway as my blush, love it!

On my eyes I use Cliche as a brow bone highlighter (works perfect for me , no gray at all) Ginger Peach all over the lid, and Wild Flowers in the crease and in the corners. Then brown mascara to finish it off.

As far as concealers I use them all  I put mint around the corners of my nose becasue I get red there, then buff a light layer of mint all over, Sunlight under my eyes, then a layer of Pick Me Up Pink buffed all over that, then my foundation buffed over that.

Oh, and I tried TInted Silk Dust today (I ordered a sample) and I think I like it.

I have been playing around with the concelors to. I have been using mint then put on pick me up pink over it. It kinda gets rid of the green effect lol

I love sunkissed fair in intensive. It is an perfect match. Have u tried the new peach color, i love that one to.

I need to try wild flowers with those colors. Lately i have been doing cliche all over then pink pajamas)did u see that is dicontinued) and then smokey pink in the crease.

I also love tinted silk dust, i use that after it all. Today i used the start to finish sunlight and it looked pretty good to lol

How often do you all clean your brushes? I try to wait at least 5min after I put on my eczema creams to put on my makeup, but mine become goopy really quickly. After that, no matter how much I buff it looks like I'm wearing plaster. I think at least a once-a-week, if not twice-a-week cleaning is my fate. :P

Reading right along........

I have a lot to learn about makeup application with this stuff......when I wear it.

Jess,

I'm fair, but I don't know that I'm that fair....

How often do you all clean your brushes?

I clean mine about once a month I think. I have two sets so that I can really wash them good and use the other set while the first is drying...I let them dry at least two or three days. I don't use a heavy cream on my face...need to use an oil free acne moisturizer, so that probably helps them to not get goopy, but they can get bacteria I think. I DO have a problem with breakouts so I try to keep them fairly clean just for that reason.

To clean them I use liquid castille soap (Dr. Bonner's).

This article does not address migraines at all.  Yes, red wine and sulfites are often mentioned in connection with migraine triggers. With me, any kind of alcoholic beverage in very modest amounts will reliably produce a migraine. Nitrous oxide generators, which are vaso dialators, also will give me migraines reliably. So, I think most of my migraines are tied to fluctuations vascular tension and blood flow to the brain. That's why the sumatriptan works so well. It is a vaso constrictor.

Excessive dietary tyrosine can cause problems.  Everything in moderation.   Sulfites can also trigger migraines. Sulfites are found in fermented, pickled and aged foods, like cheese.  Sulfites cause a high histamine release.  High histamine levels are found in migraine.  Following a low histamine diet like the low histamine Autoimmune Protocol diet, a Paleo diet, helps immensely.    Sulfites and other migraine trigger foods can cause changes in the gut microbiome.  These bad bacteria can increase the incidence of migraines, increasing histamine and inflammation leading to increased gut permeability (leaky gut), SIBO, and higher systemic inflammation.   A Ketogenic diet can reduce the incidence of migraine.  A Paleo diet like the AIP diet, that restricts carbohydrates (like from starchy vegetables) becomes a ketogenic diet.  This diet also changes the microbiome, eliminating the bad bacteria and SIBO that cause an increase in histamine, inflammation and migraine.  Fewer bad bacteria reduces inflammation, lowers migraine frequency, and improves leaky gut. Since I started following the low histamine ketogenic AIP paleo diet, I rarely get migraine.  Yes, I do eat carbs occasionally now, rice or potato, but still no migraines.  Feed your body right, feed your intestinal bacteria right, you'll feel better.  Good intestinal bacteria actually make your mental health better, too.  I had to decide to change my diet drastically in order to feel better all the time, not just to satisfy my taste buds.  I chose to eat so I would feel better all the time.  I do like dark chocolate (a migraine trigger), but now I can indulge occasionally without a migraine after.   Microbiota alterations are related to migraine food triggers and inflammatory markers in chronic migraine patients with medication overuse headache https://pmc.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/articles/PMC11546420/

Then we would need to cut out all meat and fish as they are richer sources of tyrosine than nuts and cheese. Something else about certain tyrosine rich foods must be the actual culprit.

I agree that KAN-101 looks promising, and hope the fast track is approved. From our article below: "KAN-101 shows promise as an immune tolerance therapy aiming to retrain the immune system, potentially allowing safe gluten exposure in the future, but more clinical data is needed to confirm long-term effects."
    • Scott Adams
Thank you so much for having the courage to share this incredibly vivid and personal experience; it's a powerful reminder of how physical ailments can disrupt our fundamental sense of self. What you're describing sounds less like a purely psychological body dysmorphia and more like a distinct neurological event, likely triggered by the immense physical stress and inflammation that uncontrolled celiac disease can inflict on the entire body, including the nervous system. It makes complete sense that the specific sensory input—the pressure points of your elbows on your knees—created a temporary, distorted body map in your brain, and the fact that it ceased once you adopted a gluten-free diet is a crucial detail. Your intuition to document this is absolutely right; it's not "crazy" but rather a significant anecdotal data point that underscores the mysterious and far-reaching ways gluten can affect individuals. Your theory about sensory triggers from the feet for others is also a thoughtful insight, and sharing this story could indeed be validating for others who have had similar, unexplainable sensory disturbances, helping them feel less alone in their journey.
