  1. Thanks, I may take you up on that!
  2. That is SOOO funny. I try to write all of our experiences down so I never forget. They say the funniest things! I don't know if you want me to share or not, but this happened to us about 3 weeks ago: Picture the innocence of 6 year olds and a loud 2 year old: We were on a field trip at the zoo, I had 3 6 y/o girls with me: Madeleine, Kennedy...
  3. That cake looks amazing!! Let me know how it turns out-waaaayyy out of my league . I would go ahead and use the pamela's, don't over beat the mix and maybe bake a little longer to ensure the middle is totally done. Then if it falls, just cut each layer and fill the extra layer....
  4. I would at least call the farm or wherever the hay is and ask them what they use. Then you can decide from there. It varies from place to place.
  5. It is gluten-free, but you risk cc because they blend all the frapps in the same blenders and not all the frapps are gluten-free.
  6. Not here, dd went in hay maze and climbed all over the hay bales Halloween 2 years ago, came home with hay sticking out of her pockets and pants cuffs, complaining of a stomachache and vomitted all night long. Going over her food that day, there was NO way it was food. I called the farm she was at and they indeed used wheat bales--we are (were) in wheat...
  7. Transparent Facial Bars- All (Favorite-smells like men's deoderant but works great)-(dd) Alcohol-Free Toner-(dd) Body Clear Body Wash Oil Free Acne Wash Daily Scrub (me-not dd) Rapid Clear Gel (me again, but haven't needed it since switching to EM makeup!!) Hand Cream- the Norwegian formula is all we use in the winter for dried/chapped hands, lips...
  8. From an email to the company: Thank you for contacting Neutrogena
  9. I have found that local health food stores and even some Whole Foods have nutritionists/dietiticans who work for the store. Here we have New Season's Market and you can make appt's with them and they will take you around the store themselves. They seem to be very knowledgable on Celiac Disease and some even have classes you can take with a tour of the store...
  10. We use a lot of Neutrogena products. I go off of the gluten-free list they have. We use shampoo, conditioner, soaps, cleansers, lotions, creams, lip gloss, etc.... We've never had a problem, and since we've been using it, my dd's mysterious sebacious cysts on her face have disappeared.
  11. Dr. Char Glenn @ Nob Hill Internal Medicine Clinic. She specializes in adult Celiac disease and nutrition--she's a primary care doc. I really like her and she spend a lot of time with you. 503 274-9818 Open Original Shared Link
  12. My dd gets crampy and has d within minutes of eating gluten, but my son has a reaction about 24 hours later, with d and he becomes a raging lunatic, drop down, drag out tantrums and fits---we were in the midst of one all day today I seems to be different with each person. Oh, and my dh who still doesn't think he has a gluten issue, has a reaction within...
  13. Hi Jenny! I've never had an issue with the Pamela's mix. For me, I get regular sized fluffy cakes. Do you have a thermometer in your oven? I'm wondering if it's the oven... My only suggestion is to cut each cake in half and fill them--so you'd have 3 filled layers plus the frosting. It would definitely increase the size of the cake and look impressive...
  14. I also have a bunch of ELF stuff that's untouched if anyone wants that to trade. I'm new to the EM makeup and am getting rid of everything else!
  15. That's what I was told before, and basically stay away from the frapps altogether because of the cc risk. Also, their egg nog contains some wheat, so it's not safe. All the syrups are safe though.
  16. Next week she wants to "travel" to China. Her best friend is from there, so that helped her decision. After that, I'm going to have her pick somewhere totally new. It's working out really great and they're having fun with it.
  17. I just have some samples-nothing to trade, but I love the bronzer, I can buy it from you.
  18. Our menus were getting a bit stale, same things keep popping up on our plates every week. I had a thought, I gave my dd the globe, told her to pick a country (we will do this on Sundays and cook on Mondays). Then we researched the country and the traditional foods from that country. I picked a traditional main dish, side and dessert that incorporated new...
  19. We buy the Jimmy Dean turkey ones from Cosco, they're actually really good. See this and pick Jimmy Dean: Open Original Shared Link
  20. It's called EVERYDAY Bronzer. I put it on T-zone under the foundation and a little on the cheeks instead of blush, gives a soft sun-kissed glow without the shiny.
  21. It was in the blush selection-just called bronzer. I tried to get on the website to find out exactly, but the site won't open for some reason. I'll keep trying and see if I can get any more info...
  22. I use this for my chicken and shrimp-I'm obsessed with it Dip in: beaten egg almond flour beaten egg shredded (unsweetened) coconut Bake and devour! It's even good cold the next day on a salad with honey mustard dressing
  23. After reading a bunch of these posts and having an issue with Cover Girl/P&G, I went online Thursday and put in my order for my free kit--I got it on Saturday!!!! I am now an EM fan. The 1st color I picked for my foundation was PERFECT, the bronzer gives just the right amount of color and the concealer (I used wet) exceeded my expectations-I have naturally...
  24. We eat the Bob's gluten-free oats (reg & steel cut) frequently. We didn't have much of an issue because the kids have a pretty high fiber diet anyway. My dd's fav is still the Mighty Tasty gluten-free hot cereal from Bob's.
  25. Our dd was 4 when she was diagnosed and was growing totally normal for her age up until that year, our son, however was always in the 10th percentile and at age 31mo was 26# and still only wore a size 5 (infant) shoe. 3 weeks gluten-free and he gained 3#, 1 week back on gluten and he lost 1.5#. It's been almost 4 months gluten-free now and he's about 3...
