  1. Hi, I am seeing a dermatologist next week about a mole. Since I will be there already I want to have him look at my rash on my hands. It is DEFINATELY food intolerance related. When I do not eat any wheat, it goes away. When I eat wheat, it comes back. It was diagnosed as dyshidrotic eczema. This is a fluid filled tiny blister rash on hands and feet...
  2. hi, when my son was a baby he cried from the get go. I stopped eating dairy. He got better, but still cried. At one month he had turned yellow The pedietritions said he was ok, not too yellow yet. I saw a naturopathic doctor. I knew I had food issues, so maybe he did too. I stopped eating: tomatoes and their products, pinto beans, peanuts, and...
  3. Oh my gosh! I looked like that at least once a year as a kid. Everyone thought I was allergic to poison ivy. I think it was at least once, but sometimes I would get it and we thought I got it off the wind!!!
  4. Hi, I read this yesterday! Thanks for putting it up for others. It brings out the science geek in me!
  5. hi. I just got my results on monday. It took 19 days from when they got it. They had the results Friday I bet, because I got them early monday morning. It was a long weekend of waiting. Hopefully you'll get yours earlier. I have twins too! My son and daughter will be 7 on Friday!
  6. Hey, thanks for the advice. What does the cast iron look like when it came out of the self cleaning oven? I am trying to figure out if it is clean enough. Thanks.
  7. Hey, I have a very large cast iron collection. Some of which I am emotionally attacheded to(I am not emotionally attached to things often). I have done reading and know that cast iron is porous. I know some people just replaced their cast iron. My question is for those who kept their cast iron pans. After you stripped the season off, what did the cast...
  8. Hi, Recently my close friend was telling me about diabetes. He has it. He said that diabetics are much more likely to get frozen sholulder. Also that it takes someone longer with diabetes to heal from frozen shoulder. Have you been tested for diabetes? I would consider it if you haven't. I do think this could be connected to gluten intolerance...
  9. VioletBlue, I feel that way too. As a child my friends called me moody. I have been dealing with this for 22 years!!! I don't really know who I am entirely without out being poisoned. I guess time will tell. I'm okay with it as long as it keeps getting better. I have only been gluten free for 7 weeks, but I can already tell the difference during...
  10. Hi, Healing can take a while. If you noticed improvement that's great, but realize it may take awhile. Two weeks is not long enough. There are specific blood tests that doctors can order and a biopsy that a GI can do. someone else would have more info on that than me. However, there are people who test negative on blood test and their biopsy shows...
  11. I am sorry for your frustration. You have arrived at a good place. Welcome. Were you diagnosed with Celiac Disease? If you were, this is lifelong. I am sorry if this upsets you. There are many wonderful people here willing to help you figure it all out. There are also books, magazines, etc. This is where the real experts are- the ones who are living...
  12. hi, Three days is not long enough to tell one way or another. Just stick with the diet and throw out that wooden spoon if you used it with gluten pasta. I feel your frustration. Just so you know, there are people who have had negative biopsy. If it is taken from a spot with no damage, you could still have it somewhere else. I have had some of your...
  13. What if your oven doesn't have a self cleaning option? My does not. I like the idea of paper. I have a stone pizza stone and a ceramic one. The stone is very absorbant. Does ceramic absorb gluten? I also am wondering about my cast iron. I have a large collection, they are the only skillets and muffin pans I own. Has any one had luck cleaning them...
  14. My son gets terrible leg pains. I think they are probably dietary(he is not gluten free yet) and vitamin related. I don't believe in growing pains, BUT the medical field says growing pains NEVER happen during the day. That is a definate sign of more. Even they realize it shouldn't happen during the day, but I think it shouldn't happen at all. When...
  15. I just looked at this book at the store yesterday. It said meat was neutral for me, but I had a reallly hard time digesting beef and pork. I haven't eaten them in 13 years and haven't had the same horrible symptoms. It seemed really accurate for my husband though
  16. cheryl, hi. Is your son currently off all gluten, or just wheat? I couldn't tell from your answer. I was off wheat for years, which got rid of my rashes. The gluten I ingested from other foods was still hurting me though. My daugher doesn't have digestive symptoms, but gets so mad sometimes, and upset. she doesn't grow and has mouth sores. So I am...
  17. No matter how much I washed and applied deoderant, the horrible odor was still there. When your body is full of toxins, this is typical. NuGluGirl, Wow, is that true? I attributed that to hormones!! I am very hormonal person, and while pregnant and pregnant my oder would be sooo strong(which is normal). Definately want to know more. I wash my armpits...

  19. kenlove, I love hawaii, not so fond of the chickens. It is one place I feel like I have come home at. I have spent most of my time on the big island in the puna district. Missing it I don't "Farm", but I do have a 1/2 acre garden. I have a small orchard, berries, veggies. I also have a flower garden too. I did all my own landscaping. I love...
  20. Thanks for the advice/ opinions. My rash is not bad, just interesting that it has reappeared. In the past I had it so horrible I could only use my thumb and first finger on my right hand. The rest of the hand was bad. It also got infected with staph and strep at the same time. Thanks again.
  21. Hello, I have heard of iodine being a problem for gluten intolerant rashes . Would love to hear other people's opinions and experience. I recently bought new gluten free vitamins that have iodine from kelp worth 150% daily value of iodine. I don't use salt, except to make pickles. I am wondering if I need to watch this. I have only been gluten free...

  24. HI. It's only been a few weeks for me. I have had improvements too, so I am sticking with it.
