I just tried HOL - Grain brand, and they were practically inedible. Really hard and no taste. I'm lucky I didn't crack (another) tooth!

Thanks for any suggestions!

Sam's club has this brand at a pretty good price. I am not a big crackers fan but like them with sandwiches.

Glutino also has good crackers but they are a little pricey.

My favorites are the crackers by Glutino (particularly the plain or the vegetable) and the Schar crackers. The Schar ones can be a bit crumbly, but are delicious.

I like Nut Thins (Almond) , the Crunchmaster ones from Sam's, and glutino crackers.

If it's just for texture and not for spreading, Schar's has "breadsticks" which are thin, long crackery sticks that I crumble into soups and/or dip into pizza sauce.

IMO, there are two basic types of gluten-free crackers. The "poker chip" kind, such as Mary's Gone, Almond Nut Thins, the one's at Sam's etc. These are hard as a rock chips, not really what I think of when I want a cracker for soups or speading butter on or cheese, peanut butter etc. Plus they often are loaded with sesame seeds. Sometimes I feel like sesame seeds and sometimes I don't.

Then there's Glutinos. Almost a real cracker. The closest thing to a saltine I've come across so far. Yes, they are expensive. And they often are broken in the box, they're pretty fragile. There's one variety that I don't like. It has caraway seeds. So don't get it if you don't want your crackers tasting like rye bread. I think it's the multigrain kind.

Personally, I love "Mary's Gone Crackers" (especially the black pepper flavor) with hummus as a dip. Yum :P I think I'll go have some right now...

Yup. Make 'em all the time.

I'm a Mary's Gone Crackers fan myself, too. (Love it with Hummus, too!)

But then again, I was never a Ritz fan... I did look at the Glutino's when I was at Whole Foods the other day, and I believe they had soy in them, or egg, or one of those things that I can't eat. So they're off my list anyway...

i'm a big fan of the Glutino brand. they really taste like real crackers! but oh so expensive...about $4.30 for a box of 36 crackers. Nut Thin crackers are really hard and thin and have kind of a greasy feel to them. their taste takes some getting used to.

Love the Glutino's.

For me it's only Glutino's! I love the cheese ones! :D

I get the Crunchmaster ones at Costco. Occasionally (rarely) I have found the Glutino crackers on such a good sale at "the forbidden online retail store we're not allowed to mention here" that they've actually been a reasonable price -- around $2/box. Two different types of cracker for two different purposes. The Glutino ones are good to accompany a soup or chili, and the Crunchmaster ones go well with a finger-food plate (cheese, pickles, olives, etc.). I like all the flavors of both crackers!

I love the En-er-G ones and the Glutino ones (except multi-grain). Not a fan of Mary's Gone Crackers (tried them two different times, and both times, different flavors, they tasted burnt).

Personally I love rice crackers! They are great with a little hummus spread; my daughter likes them with cheese, although I tend to avoid cheese at this point. The salty ones are even good plain, nice and crunchy (although, maybe not so good for high blood pressure). There are a few gluten-free brands out there that I like. I usually get them at Wegman's.

We love Schar. Expensive and fragile but oh so good!

They may want to also eliminate other possible causes for your symptoms/issues and are doing additional tests.  Here is info about blood tests for celiac disease--if positive an endoscopy where biopsies of your intestinal villi are taken to confirm is the typical follow up.

In the Europe the new protocol for making a celiac disease diagnosis in children is if their tTg-IgA (tissue transglutaminase IgA) levels are 10 times or above the positive level for celiac disease--and you are above that level. According to the latest research, if the blood test results are at certain high levels that range between 5-10 times the reference range for a positive celiac disease diagnosis, it may not be necessary to confirm the results using an endoscopy/biopsy: Blood Test Alone Can Diagnose Celiac Disease in Most Children and Adults TGA-IgA at or Above Five Times Normal Limit in Kids Indicates Celiac Disease in Nearly All Cases No More Biopsies to Diagnose Celiac Disease in Children! May I ask why you've had so many past tTg-IgA tests done, and many of them seem to have been done 3 times during short time intervals?

@JettaGirl, "Coeliac" is the British spelling of "celiac". Same disease.

This may sound ridiculous but is this supposed to say Celiacs? I looked up Coeliacs because you never know, there’s a lot of diseases related to a disease that they come up with similar names for. It’s probably meant to say Celiacs but I just wanted to confirm.

I was told it was to see how much damage has been caused. But just told CT with contrast not any other name for it.
