  1. I use a variety of flavors as well and have never had an issue. Do you have anyone in your house who eats gluten? Maybe they dipped a gluten product in your cream cheese? Its happened to me!
  2. That guy is a total creep. I had to stop reading because I was getting ready to post something pretty fierce.
  3. The Peppermint mocha and peppermint hot chocolate are both free of gluten ingredients in the US. That's not to say that cross contamination or anything else you might put into the drink is safe! I think it's split down the middle on Starbucks here in the US, I believe you're in Canada based on another thread so I can't comment on that!
  4. Neither the candy cane nor the irish cream kisses actually have gluten in them. Cross contamination might be an issue but the ingrediants do not contain gluten! hope this helps!
  5. well I was pretty mad!!! but after her response and her offer for free cookies I felt badly for coming across as a jerk
  6. well now I feel bad. I am very sorry for the delay in my reply. I just checked our spam folder online and found your first email. Please accept our apologies for any inconvenience you may have been caused and thank you so much for taking the time to email us. I would like to also thank you for purchasing our cookies. I am very sorry you did not have...
  7. I just sent them another email letting them know how disappointed I was in their lack of response and that I couldn't justify supporting their product if they couldn't bother responding to those loyal to them. I imagine I came across as a B word.
  8. They were Aleia's Almond Horn Cookies.
  9. My friend had a recent experience with Cheesecake Factory that was not gluten related. They served his wife shards of glass in her food, but still made him pay for it and didn't comp him anything. He's contacted corproate three times and they have not responded. Gluten free status aside, this doesn't seem like a place I'd want to eat in general! ...
  10. If you're really worried about it just wipe it down before you put your food in, sometimes things explode! But you really should be fine, I've never had anything drip into my food from the top of the microwave (the thought just made me gag a bit). Definitely be wary of the buttons and handles though, I wipe those with little clorox wipes all the time!
  11. I guess it depends on what bar you're hanging out in. I've known some dives to be pretty dirty and full of lazy bartenders (i may or may not have been one of them in college, i plead the fifth). I of course would never not wash a plate or a glass appropriately, the thought makes me gag, but it wouldn't surprise me if it happened at some joints.
  12. I'd avoid wood utensils and get your own cutting board for sure but your pots and pans should be fine as long as you clean them well enough. I always use foil over a pan just to be safe. I agree that a cast iron pan is pretty hard to clean, same with a wok...so if you want one of those, have a dedicated one. I tend to get a bit lazy when it comes...
  13. Can you guys just make me some and mail them to me? I'm way to lazy to make this receipe on my own, I feel like making pretzels would take forever.
  14. I appreciate your posting these e-mails for sure, as it clears up the "urban legend" thoughts. However, I'm a pretty sensitive (moreso as I get older apparently) Celiac and have never had issue with wine. I'm not sure how reasonable it is to assume that any "glue" or "paste" could get into the wine but I'm not a wine maker so I don't know! I agree with...
  15. So now I'm mad. The company hasn't responded to two e-mails about the situation. That's just poor customer service and quite frankly, I'm not sure I'll be purchasing their product again!
  16. Udi's makes me violently ill but these other products I handle with no issue. It's a confusing process sometimes
  17. These kisses do not have gluten ingrediants in them. I'm not sure your glutening was coming from these!
  18. Both of these items do not have gluten ingrediants in them.
  19. I returned them to the store and they refunded me my money and were really apologetic. I told them that I obviously didn't blame them but when something is $8.99 you can't just waste that type of money, especailly on cookies! I emailed the company the day it happened and have heard nothing back from them yet, which is really disappointing. I know that companies...
  20. We used to do the same thing with the Bugles!! Too funny
  21. I always bring my own food to share and not to share to keep wandering dirty fingers away. Thankfully, my little family members don't stick icky fingers in my mouth...I'd bite them (kidding kidding)
  22. I'm starting to realize that I can't have Teff Flour without it making me have some delightful bathroom experiences. It's not a gluten pain like I get in my stomach but it is an immediate "go not pass go, do not collect $200" emergency.
  23. As annoying and sometimes surprisingly painful a papercut may be, you're not at risk for glutening yourself by one. Here's hoping you heal safely!
  24. Thanks! I figured as much. The first thing I did was look on their site to see if they had the same recipes with no luck unfortunately. I'll post if the company responds!
  25. I've also never heard any issues with laundry. I suppose it depends on how messy your gluten eating household members are though
