  1. I was so happy when I saw that! Hooray for the Mars company! The skittles are kinda weird, do taste chocolatey, but not my favorite. The smores and chocolate pudding ones are pretty good. It made my day though, just seeing those two words on the bag! Sent them a big thank you email
  2. So, I'm really going to do it. I'm so tired of being sick all the time! My question is, a lot of the websites I've read suggest using a lot of rice products in the diet. I thought that rice was one to avoid? Also, if anyone has anything to recommend as far as literature or a guide, I'd love that. Right now, I'm modifying a couple of lists that I've found...
  3. See if while she's there, she can buy you a large waffle fry and a salad. Those are, to my knowledge, gluten-free. It sucks though, not being able to eat what everyone else is eating
  4. totally weak!!! wish we could help all those ignorant people out there.
  5. awesome! thanks guys and gals!
  6. that's totally weak! i used to eat at N&C all the time (was close to my former workplace). well the idiots need to take off their menu the "we would be happy to help accomodate your allergy needs" statement talk about moving backwards.....
  7. Which supplement brands are the best? And where do you purchase yours?
  8. I also love progresso's creamy mushroom soup, but it's so hard to find here. guess campbell's is more popular or something. but when i see it, i stock up!!!
  9. what kind of recipes are you looking for?
  10. that's my guess too mine was walmart brand, and being at work right now, i'm not positive, but i'm 99% sure it says gluten free on there.
  11. i went to walmart and bought a very small toaster oven for myself, didn't trust my hubby enough in that respect - like larry mac said add ADHD to the equation, and CC is a big problem in my house
  12. one thing i do is freeze extra broth (from the can, or homemade). made hamburger soup last night with extra beef broth that i had in the freezer. just pour it into an ice cube tray and freeze. once solid, i usually dump the cubes into a ziploc also very helpful for making gravies.
  13. My very favorite and most used gluten-free cookbook is called Life Tastes Good Again. You can get it here: Open Original Shared Link Also, check out their recipes on the website, all are great! I haven't made a bad one yet. I know these girls personally, and they can cook!!!
  14. WOW! So lucky! I'd be going back for breakfast, lunch and dinner!
  15. I'm agreeing with everyone in thinking it was probably CC. Although it could havve been a dairy overload as well. Not positive. Almost back to normal now Chicken coating? This sounds intriguing!
  16. i've thought about experimenting with a non-dairy cheese substitute...still not disciplined enough to kick the dairy habit
  17. I do this a lot with meat. I buy it in bulk at walmart or costco, and cook it all up at once. Very smart Just be sure and label!! I once threw a baggie full of chocolate brownies in the microwave to defrost. Not exactly taco salad topping Sure smelled good though! What's your recipe for chicken fingers?
  18. Mmm, I love corbett fish house! Have you been to McCormick and Schmicks? Open Original Shared Link I had the best flourless chocolate cake there! I also LOVED the Atlantic Salmon - stuffed with crab, shrimp and brie cheese. Just thinking about it is making my mouth water
  19. Got glutened during the superbowl These are my suspects at the moment: Cheetos (regular flavor) Raisinets Ranch dip (hidden valley powder, added to sour cream) CC from the pretzels on the other side of the room (but everyone else was eating them along with the safe food) I thought all the items above (minus the pretzels) were gluten-free. Wrong...
  20. Gluten Free Cheese Crackers 2 Tbsp. butter 1 egg Pinch each of salt and chili powder 1 cup sharp cheddar cheese, finely grated 1 tsp. xanthan gum 3/4 cup white rice flour (brown rice flour makes them grainy) 1/4 cup potato starch additional salt, to taste Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Mix butter, egg and seasonings in a mixing...

  23. me too that's something i was wondering myself.... i actually had a coworker mention something like this "oh, wouldn't it be nice for you if they invented something that could detect gluten" and i laughed, cuz i was reading this post last night
  24. Yeah, we've been using back up. Kinda frustrating waiting for my body to start doing it's thing again My dr said that they don't do IUD's in women who haven't delivered because it can cause all sorts of inflammation, leading to infections and unrepairable damage...*shrug*
