ahem... Yeast is not just female related- you've heard of Jock Itch, yes? -
also, u may want to consider that some of these nightshades are high in fructose & fructans. i avoid potatoes, and i eat peppers in very small quantities. tomatoes are usually fine for me as long as i dont overdo it. because i have problems with fructose- too much of tomatoes, and moderate amounts of peppers can give me some bloating & discomfort...

cassP replied to nuttmegs17's topic in Celiac Disease Pre-Diagnosis, Testing & Symptoms
Royal Jelly- i think is from the Queen Bee... it is supposed to calm the Grave's antibodies. **if u have an allergy to bees- suggested to avoid it. and Selenium helps both abs.. i got this info from the guys at: www.greenmedinfo.com they compile hundreds of medical articles- so u can search for a disease or supplement and come up with a bunch of studies... -
if bananas dont make u nauseaus or burn your stomach, then maybe it's just me, and u should continue to eat them. they also help feed the GOOD bacteria in your gut- so that's good. also i read that broccoli sprouts help to inhibit the H.Pylori from colonizing.. and cranberry juice helps too- tho test it out- and see if it settles okay in your stomach ...

i was thinking this exact same thing- concerning all the antibodies involved with the Celiac panel, and the thyroid antibodies... why is there a range of how many antibodies is ok???? is that because we're all so sick- that they have to grade us on a curve? or allow a small amount of antibodies to be normal? when they test for HIV- do they have a range for... -

ARCHIVED Is Celiac Positive?
cassP replied to jemms's topic in Celiac Disease Pre-Diagnosis, Testing & Symptoms
well u dont have to have a positive on any Iga results to have a problem, because u could be Iga deficient- which is why they also tested your Igg. but im confused a little- cause your results page is so vague- that's all that was on your paper?? no numbers?? no ranges?? i would need more information- ask your doc if there's some numbers and ranges to... -
ARCHIVED Never Diagnosed... How To Discuss With Others
cassP replied to katiekay's topic in Celiac Disease Pre-Diagnosis, Testing & Symptoms
i would tell people u r Gluten Intolerant. i am one of those who self diagnosed.. and honestly- it depends on the situation and the people around me- i may say im Celiac one day, and Gluten Intolerant the next.. just whatever is easy for everyone to understand and to take me seriously. i tell all my doctors that i have it, but that i havent had the biopsy... -

ARCHIVED Is It Celiac?
cassP replied to arabookworm's topic in Post Diagnosis, Recovery & Treatment of Celiac Disease
plus, let's think about it for a second-> Celiac is the autoimmune disease of the small intestine. but gluten has been shown to induce damage all over the body, and has been linked to so many additional diseases and conditions. i dont think u have to have certain antibodies test positive to legitimately get nauseaus or have heartburn from gluten. wheat... -

wait, r u still eating gluten? gluten can really cause a lot of sleep issues, it's been linked to sleap apnea & narcolepsy, among many things. i overslept all the time when i used to eat gluten, i would never even hear the alarm clock, or i would sleepwalk to turn it off and never have memory of it. and thyroid issues can cause nightmares & sleep...
