And somebody mentioned clothes. We bought their clothes, but one of boys was seriously into shoes. Skate shoes to be exact. At one point he owned more shoes than my wife did. Seriously. We counted them one time. So we bought him two pairs of regular (i.e. we decided the price range) shoes a year or as needed if he outgrew them or they just wore out, but anything...

Holy Toledo! $5 a week? That is what our boys were getting when they were 18 (Our youngest turned 18 3 years ago). Well, actually it was $25 per month. But they got some deducted if they didn't do certain chores. So effectively one of them rarely got any allowance. They didn't even begin to get an allowance until they were 13. so either you are in a significantly...

Having just read a study (Open Original Shared Link) about CC in the gluten-free grains, I would suggest you try eliminating all grains for a while. Are you around baking with regular flour? Airborne gluten can cover everything and it is virtually impossible to clean every exposed surface and utensil that might be exposed. You can get CC days later if you... -

Do you have pets or animals and do they eat dry food? If so, check and see if she is coming in contact with it. Most non-holistic pet foods and pet snacks have gluten and/or soy in them. I'm having an issue with this myself right now is how I know. -

All I can say is WOW! So...WOW! My boss, a co-worker, and I went there tonight, and it was FANTASTIC! They only had one gluten free beer, but they had a separate gluten free menu, they cook aware of cross-contamination, they make their own gluten-free buns, they have some gluten-free desserts, the server was very knowledgeable about the gluten content of...

I had a Maine Coone mix. 'Puffball'. He was a very long hair cat, and when he was a kitten he would curl up in the palm of my hand and tuck his nose under his tail, close his eyes, and he would look like a giant dandelion puff because his fur would stick out every which way. He grew up to be a 24# monster cat. He passed away about 7 years ago. He was also... -

But they weeble and they wobble and they don't fall down! Isn't triple crown a whiskey? I like UFC/MMA, and baseball. Rugby is more interesting to me than football. But...since we don't have Cable or Satellite TV I don't watch much of any of them. -

We had the problem with one of Matthew's friends. He didn't want to 'be mean'. So we cut his phone off. He finally got mad enough with them and told them to stop calling after 9 because they were getting him in trouble. -

ARCHIVED I'm Probably Have Celiac Disease
Korwyn replied to linkinforcer's topic in Coping with Celiac Disease
Actually, after gall bladder removal your dietary fat content is entirely dependent on your bile production from your liver. My sister and wife both have had their gall bladder removed. My wife is eating a very high fat/protein, gluten free, casein free, paleo style diet with me without any problems. My sister on the other hand has to take bile enzymes ahead... -
Connie, Have you met with an MD/ND and dietitian][/b about possibly a high-protein, high-fat, low-carb, low glycemic index diet to treat your hypoglycemia? Insulin secretion is critical to the processing of carbs, but not critical to the processing of fats and proteins. If your body is burning ketone bodies as fuel instead of glucose then the insulin...

My anxiety, panic attacks, and depression were mostly soy induced, though the fatigue and brain fog from the gluten caused/contributed significantly as well. I have talked to and met people who get similar effects from casein however.

Korwyn replied to Chele8198's topic in Related Issues & Disorders
I have had this happen a lot and it continued (even got worse in some ways) after being diagnosed. It feels to me almost like an electric current is running through my body. It is (for me) adrenal caused. Soy triggers it also, probably because soy triggers an adrenaline rush with the panic attacks. I'm being treated for borderline extreme adrenal fatigue... -
Hi lisa, Similar story. Got better, developed more/new symptoms after going gluten-free. Tested positive for casein IgA, eliminated all dairy, that took care of the gas, D, reflux, vomiting. Still had psych (anxiety, panic attacks, insomnia) and some neuro issues. Eliminated all soy (including soy lecithin) and those began to resolve.

Did you get tested for Casein ? I'm not lactose intolerant either, but I AM Casein intolerant. Dairy (Casein) produces violent GI issues for me. Once I went off the Casein and all refined sugars my GI issues cleared up completely. -
ARCHIVED Did You Have A Trigger That Started Your Symptoms?
Korwyn replied to afreeclimber74's topic in Coping with Celiac Disease
Looking back on it, my first symptoms showed up about 20 years ago. But nothing really major and nothing that was really a 'big deal' according to my various drs. I wasn't really sick at all. I started having some GI issues about 5-6 years ago, just all attributed to stress. Then after some oral surgery and the antibiotic I developed a major C. Diff outbreak... -

I just looked at their allergen information and I didn't see anything for gluten. Only a wheat allergen page. Did I miss something? The copy on their website states it is effective through 7/12.
