I'm pretty sure it has to be on the internet first.....at least, that's the only way I've been able to do it. I've put a pic on fb, then copied the location and pasted it here...

We had better add this to the Newbie 101 thread! We need gluten-free cars! :)

This is a billboard I saw while in Baltimore recently. Look how mainstream our mockery

has become! I actually laughed pretty hard when I saw it....

I think it is really funny. Then I picture someone asking for a gluten-free car! :)

Laugh all you want... it is working - everyone is talking about it in this thread and that is all the advertisers want.

This is excellent........

Man, I wish that modern cars were anything BUT gluten-free....wouldn't it be great if wheat could be the base for a gasoline type (like corn is) and the world could start using it to fuel our vehicles and heat our homes? Get it out of our food system..... <_<   <_<

Yeah, that would be good.....

OK - Loey has some bragging (or kvelling) to do! Tony scored a 170 out of a possible 180 on his LSAT's. Yesterday he was accepted into NYU Law School. He wasn't supposed to hear from any of the schools he applied to for several months. He also didn't expect to get into NYU. He's got his heart set on Ca & applied to Stanford, UCLA & Berkley, as well as several other top law schools. The cost will play into his choices as the cost of law school's on him. NYU would cost $$300,000 by the time he gets his degree. Anyway, thanks for letting me share - you are my extended family!

WOOO HOOOOO, Loweeeee!   :D    :D    Good for Tony -- what a smart kid you have. Any scholarship possibilities? ( I ask because know that he is bloody brill)....

THIS! THIS! is what ASL (American Sign Language) looks like when properly done! In many ways I find it superior to English! Watch the little girl tell the story, its well worth the 4 1/2 or so minutes! Wish I still lived near the church that was teaching ASL for free...only learned some of the basics.

Hello my sweet Psillies,

Wishing you all a Merry Christmas (and to those who don't celebrate Christmas I wish you a happy holiday). I hope you are surrounded by those you hold most dear. May the New Year bring you all health, happiness, & success.

Love & (((hugs))),

I finally converted an old recipe to gluten free and every one loved it.

Cheesy potato Deluxe

2 pounds of hashbrowns ( thawed)

1 stick of butter

4 ounces sharp cheddar cheese

8 ounces of sour cream

2 cans of cream of (potato, chicken, or mushroom) soup

1 medium onion fined chopped

salt and pepper to taste

mix all ingredients in large mixing bowl, place into 9 by 13 baking dish. Bake a 375 degrees for 1 hour.

Finally found boxed gluten free cream soups,Pacific organic brand!  Meijer's started carrying this brand and it is a much better price than the health food stores.

It is New Year's Eve, a time for reflection.

This board has now been running for 10 years. It went online to the world on December 31, 2003.

I joined on December 28, 2004, so it is nine years for me. I have have been honoured to be a moderator since 2007.

The year now ending has been an eventful one for me--some good, some bad.

As 2014 dawns, I wish all my friends here a prosperous and happy New Year.

Loey Rising Star

We are all so lucky to have you as our moderator for all these years, Peoter. This forum has enriched my life in so many ways. It's the silver lining in this crazy celiac world. I love my Psilly Phamily and wish you all a year filled with good health, good times, good people and only the best life has to offer! I'll see you all next year!!!

GFinDC Veteran

Here's a simple prayer for all psillyaks to enjoy a blessed and fruitful New Year.  May the good Lord bless you in many ways this coming year, in Jesus mighty name, amen.  :)

Oh I have 2 dogs. And I just looked up the ingredients in their food and it does contain barley as a main ingredient. Maybe some other things too that aren't helpful but barley just caught my eye on a quick look.  And yes I spend lots of time with them, they're always cuddled up on me. I even have wondered before if I was allergic to them and I take Allegra at night out of some thought that maybe I was allergic to them (but I've never confirmed that).  Wow. This is very interesting. I could try putting them out on some grain-free food for a month and see if that helps. Thanks for the tip!

Hi Thanks for answering so quickly. Not sure about any other blood tests, all I have is a copy of what my daughter sent to me. Hopefully she’ll get the biopsy soon cos she’s really anxious about the whole thing, but she tends to have a lot of anxiety anyway and has done for a long time
    • trents
Welcome to the forum, @Heatherisle! Yes, not uncommon for multiple celiac antibody tests to not agree. The Endomysial IGA was the first antibody test developed to detect celiac disease. It is expensive to run and has largely been replaced by the tTG-IGA. But some physicians, particularly those who have been in practice for awhile, still order the EMA. It's a good test. Was there a "total IGA" test run to check for IGA deficiency?

Hi  New to this so bear with me!!! My daughter was told a few years ago she probably had IBS but been feeling generally worse lately Recent IgA TTG Ab blood test indicative of coeliac at 19 U/ml but Endomysial IgA Abs negative. Awaiting appointment for biopsy , so was wondering if anyone else has had these differing results. Thank you

The article was shocking - and horrifying - to read. For me it’s a good argument to cook as many fresh foods as possible. I personally can’t do grain free because I lose weight too quickly and don’t feel full, but I will be sticking to companies I trust like Lundberg for rice.    I live in Germany and thankfully, labeling here is more transparent and more trustworthy than it appears to be in the U.S. these days (where I’m also originally from).  I am so sorry to hear this! May you heal quickly. ❤️
