  1. He seemed really eager to eat this. But like I said he will eat about anything. I don't feed him any table scraps at all because I can't stand to have a dog sit and stare and beg while I am at the table. He was a rescue dog so his eagerness to eat most everthing could have something to do with his past. I didn't have a problem with his food containing...
  2. I started experimenting with coconut flour. It is really high in fiber and a good source of protein. I have been baking with it. But the best thing so far is making fruit smoothies and putting 1-2 TBS mixed into it. It helps and it tastes great. Because the coconut flour is so high in fiber you need to drink a lot of water and not overdo it. A little...
  3. Then you would really hate it when people say JU ly for July and IN surance stressining on the in.(not sure how to type it to convey the mispronuncion). Oh then there is warsh for wash. How did that r get in there? How about winder for window? What really gets me going is when words like pen, get, set, etc are pronounced pin, git and sit. I really get...
  4. I ran out of the usual food Nutro large breed formula. He would eat this fine and tolerated it without any gi problems. I tried him on the nutro lamb and rice formula (gluten free) and he had bad diarhea from it. I don't think he can handle lamb. I have been wanting to try this for awhile so I bought it tonight. He gobbled it up, but then again, he...
  5. I was just curious if anyone has used this dog food? I am going to try my german shephard on the wetlands canine formula.
  6. The way I figure it is that they are the same.
  7. I know of a few people I would like to give them to!
  8. I don't think so we are all just having a little fun!
  9. Another one I had a hard time getting used to was reckon. I just had never heard the word used so much. Then there is the phrase that I hear alot "Bless your heart." I hear that mostly when people are having a hard time, sick or bad luck or something. I guess it seems to me a nicer way to say "I'm sorry for you."
  10. I cant stand to hear when someone comes in the x-ray department and the say at the reception desk "I'm here for some testes." Your here for WHAT? Tests I can completely understand but I thought the others were part of the male anatomy. Another one is vomiking for vomiting. And then there is diarearer for diarrhea. Oh and there are the people who...
  11. I react badly to even gluten free oats. I eat the kind bars all the time and have hadno problems with them.
  12. Here is another topic about black bean brownies that also has a suggestion on how to make a bean carrot cake. I have made the carrot cake version three times. First one with splenda (good but don't like the aftertaste from splenda), second one with regular sugar (it tasted really good), and the third one I made with truvia (this went over great as well...
  13. Here is a very down to earth explaination of immunoglobulins. Hope it helps. Open Original Shared Link
  14. Could you substitute brown rice flour for the white sweet rice flour?
  15. Just fyi the pancakes were a complete flop. I really do now believe the measurements to be way off. I have another recipe for coconut pancakes that only takes 2 tbsp of coconut flour, so we'll see. The pizza crust is excellent though and good if your avoiding all grains.
  16. OMG! That is beautiful looking. Makes me want to lick the screen! I'll give that a shot definately. Thanks!
  17. Your iron levels are not going to correct itself over night. If you gut is not healed all the iron pills in the world won't help. Just last month my iron levels are starting to normalize. I still have a way to go though and I have been gluten free for a year now. I was told the same thing about my iron so not true. I didn't start oral supplementation...
  18. Try not to throw stones, but I must play devil's advocate here. I have yet to find a gluten free pizza crust to my satisfaction. Now I realize that I am never going to replicate the texture or flavor of a regular pizza crust, I just want something palatable. I don't understand how people say that others would never know the difference. Being a previous...
  19. I had my first colonoscopy at 35 (I am almost 37 now). The gi doc wanted to do both the endoscopy and colonoscopy at the same time. I did not want to so I opted just for the endoscopy first and waited to do the hemoccult stool test a month later. I was thinking it would be normal and I would not have to have the colonoscopy. It was positive and I had...
  20. How is your thyroid, vitamin and mineral levels? Hypothyroid, anemia, b12 and vitamin D deficiency can affect some or all of these.
  21. From what I can assume from your biopsy report you have celiac. You probably are going to be a biopsy proven with negative blood work celiac. You really need to check out your other vitamin/minerals. I was very vitamin D deficient and I have been taking rx vitain D for it since Jan. You need to go gluten free and find another GI doc.
  22. Sure it still could be from gluten. Have you had the rash biopsied? Maybe it is DH. I think (but don't know for certain) that people with DH can have negative blood work and small bowel biopsy, but still celiac because of the DH. You could be gluten intolerent also.
  23. While my mother in law believes that I have this disease, I think she thinks I'm a bit over the top. We had a recent halloween party for over 40 kids/adults and I couldn't afford to do the whole party gluten free. There was myself and three others that needed gluten free food so I made seperate stuff for us. Anyway I was constantly going behind her cleaning...
  24. To be honest I'm suprised biopsy samples were even taken. Most EGD procedures where I am don't include small bowel biopsy unless there is an indication. It is good that your sample is getting looked at by another. Your doc obviouslly is not very informed. It is very common for people to have false negative blood work. If a person is IgA deficient then...
  25. The reference range in the lab I get my blood work states "The TSH reference interval of 0.3 to 3.04 uIU/ml reflects the guidline recommendations from the American Association of Clinical Endocrinologists and many others because of the finding that repeated TSH levels above 3.0 may indicate the early stages of thyroid failure. In addition, a TSH level less...
