  2. Completely agree Colleen...I never shop at Whole Foods because they charge too much...well since we first flipped four years ago....I am - however - just thrilled that one chain has made a stand...was very disappointed when Monsanto and pals flooded our state with millions of dollars this past November when it looked as though our GMO labeling law was going...
  3. Thanks to you and J -- love all your updates from your odyssey -- Cheers!
  4. Spent a wonderful morning with my boys -- perfect bluebird day -- made better by free lift tickets a friend of mine passed along to us. 14. Ah Peg - think you may be confusing me with Irish - which is a huge compliment. And for others reading along - removing gluten alone did not bring health to me -- yet it did for two of my kids and two grands....my family could be the poster for early diagnosis. Ps..someone asked.why we wouldn't tell newbies it takes years to heal? MOST celiacs do heal...

    ARCHIVED Help!

I agree with Karen and Mushroom. I can't eat chex because of other intolerances -- my celiac kids all eat rice, cinnamon and chocolate chex often. We use half plain rice added to the other half flavored ones to decrease total sugar -- but all three are absolutely gluten-free.
  19. Hi Missy...you need not overdo the gluten consumtion -- there is some arguement about how much gluten is enough, between 1/2 to 2 slices of bread a day is your target -- some have had a bit of luck eating their daily gluten in the evening to help limit the worse effects to sleep hours. I find that a bath with a half a cup of baking soda can really calm...
  20. I disagree with calling the home tests garbage. It is limiting in that it only measures tTG-IgA, but until very recently this was the only test folks were given to screen for Celiac Disease and still remains the only test many primary doctors order. With the positive tTG along with the long list of symptoms and a child diagnosed - I would say you are very...
  21. For me -- it is a matter of histamine... Open Original Shared Link
  22. We - my son and I both had a reaction to Lindt during our early days, but I am not familiar with their current ingredients. Also, If you are having a soy issue - most chocolate bars and candy have soy. I didn't give up on chocolate without a fight -- turns out I do not have issue with plain old Hershey's Cocoa - so I make my own choc mousse and candy...
