In my spare time I like to play scrabble online. So addictive. My favorite thing to eat is ice cream. I also love coffee. I work across the street from a Tim Hortons! I am a drive-in bank teller.

The tingling is happening less. My itching has went away. You could always try the gluten free diet to see if it helps. Good luck -
ARCHIVED Looking For Opinions On My Symptoms
wowzer replied to chefling's topic in Celiac Disease Pre-Diagnosis, Testing & Symptoms
I know that floaty stools are a sign of celiac. I grew up with a little sister that was diagnosed at a year. It as a genetic disease, but many people go undiagnosed. I'm sure many people with IBS are really celiac. I'm 52 now and finally decided my itching could be DH. My blood test came back negative, but even before the diet, I was semiconsciously... -

ARCHIVED This Is So Frustrating
wowzer replied to wowzer's topic in Celiac Disease Pre-Diagnosis, Testing & Symptoms
Thanks for your input, my blood pressure is fine. I know some of my itching is due to dry skin. I'm being careful with the products that I come in contact with. The stiffness is in my hands and feet. I have had many improvements since I started the gluten free diet the first of the year. I was having trouble sleeping for one. In the last week, I am... -
Thank you both of you for your input. I keep trying to explain to doctors, that I think I have DH, but they don't really agree. My family doctor did give me the celiac blood panel, but it came out negative. When I think about it, I subconsciously had been avoiding gluten for a long time. I was a cookie freak, would buy a package eat one and end up throwing...

ARCHIVED This Is So Frustrating
wowzer posted a topic in Celiac Disease Pre-Diagnosis, Testing & Symptoms
I finally noticed in the last week that I can sleep for eight hours or longer, but when I get up I am in so much pain. For some reason my hands and feet are so stiff. I used to take Mobic, but when it when generic I seemed to react so quit taking it 4 months ago. I started the gluten free diet the first of the year. It has helped me in many ways. The... -
Interesting post. I didn't realize that body temperature had anything to do with thyroid. I tend to always have a below normal temperature. Never dreamed it could be from my thyroid. I started taking synthroid years ago because I had a goiter. It did shrink it and I have been on the same dose forever now. Thanks for the interesting post.

ARCHIVED My Symptoms-- Help With Some Questions
wowzer replied to Sunrunner's topic in Celiac Disease Pre-Diagnosis, Testing & Symptoms
Interesting symptoms you have. First I've heard of them, but I've only been gluten free for 5 weeks. I did used to have the brain fog and having trouble with my eyes focusing. I've had the blood test that came out negative. It could be since you aren't ingesting gluten or casein that your symptoms went away. I keep reading about symptoms that I never... -
ARCHIVED Bath & Body Works
wowzer posted a topic in Gluten-Free Foods, Products, Shopping & Medications
Does anyone know what Bath & Body Works products that are gluten free. Some of the labels are really hard to read what is in them. -
I've been gluten free for 5 weeks now. I have always had a hard time going to sleep and staying asleep. Finally in the last week I'm sleeping better and having trouble waking up. I find if I wait until my body is ready to go to sleep, when I go to bed I usually go to sleep. I know it is frustrating.

ARCHIVED Finely Ground Brown Rice Flour
wowzer replied to Fiddle-Faddle's topic in Gluten-Free Foods, Products, Shopping & Medications
You may want to try a health food store. The one by me mainly carries vitamins, but they have a flour aisle. It has been the cheapest place I've found so far to buy brown rice flour. I'm in Michigan. -
ARCHIVED Monistat?
wowzer replied to LLatham's topic in Gluten-Free Foods, Products, Shopping & Medications
I'm not sure about Monistat? If you bought it over the counter, there should be a phone number you could call to find out. I had bought a store brand and called the company to find out if it had gluten. They told me you should call every time to make sure. I guess there could be a possibility of it containing gluten. Good luck. -
ARCHIVED Thyroid Getting Worse
wowzer replied to super-sally888's topic in Related Issues & Disorders
I've been taking synthroid for years. I see all the numbers from their labs. I'm trying to make sense of them. I happened to have my thyroid tested when I had my celiac blood panel. I asked for a copy because I just couldn't believe it came out negative. It says my TSH is 0.332L and T4 is 9.3. I guess it will be interesting to see if anything changes... -

wowzer replied to AmandaD's topic in Gluten-Free Foods, Products, Shopping & Medications
I've been using ST.Ives Extreme Relief Intensive Healing Advanced Therapy Lotion. (Unscented . Hypo-Allergenic) It is one of the few lotions that feels soothing to me. Early I had posted a reply that I had received from St. Ives that listed all their products that contain gluten and this WAS NOT on that list. -

ARCHIVED It's Feeling Better The Best Way To Go?
wowzer replied to alissa's topic in Coping with Celiac Disease
Alissa, I'm with you. If you are gluten free and feel better, then why would you eat it? I grew up with a little sister that was diagnosed with celiac at a year old. I'm still trying to figure out if I am. My blood test came back negative. I have had many bouts of strange rashes over the years and I'm wondering if it might be DH. I finally went on the... -

ARCHIVED How To Teach Family Members About Gluton Intollerance?
wowzer replied to a topic in Coping with Celiac Disease
That has been the challenging part for me. My husband doesn't believe that I could have celiac disease. I do have a little sister with it. When I tried to explain the toaster, he figured I was going too far. I've only been gluten free since the beginning of the year. I have had many improvements on the diet. I do feel I'm more sensitive to gluten now...
