  1. It is your choice what to do next. Your bloodwork was negative, but that could mean that there just is not enough damage to show up. You can still get the biopsy if you want to. You say you felt better on the Atkins diet, so I recommend you try the gluten-free diet for 6 weeks. A doctor's diagnosis is not needed to eat gluten-free, so if you feel better...
  2. It is my personal opinion that gluten intolerance and celiac disease are the same things, with varying levels of damage. Being intolerant would mean only that you do not have intestinal damage yet. You still have to adhere strictly to a gluten-free diet to be healthy.
  3. This is why I always told my kids things. I was told not to tell them when things were bad or someone was sick, it would put too much stress on the kids. I think that it eased their stress, simply because they knew what was going on. Your child showed just how much a child can comprehend and relate to things that are not good, and therefore be accepting...
  4. Water retention. Are you drinking enough water to keep your system cool and flushed? Maybe cut back on sodas, they have sodium.
  5. This is an excellent idea! Thanks!!
  6. It took 4 weeks before I saw any loss. Now I lose a pound or two every week. I know it is slow, but I am changing how I eat and what I think and do, so it will be permanent.
  7. Low fat diet=depression and constipation for me.
  8. I think they come out about the same. What is happening is that you are exercising, and slowly building muscle. Keep it up, the weight will continue to come off. Keep in mind that you are building muscle while burning fat, so there will be plateaux. At those times, you are building and burning at the same rate. Just stay with it!
  9. It's always scary until it is over, then you wonder what you were so afraid of! I do hope you get definitive results.
  10. Shame on you!!! We have told you repeatedly what we would do, including firing your apparently worthless lawyer. In my email response to you, I inadvertently mixed up Tavi and 2kids4me, but in rereading the thread, I still don't see your answers to their questions. CPS would not just come in and take your kids when you are trying to get them diagnosed...
  11. You've done a gluten challenge, and now you know for sure. Stop the gluten, and you'll get better. Your kids will survive a day or two of chocolate bars for breakfast!
  12. There is too much about this thread that is not making sense. I am going to risk putting my foot in my mouth and say that the power blinking came at a convenient time, and the lack of answers the next day are quite suspicious. My mom kept trying to take my kids from me using CPS in Arkansas, so I have been on GcBec's end, but I learned through my trials...
  13. Even one positive result is still a positive result. Why do you need a doctor to do more tests? Try the gluten-free diet for 6 weeks, then evaluate how you feel.
  14. I now carry a fairly large purse with several large pockets. One pocket has my wallet and checkbook, one has my planner, and one has several ziplock baggies. One baggie has a trash bag, one has baby wipes, and one has clean panties! It still takes me a while to clean up after an accident, but I am able to do so!
  15. We like to hear when good things happen! Thanks for sharing your wonderful day with us!
  16. My physical therapist taught me this: pinch the flesh between your first finger and thumb with your other hand (thumb on top, finger on palm). If it hurts, hold it for a few minutes, then do the other side. Repeat several times. Your headache should start letting up. I was skeptical until my headache went away without drugs! It does not work on my migraines...
  17. Here is a link to one of the many threads we have going: Open Original Shared Link It is my favorite, probably because I started it!!
  18. It sounds to me like your lawyer is just sitting on his glutes drawing pay. Fire him, get one that will work for YOU, not your opponent.
  19. If you ate an avocado recently, then yes, you can expect green poop. Also if you eat spinach or romaine lettuce. Im sorry you're having such a hard time!
  20. I had to quit baking gluten-free goodies, and not buy any chocolate or candies. If it is gluten-free and in the house, I will eat it. I have 70+ pounds to go, and am trying to relearn eating habits. As far as cravings go, if I am willing to walk a mile to the nearest store, then walk a mile back in 100 degree heat, then I will get it. Usually, I decide...
  21. And how much money did you have to pay to learn what you already knew?!?
  22. Yep, I was 95 pounds overweight when I was biopsy diagnosed. Now I am 78 pounds over, and struggling to lose it.
  23. I went to the company history pages on their website: Open Original Shared Link and found that they did not sell out. They did change leadership and sell a few brands. Their new email response is probably a cya response thought up by lawyers.
  24. The only problem I see with it is that it is another expensive pill I would have to take for the rest of my life. I prefer to just stay on the diet, it really is better for me.
  25. So that's how it's done! Thanks for the info!
