Any Good Gf Breads?

Has anyone found a gluten-free bread that you don't have to bake yourself? I used to like Gluten Free Delites' white bread, but they went out of business! I can't seem to find any that taste even remotely edible. Has anyone else been luckier?

There are some good english muffins that come in plain and cinnamon made by Foods by George. They taste really good toasted especially.

This is their website where you can find more information:

Also EnerG has some good gluten-free bread too but my personal favorite is Foods by George.

Open Original Shared Link and Open Original Shared Link are the two most popular brands.

Yes I forgot about that brand...Kinnikinnick is an awesome brand that tastes incredibly good. :D

Yes--and besides making breads, Kinnikinick makes other...bread products, such as muffins and donuts--that's why I provided the link: you'll probably find Ener-G or Kinnikinick in your healthfood store, but they have so much more than bread to offer.

I like Food By George, but they're really expensive and even though their brownies and crumb cake are good, I find that "homemade brownies" with a gluten-free mix usually turn out even better. I used to eat their english muffins every morning, but I found a gluten-free bagel that I liked...I think it's made by Sans Gluten.

Yeah we ordered Kinnikinnick donuts and muffins a while ago and they tasted so good we ate all of it within a week.

Foods By George your right is a bit on the high side but I love the english muffins. I also have them just about every morning for breakfast and really enjoy them. My dad tried them and he loved them and he is not even a celiac.

I'll have to go get some of the bagels by Sans Gluten and try them. The health food stores are really getting a good collection of gluten free products in that are pretty good tasting too. :D

I eat Kinnikinnick all the time. I rtend to just use their english muffins and slice them thin.

My family likes Whole Foods Bakery bread but I am a Kinnikinnick gal.

i use energee brown rice bread as toast in the morning...and for grilled cheese sandwhiches...and it is fine. but you have to toast it for it to taste good. i am planning to try kinnicick soon...but havnt found it in a store yet. if it comes down to it, i'll order it from the website. too bad the shipping is so much.

I like Kinnikinnick too. I am lucky in that I can buy it at Dominion grocery stores in Toronto.

Last Saturday I bought two loaves of El Peto bread - their whole grain and a flax seed. These are even better than Many Wonder Multigrain Rice bread, my favourite Kinnikinnick, IMO. You can order El Peto on line at Open Original Shared Link

Cold/flu or gluten poisoning? Hello. I've had another similar episode. I find it very difficult to differentiate between the symptoms of a cold or flu and those caused by gluten poisoning. In fact, I don't know if my current worsening is due to having eaten something that disagreed with me or if the cold I have has caused my body, which is hypersensitive, to produce symptoms similar to those of gluten poisoning.

I'm no longer dealing with constipation. I got my liver test last month and it was in normal range. Two years ago I did have a vitamin D deficiency but I'm know taking vitamin D3 pills. Last month I got my vitamin D checked and it was in normal range. I don't believe I've had my choline checked. However, I do drink almond milk eat Greek yogurt on a daily basis.

Non-Celiac Gluten Sensitivity (NCGS) can be associated with low ferritin and iron deficiency. Once Celiac Disease (1% of the population affected) has been ruled out by tests the next step is to check for Non Celiac Gluten Sensitivity (10% of the population affected) by eliminating gluten for a trial period, then re-introduce Gluten Challange. Have you been supplementing Iron? How are your liver enzymes? Low levels of ferritin indicate iron deficiency, while  59% transferrin saturation indicates high iron levels.  Possibly indicating Fatty Liver Disease.  Choline is crucial for liver health, and deficiency is a known trigger for Non-Alcoholic Fatty Liver.  Some experts say that less than 10% eat the the Food and Nutrition Board established Adequate Intake that are based on the prevention of liver damage. Severe constipation and hemorrhoids may be linked to a bile or choline deficiency.  "Ninety-five percent of phospholipids (PLs) in bile is secreted as phosphatidylcholine or lecithin."  Fatty acid composition of phospholipids in bile in man   Deficiency of these bile salts causes the bile to get thick. Some people with Celiac Disease are misdiagnosed with Gall Bladder bile issues.  Removal of the gallbladder provides only temporary relief. Whether or not celiac disease or NCGS are your issues you need to look at your vitamin D blood level.

If you have hemorrhoids 1x weekly I don't see how you have time to heal from one episode before you experience another one, unless each one is a very minor event. Have you consulted a physician about your hemorrhoid issue? It's not normal to be having an episode every week unless it is really one episode that is not completely healing between weekly flareups.
