  1. Good news...Tyson sent a truck load of chicken to the big city (an hour from us). 31,000 lbs. of chicken to divide between 3 local charities. One truck of many across the nation. I give thanks to Tyson!!! The truck came from Arkansas all the way to Idaho. That's a huge donation plus all the expenses they had to pay out in order to donate their chicken! Tyson...

  6. I'm so sorry...we live in the mtns but our power only goes off for a day. I am trying to think. Can you buy a propane bottle stove with 1 burner to cook on? Peanut butter on gluten-free cookies, chips and refried beans. Ask the neighbors if you can use their means of cooking. Any Farmer's Markets?? Any camping type stores to get back packing food like...

  8. Yep...Karina from gluten-free goddess uses it so I thought I'd try it too! My oily experience... I made egg free/gluten-free/dairy free choc chippers and they turned out great except they didn't spread out much. Then I made egg free/ dairy free/ GLUTEN choc chippers and they were way too oily. I had to add more ingredients but not the oil, then the cookies...

  12. My sis had a partial hysterectomy that wasn't really needed but the doc talked her into it. As she was leaving the office she over heard her doc tell someone, "Jamaica, here I come!" He cared more about his vacation than her health. So sorry you have to go through so much!

  16. I tried the following recipe but I need to make them again soon so I can write down the adjustments. They taste exactly like "regular" choc chippers. Really good!   18. How about mini muffins. You can put lots of yummy things in them, reduce the sugar and use applesauce to sweeten them. Google recipes on here. Bake a couple of kinds and freeze them. Pumpkin, apple, applesauce, lemon, choc/chip, nut, raisin, cinnamon and spices, coconut, peanut butter and jelly, carrot, berry, etc. Or just add different goodies into the...

  23. I switched from rice to sorghum. Need any info just google sorghum. It's alot like wheat minus the gluten. And its not grainy.
  24. I have been making gingersnaps and vanilla wafers with Spectrum instead of butter for pie crusts. I made Chex Mix with light olive oil yesterday...works great! I made some vegan chocolate chip cookies with light olive oil too. I bet you could even use 1/2 of each also.
