ARCHIVED Blood Type And Food Intolerances
cassP replied to Looking for answers's topic in Food Intolerance & Leaky Gut
it helps to read the whole book, and not just the lists- it will make more sense- so you can be the director of your own individual journey. he even says i think to read it with the same open mindedness & skepticism that brought you to it in the first place. there ARE "inconsistencies" especially when the lists seem to change in the Live Right book, and... -
ARCHIVED Got My Endoscopy Results And Thyroid Results
cassP replied to nuttmegs17's topic in Celiac Disease Pre-Diagnosis, Testing & Symptoms
you may already know this- but it's because the T3 only stays in your body for 6 hours. it's a real pain to plan my lunch around it(esp with work)- but worth it mostly to feel good for the WHOLE day!!! -

thanku SO MUCH! you're a Godsend... now could you please just come with me to my next endo apt THAT GOT PUSHED BACK TO JULY 11 ok, so moving the decimal point 3 spaces, and saying 10x more confused me. nevertheless i tried to copy the model. my FT3 was at 4.00 my RT3 was 244. so 4000/244= about 16.5 (is that right?) so it's not bad... -

nutmeg- i was always crashing in the afternoon/evening too- taking some kind of dose in the middle of the day really really helps me- tho it's a pain to not eat before and after it- -
really? i love Mary's Gone Crackers, except that they sometimes r too hard for my teeth.

hilarious- i just replied i think on another thread relating to your season! summer is my arch nemesis. and personally- my diet is already more restrictive than the thyroid diet... im: gluten-free, SHOULD be dairy free, trying to be soy free, avoid legumes, most beans, corn, & low fructose/fructans, low carb mostly. -
yes- i do- and im not so sure it has to do with the fructose malabsorption thing. just my own theory really. if i eat a banana BY ITSELF- i will get hot & nauseous- and reflux- and almost IMMEDIATE "RUN TO THE BATHROOM" and vomit feeling- it is awful- i discovered this in my early 20s- way before i knew anything about wheat or gluten, etc. **this also...

i went on & off LOW & NO carb for the past 11 years... only been 100% gluten free since July 1, 2010. i had self diagnosed the celiac in june, and after going gluten free, got DH. then in October- dx with Hashi, jan- dx with Graves. i had celiac symptoms since my teens- and hashi symptoms (I THOUGHT) for only the last 6 or 7 years. but now im wondering...

over a year ago maybe i listened to the radio show online when Dr. Oz had Dr. D'Adamo on. Dr. Oz was very polite & open minded to the possibilities- but his partner (forgot his name) was a little more closed off. but it was a good show. Dr. Oz is bloodtype O, and i wondered after his colon cancer discovery-> if he should reconsider some of the diet... -

thanku so much for all the great info!!! one favor- im not too smart at math- can u please tell me how to figure out the ratio of Rt3 to t3?? ive got both numbers, just dont know how to work it? -
your numbers are encouraging! so, im completely ok with being on meds the rest of my life- but id like to have a better "quality of life". i would like to know that if i can get my Hashi & Grave's antibodies down to within in range- then maybe i wont have so many episodes. ?? because the meds can only help so much- and only with the one condition. i...

oh i still think it's not as restrictive as what many of us do on here anyways- i still drink alcohol but only occasionally- i just know that my body cant handle as much as others- which is fine, im not a big drinker anyways- i always had a sensitive stomach/liver. i would always end up puking if i drank like other people- so ive been used to drinking... -

hey- 1st off- i totally like that Dr. J guy- seems like a real nice guy... and- how in the world are we to get eggs that are not from chickens fed grains & soy & corn??? it's impossible ya??? so annoyed with that- im SO ANNOYED with EVERYTHING having corn & soy in it- and probably GMO to boot -
ARCHIVED Synthroid?
cassP replied to kaitlyn77's topic in Gluten-Free Foods, Products, Shopping & Medications
i called the company who makes synthroid months ago, when i was still on it. the official reply they gave me was that NONE of the ingredients were gluten BUT they could not guarantee 100% that the raw ingredients they get to make it were not cross contaminated. i did NOT react well at all to being on Synthroid alone. but once they added Cytomel, i was... -

what do u mean "so incredibly restrictive" that you'd rather be nuked?? so far, ive only read up to avoid wheat & soy... and of course caffeine- that's hardly as restrictive as my Celiac, Fructose Malabsorption, & other intolerances including Legumes & Corn -
Deglycyrrhizinised liquorice it really helps your stomach- can reduce high acidity. i love it. it's better as DGL. regular licorice can elevate your blood pressure

most beans wreck me completely... and legumes (including peanuts) wreck me too-> id say the pain is sometimes worse than gluten big time. im assuming i can do a little hummus cause the chickpeas have been pulverized- maybe when some of these foods are blended to smithereens-> maybe it renders some of the proteins easier to digest. but u know we...

wowwwwwwww, thanku so much! what a great tip... ive often wondered if the liners made a difference! -
idk.... but im assuming that that fake nacho cheese stuff probably has 30 ingredients that our body would want to reject. werent u afraid to order it without seeing the ingredients? i wouldnt be surprised if there's wheat, corn, and soy byproducts in it. ??

cassP replied to nuttmegs17's topic in Celiac Disease Pre-Diagnosis, Testing & Symptoms
hey- my T3 & T4 were in the upper middle range- so if my doc had only looked at those- it would look like i was fine. maybe u should get your grave's antibodies tested too- im theorizing that having both may have been why i had enough t3 & t4 in my blood.??? my T3 levels went down when i first started on meds- i was on Synthroid 50mcg only. it made...
