  1. There isn't much gluten free at Taco Bell as it stands...I'd probably find another dining option!
  2. I have BCBS and have never had any issues in regards to getting coverage for something celiac related.
  3. We just made it last night for the first time. It was awesome. A quinoa stir fry... we cut up a sweet potato and cooked that, then cooked some chicken and mixed it with the quinoa, green pepper, peas, cumin and garlic. It was suprisingly good!
  4. I honestly thought it was the best pasta that I've had. It tasted completely normal and cooked very well. I like Tinkyada but sometimes it can get really slimey. Jovial has my vote for sure, but you're right about the price!
  5. I use this all the time and have had no issues. I have a relationship with people who work for the company and they've always assured me that the ingrediants are fine!
  6. based on the ingredients they are! there is always a chance for cross contamination however.
  7. No one attacked you. You just came here and claimed that something wasn't gluten free without even giving any facts as to why you felt that way, no mention of flavor or any other items you ate that day. People on the board will help you but you have to understand that there is a lot of incorrect information on here and the people who responded to your post...
  8. I had the same issue with my b12, I was at 50.....50!?!?! and normal is between 200-900....I've been on the shot for 6 months and still i'm only at 190. I'd definitely start talking to them about the shot and maybe even get some over the counter b12 pills. You'll be surprised how quickly you start to feel better after you start the shots, but since I'm...
  9. KFC's grilled chicken is actually also dusted in flour before grilled, so its MUCH more than the tongs unfortunately!
  10. I'm usually VERY cautious and strict...so it's truly a defeating feeling when you gluten yourself because you go too comfortable. I finished my third bottle (not all at once but a few times over the last few months) of Raspberry Sparkltini. Would you believe this WHOLE time (we're talking a few years) I thought it was champagne. So imagine my surprise...
  11. I second that. NYC is an AWESOME place for celiacs. There are so many more options than I think you even realize! Do a google search, or search this site. Definitely bring snacks in case you need something quick but definitely don't let celiac deter you from coming to NYC!
  12. Some people just like diet soda better than regular It doesn't annoy me too much but I did have a situation in college when it bothered me. I had just gone gluten free and that's when they were pushing hard the mindset that if I continued eating like I was, I'd do damage that could eventually lead to stomach cancer. I took that pretty seriously, among...
  13. I forget the brad but I remember very recently seeing a corn tortilla that said contained wheat as well! I stood dumbfounded in the store for a little bit. The package had the brand written in cursive but I cannot for the life of me remember!
  14. I've torn my rotator but I was a pitcher...so its a sports injury that happened prior to diagnosis!
  15. Barley is not safe for celiacs, as it is a source of gluten. You might not be having an external reaction but I assure you that you're causing damage internally. Corona is NOT gluten free.
  16. I'd imagine you're getting sick from cross contamination of the McFlurry machine. Just because the flavor you got is considered gluten free doesn't mean that the blender was cleaned properly after a non-gluten free one was made. You can ask them to clean it for you and explain your situation, if they're not crazy busy or just stick to a plan cup of ice...
  17. I've never had any issues with Burts Bees, I don't have DH...just plain old celaic, I think it's safe!
  18. I have the Cake Doctor gluten free book and it is AMAZING!
  19. Nice! I'll be trying this on the weekend. Thanks for posting. I love experimenting...I just am so bad at it
  20. I'm one of those who love gluten-free Bisquick, everything that I've made with it has been delicious! Different strokes for different folks I reckon! I haven't tried Better Batter but have heard people rave about it as well, so I'm going to order some!
  21. I sure can't, which is a bummer because I used to love oatmeal. I found out from those delicious oatmeal raisin gluten free cookies, which then brought me to test out actual oatmeal and it wasn't pleasant!
  22. I've never had issue with corn on the cob but know several people who do. If you're really unsure of what the cause might've been and you wanted to test the waters...moniter your eating for a few days and try having the corn again, if you feel the same way then you have your culprit. However, if you don't want to deal with feeling that way again and you're...
  23. My body can't handle coffee...but the only other issue I have with caffeine is that I can't get enough of it! I've heard of a lot of people on this board who struggle with excessive (sometimes even normal) amounts. Have you been able to pinpoint a certain product which causes a rash or is it just whenever you have any caffeine or chocolate?
  24. I've seen those rolls at the Hunt Valley MD Wegman's, but its been awhile.
  25. See, I'd do it because I don't suffer from seizures or anything that severe. I've been a celiac for 7 years now and on my worst glutening I deal with severe abdominal pain and D but no seizures. If I had that type of reaction, I wouldn't do it either!
