Has anyone else tried Trader Joe's gluten-free Crispy Chocolate Chip Cookies? They were recommended to me by an employee who does not have gluten issues but said he buys them because they taste so great. And they do! I am not a cookie fan at all but bought some for my daughter to try and I decided to taste them too. OMG! They taste as good as the real deal. I told my husband I don't think you could eat the regular cookie and this one and taste a difference. Even the texture is good and we all know that oftentimes it's the texture of the baked goods that give the gluten-free content it's reputation as being nasty. And at $2.69 a dozen, I did not think the price was so terrible either. BTW, their chewy, moist gluten-free snickerdoodles are good too.

Wow. Didn't know they had gluten-free cookies!

I have had mixed reactions from tj processed stuff. Maybe I'll work up nerve to try them.

Yes, I like the chocolate creme brule cups, too! I haven't seen those particular cookies at my local TJ's, but I've tried their wonderful tasting gingersnap cookies. Unfortunately, though, they glutened me twice (yeah, I thought I'd try another bag, hoping that it had been something else that had glutened me). So...I got glutened twice out of four bags. That's a very bad batting average.

However, different manufacturers are involved with the products at TJs, and perhaps the maker of the cookies you like are a lot more careful than the makers of the gingersnap cookies. I'm only providing this info to warn everyone about TJ's gluten-free gingersnaps.

If you check out my post from yesterday regarding the CC issue at local grocery store under the 'coping with' thread, you might consider that the CC may have happened on the package rather that in it. I did notice that the gluten-free cookies at TJ's are all place together with toxic products right next to them.

That is one issue that I have with TJ's.They don't have a dedicated section for their gluten-free products, which makes it harder to find them and more difficult to trust in them as being safe. Hmmmmmmm...I think I feel another e-mail coming on......

Is trader joe's expensive in general? We do not have any here in FL but they are building one 2 hrs away in Naples <_<

Ours are in the same place but there were toxic products right along with them. I had to very carefully read the packaging to find the little 'g' symbol for gluten free. When I am in a hurry, I don't have the time to sift through all of the merchandise to find things that are safe for me to eat so I don't shop at TJ's very often. Also, while they may be placed next to the chocolates, etc, that does not mean that they were shipped with the chocolates and other gluten-free stuff. Besides, it's almost always really busy and the aisles are narrow so I don't feel like I can take the time I want to read the labels carefully. It reminds me of a 70's bodega or little corner market. They have nice things, I just want a little more space and time to look them over. :rolleyes:

In general it's cheaper than a lot of natural food places. But it truly depends on what your buying, some items are better priced than others. But overall, good prices.

Lol. I just posted yesterday about these cookies. Without reading down the rest of the board. :P Sorry about that. I was just SO excited to find these cookies because they are so good. :)

TJ's has great prices in Indy. Love that store.

I tried these yesterday and was extremely sick this morning. I didn't eat anything new yesterday, so I'm thinking it must be the cookies. Anyone else get sick from these?!

Just wanted to mention that I got glutened by these cookies. as soon as I ate one my tongue and lips got numb, sharp headache, warm all over, floating feeling, gurgly stomach, and diarhea. yup..glutened.

The numbness sounds more like an allergy :(

      So I've been dealing with chasing the name celiac because of my body actively dealing with health issues related to celiac though not eating. Diagnosed in 1994 before foods eliminated from diet. After 25 years with former pcp I googled celiac specialist and she wasn't because of what ive been through. I wanted my results to be sent to my pcp but nothing was sent.I have email copies.I did one zoom call with np with team member from celiac specialist in Nov 2025 and she asked me why I wanted to know why I wanted the celiac diagnosis so bad, I sad I don't, its my life and I need revalidaion because its affecting me.KB stated well it shows you are.I asked then why am I going through all this.I was labeled unruly. Its been a celiac circus and medical has caused anxiety and depression no fault to my own other than being born with bad genetics. How is it legal for medical professionals to gaslight patients that are with an ailment coming for help to be downplayed? KB put in my records that she personally spent 120min with me and I think the zoom call was discussing celiac 80 min ONE ZOOM call.SHE is responsible for not explaining to my pcp about celiac disease am I right?

Its alarming these places are popping up in airports as well.I just saw on the news that the airport ( can't remember which  one)was going to have a fabulous smelling bakery. Not for sensitive celiacs, this can alter their health during their travel which isn't safe. More awareness really NEEDS to be promoted, so much more than just a food consumption!FYI I did write to Stanislaus to let them know my thoughts on the medical field not knowing much about celiac and how it affects one.I also did message my gi the 3 specialist names that was given on previous post on questions on celiac. I pray its not on deaf door.

      I used to be able to get the Rivera yougut i havent been able to get it lately. I like getting it did say it did say gluten free. I just looking for a good yogurt that gluten free that i can add some fruit and nuts to any suggestion would be helpful  thanks
