I've actually heard quite recently that the CPK's gluten free menu is misleading...I Saw this article from the Gluten Free Girl blog that I follow. Open Original Shared Link Apparently their Director of Culinary Devlopment has also said that CPK's Gluten Free pizza is NOT meant for people with celiac disease, but for people who choose not to eat gluten...

ARCHIVED Citracal Calcium Gummis
modiddly16 posted a topic in Gluten-Free Foods, Products, Shopping & Medications
I started taking Citracal Calcium Gummi's to get some extra calcium in my life and I swear within a half an hour, I'm going to the bathroom...and then do so at least 3 more times in the moring. It says Contains no: milk, eggs, peanuts, tree nuts, soy or wheat (gluten). It does contain tricalcium phosphate , corn syrup, sucrose, water, sodium citrate... -
ARCHIVED Am Sick From Texas Roadhouse
modiddly16 replied to JoyVertz's topic in Gluten-Free Restaurants
I thought that Texas Roadhouse did away with their "gluten free" menu? -
ARCHIVED Does Anyone Know What Ppm Udi's Products Tests At?
modiddly16 replied to shayre's topic in Gluten-Free Foods, Products, Shopping & Medications
I'm one of those people who cannot tolerate Udi's. I can't have Oats either so I can't speak to their granola but I'm not a terribly sensitive celiac either however, Udi's just royally crushes me. My fiancee who is NOT gluten free had emergency bathroom visits with udi's also, which was suspect. I honestly think its too much xanathan gum for me or the... -
ARCHIVED What If My Chicken Eats Wheat?
modiddly16 replied to missingtortillas's topic in Gluten-Free Foods, Products, Shopping & Medications
My thoughts on this are that people are crazy. There is a woman at my fiancee's work who told him that her daughter was a celiac but Jesus healed her and that I should go to church more if I want to be healed. -
ARCHIVED Are These Normal Reactions To Gluten-Free Diet?
modiddly16 replied to dploy's topic in Post Diagnosis, Recovery & Treatment of Celiac Disease
I've had problems with your third point also since being gluten free, but more so in the last year. Turns out, it was due to a freakishly low level of b12's in my body. I've been on the shots for 5 months and am just starting to feel normal! -
ARCHIVED Change In Alexia Frozen Potato And Sweet Potato Products
modiddly16 replied to T.H.'s topic in Gluten-Free Foods, Products, Shopping & Medications
I eat Ore-Ida all the time and Alexia and have never had a gluten reaction to them. Some people on here have issues with potatoes and also too much xanathan gum can cause a gluten reaction (in non gluten people too!) maybe something else got you? -
ARCHIVED Why Would Rice Chex Make My Mouth Burn?
modiddly16 replied to kagm's topic in Post Diagnosis, Recovery & Treatment of Celiac Disease
I've never heard of a prodcut claiming to be gluten free that has wheat in it, do you have any examples? I have heard of a product that can claim to be wheat free but isn't gluten free but never the other way around. -
ARCHIVED Lack Of B12 Responsible For Low Energy?
modiddly16 replied to speedy2056's topic in Coping with Celiac Disease
I get B12 shots and take suppliments, it took awhile to figure out but after 7 years being gluten free this year has been a hard one for me. I've been sick, as if I'm eating gluten, yet am not having issues with any other intolerences, it was almost like I was just always sick. Finally, my GI realized that my b12's were "freakishly low" which is why I was... -
The ingrediants are gluten free, however, there's always a chance of cross contamination if you're sensitive to that. I've eaten them with no issues but the ingrediants are safe. I hope you feel better!

ARCHIVED Not Sure If It's Gluten Or Something Else
modiddly16 replied to Mummyto3's topic in Coping with Celiac Disease
I'm not aware of anything that's really safe for us at KFC, even their grilled chicken is made in flour! Glad you're feeling better. -
ARCHIVED Gluten-Free Rice Krispies
modiddly16 replied to killernj13's topic in Gluten-Free Foods, Products, Shopping & Medications
I found them at Lowe's foods in South Carolina. They definitely snap crackle and pop but I found them to get mushy a lot faster than regular ones, nonetheless, they still tasted the same! Which made me question why not just remove the malt flavoring from all of the Rice Krispies! -
ARCHIVED Looking For Good gluten-free Mac N Cheese And Spaghetti O's For Kids
modiddly16 replied to shayre's topic in Gluten-Free Foods, Products, Shopping & Medications
I honestly live off of Pastariso Dolphin Rice Gluten-Free Macaroni and Cheese....I LOVE IT. -
I eat the Carmel filled ones frequently and haven't ever had any issues!

I can't eat Udi's or Teff. My finacee and I (my fiancee is a gluten eating fiend) both had bathroom emergencies while eating Udi's, so I think the laxative effect definitely took toll on our household. I also tried the Teff Flour wraps and had a similar reaction...so I sadly avoid them all!

ARCHIVED Sandals Royal Bahamian Resort
modiddly16 replied to Gfreeatx's topic in Traveling with Celiac Disease
Thank you so much for posting this! We're going to the Sandals Royal Carribbean for our honeymoon in October and after asking a few times on this site, I hadn't gotten much response. This makes me feel much better about the trip! -
ARCHIVED Glutened By White Wine - Really?
modiddly16 replied to ndw3363's topic in Gluten-Free Foods, Products, Shopping & Medications
I still think that wheat paste thing is a myth, it really doesn't contaminate the wine, I've talked to wine makers at length about that kind of stuff because I live in an area where there are a lot of wineries. I do know that some celiacs have trouble with the sulfites in wine, maybe that could've caused a reaction? Granted I don't know much about that particular... -
ARCHIVED B12 Deficiency Anemia?

ARCHIVED B12 Deficiency Anemia?
modiddly16 replied to HopefulMama23's topic in Coping with Celiac Disease
I get b12 shots and have been for the last 5 months, I've been a celiac for over 7 years and it took a long time for it to finally get noticed, based on my symptoms I was still having a lot of celiac seeming reactions, but following the strict diet. In the 5 months, I've seen a boost in my energy and less pep in my step to the bathroom . "Normal" levels... -
ARCHIVED Udi's Hamburger Buns - Possible Recall
modiddly16 replied to Kate79's topic in Gluten-Free Foods, Products, Shopping & Medications
Whether or not the source of that post is actually from Udi's...isn't Udi's a gluten-free bakery? If its a gluten issue that would mess up their status with that. Maybe I'm wrong though. -
ARCHIVED Six Flags - St. Louis
modiddly16 replied to CeliacMom2008's topic in Traveling with Celiac Disease
Hersheypark probably is one of the best themeparks for gluten free options. We went last weekend with our family and there were gluten free wraps, buns, pizza and chicken fingers! It takes awhile longer to cook them than the normal food but none of us got sick! -
ARCHIVED Products Question
modiddly16 replied to modiddly16's topic in Gluten-Free Foods, Products, Shopping & Medications
I might have to give Udi's a try on a weekend when I don't have much going on. The last few times I ate them, they made me incredibly sick..but I'm not sure if it was them or if I was just "off".
