agreed, we have had people who worked in bakeries, and had trouble with skin contact and breathing in wheat flour.

I don’t think you have anything to worry about here.

Too much worrying and stress might be a bigger concern here. 😉 you haven’t mentioned what you would be using this towel for…

You may want to just do one at a time and see if you can find the culprit. PS - While you are recovering from celiac disease you likely have leaky gut syndrome, which can cause temporary food intolerance/sensitivity issues. These may go away after you fully recover. -

Do you eat oats? About 9% of celiacs cannot tolerate oats. You may want to keep a food diary and cut out things like dairy, eggs, corn, etc., and see if it helps. -

That is strange, and it sounds like some sort of allergy rather than dermatitis herpetiformis, which is the skin condition associated with celiac disease. Did you add new things to your diet after going gluten-free, and are you sure your diet is 100% gluten-free? One idea is that maybe you have an allergy to some new food you introduced after going... -

You can search any prescription drug here, and find the maker, then see all ingredients: https://dailymed.nlm.nih.gov/dailymed/ -
Here are some studies I found for the general accuracy of the DGP tests, and some deal with kids as well: https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/22266486/ https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/20171961/ https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/17683995/ https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/35903491/ https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/18724250/ https...

I doubt it, were you planning to put the towel in your mouth after this happened? It seems very unlikely...

It's a pretty small study, but a positive result, in my opinion, is still indicating gluten sensitivity. It's pretty well known that kids are much harder to diagnose, as their healing abilities are much greater than adults. I would also add that dozens of other studies show a much higher rate of prediction, and I've never seen a study where DPG scored...

A positive biopsy for celiac disease + a positive TTG test of 10 over the limit is almost certainly celiac disease...that is, unless you are in denial. 😗 The odds of having both and not having celiac disease are actually very small indeed...this is only for the IgA version, but: -
The article below has more info about the DGP-IgG blood test for celiac disease. The odds are that the child may have celiac disease, and you may want to consider an endoscopy to confirm this. If the biopsy were negative it could still indicate non-celiac gluten sensitivity, but the child definitely has an abnormal autoimmune response to gluten:

I agree but the issue is that very few people get this type of follow up care, and most celiacs have little or no symptoms, so it's very rare to know for sure how such repeated gluten exposure will affect you. Overall it's better being safe than sorry, and even if your aunt's villi are not being damaged it does not mean that her exposure still won't cause... -

Regarding the black vinegar, just make sure it isn't vinegar that is fermented with wheat or barley. Distilled vinegars should be safe. -
I understand your position, and the main reason I have some tenacity on this particular topic is simply because McDonald's is the largest restaurant in the world, and it's very important for celiacs, especially those who travel, to have some safe options. You've brought up very valid concerns here, and I've learned something as well, but the main thing I...

Are you still eating gluten each day? Have you had a blood test for celiac disease? I assume you posted on this forum because you suspect that you may have issues with gluten is that correct? -
Give me all the Giardia information.
Scott Adams replied to Chellalee76's topic in Related Issues & Disorders
I know that you've seen this abstract from your other post here: https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/29911457/ so it is possible that having active giardia could create a positive tTg celiac antibody test result, but the question is, do you still have active giardia, and if so could it be causing all of your typical celiac disease-related symptoms? To answer... -

Unfortunately we could not get a copy of the full study. -
In defense of the company I just want to add that it's important to mention here again that no testing has shown that there is any gluten in it, and it is too bad you don't have a Nima device to test for it. Is it possible they got a batch that was contaminated somehow--yes, but this would not mean that there is someone intentionally lacing their coffee with...
