  1. Welcome, I know exactly where you're coming from. School PE was bad for me too! Who else do you know that would get an F in PE? I refused to dressout and workout because i hurt so bad and I would get physically sick if I did jumping jacks, situps, etc. I have had this since I was 8 years old that I know of and found out about all of this mess at the age of...
  2. Oh Raven, I haven't been on here in a few days. I just seen your post. My sincerest sympathies for your loss and i'm happy to hear about the new addition. I have 2 cats myself, One is almost 20lbs. He's big, fat and lovable too. I've had the both of them for 7 years now, Zetters and Tom. I'll have to post a pic of them sometime whenever i can ever remember...
  3. Hi everone, hope everybody's doing good today. Been gluten free for 2 and a half years now give or take. Due to ongoing fatigue symptoms that are not going away and that I don't want to put off on the fibro I have an appt with an internal medicine dr Sept. 13th. He will be testing from what I understand everything from thyroid, lupus, adrenals, etc. He...
  4. Hi Greg, I also have something for you. Those of us who have arthritis issues tend to have a problem with nightshade vegetables. (tomatoes, potatoes, all bell peppers and eggplant). This is due to the low levels of toxins in them. Thecause pain/swelling in the joints and muscles. Soy and dairy will cause some of these issues too. Hope you get to feeling...
  5. I remmeber seeing the Dr Oz show last Wednesday, he had another Dr on there and I can't remember his name. But they both said that it was a proven fact that envelopes had gluten on them in the paste.
  6. Hi Guy, I've wondered about the cancer too since it is so prevalent on both sides of my family. I've basicaly been sick my whole life and found out about the gluten connection 2 years ago. I was so sick that I didn't bother with the tests I went glutenfree immediately and like a lot of others really wish that I had tested before because i have tried to do...
  7. Well, i've tried a few things with BHT and it hasn't bothered me one bit. Then a week ago I tried the Gluten free honey nut chex. Big d, and same old gluten symptoms. So, it's not the BHT. But at least i have found a couple of cereals I can eat with no reactions. That is the Wlamart brand toasted rice in the blue and white box and the shure fine brand rice...
  8. Hi Cool, yes maam, it's been in the 100's here in Oklahoma, I'm feeling the same as you. It's hard, just try to dd the best you can to stay cool.
  9. I would never have believed it if I hadn't seen it. I'm sorry you're feeling bad.
  10. Did you replace your cooking pans, toaster, wooden or plastic cutting boards, wooden spoons, collander? Do you share a home with other gluten eaters? Have you replaced your shampoos and conditioners? Do you have household pets that you feed gluten food to? All of these are high cross contamination issues. Then again you may have developed other food entolerances...
  11. Hi GFmanna, The Walmart brand does not have mixed tocopherols or soy. I react to all of the gluten free chex cereals not just the gluten free rice chex. All of the gluten-free chex does not have soy in them. But, to answer your question, yes, I have to avoid all soy products too. And yes, the gluten-free cereals are made in a gluten free facility. That's...
  12. I have always been overweight and couldn't lose it no matter what I did. When I went gluten free it wasn't to lose weight but get rid of all the other problems I had. D, migraines, tingling, depression, stomach pain, anxiety, etc. Losing weight was a shock. I went from 235 to 160 and it has stabilized. That's 75 pounds and I wasn't even trying. Took almost...
  13. Hi Suziq, I get a reaction from all of them. I react to almost all the gluten free processed foods, that's why I post in the Super sensitive forum also. Also, Welcome to the forum Deinanth!
  14. Well, after eating some Chex cereals a couple of weeks ago and getting what I called severely glutened I posted on here a thread "Man, have I been glutened." well, in the discussions something was brought up if it might have been the possibility that it might have been BHT instead of the Gluten free cereal. HI Irishheart! Well, I finally got to test...
  15. I can remember at the age of 7 me fighting my mother and grandmother because they were trying to give me an enema because I hadn't pooed in like 2 weeks, That was not fun. All my life I had more c than d. It wasn't unusual for me to have a bm maybe once every 3 to 4 weeks sometimes as long as 6. I would normally get an impaction at least once a year but to...
  16. Man, hard to spell going down the road and the other half keeps hitting potholes while youre trying to spell words on a cell phone. Can be downright aggravating especially when ur phone wants to add its own words.
  17. I am always in pain from my fibro since I was 8 or maybe a combo of fibro and gluten both. I have had a reduction of the pain at least since I cut out gluten, soy, and dairy, but it wasn't until I cut the nightshades that I finally found some relief. My pain levels have come down from an between an 8-9 to a manageable 3-4 unless I eat something bad. The...
  18. Well, number 1 is the Benefiber. It's a NO NO! Wheat Alert! Wheat Alert! Number 2 The Chex cereals get me, kick those out for a couple of weeks and see what happens. Number 3 kick the bread out for a couple of weeks as it bothers some folks to and last but not least the tomatoes which is in the nightshade family. Some of us can't handle those either. I get...
  19. Hi Loneferret and welcome to the forums. My question I have for you is do you know about the cross contamination stuff? If you don't it dosen't matter how you eat you will keep getting sicker if you don't avoid it. Is the wife and kids going gluten free with you? If not then you need separate cutting boards, toaster, teflon pans, unless you use cast...
  20. When I took it, it made everything worse instead of better. I kept telling the dr's I wasn't depressed and they wouldn't listen. I'm already tired and it made me want to sleep a good 14 hrs at atime. I stopped it and told my dy where he could shove it. I was that fed up with him.
  21. Hi Jewell, welcome to the forum! He has Celiac, he had positive tests. As far as the biopsy is concerned, Depending on how many places were biopsied they could have missed the damaged areas (after all there is at least 22 feet of intestine)or his Celiac was caught in time before any damage was done. He needs to be kept gluten free for sure.
  22. I'm sorry you feel so bad, umm, maybe you "corned" yourself? Sorry about that but I couldn't help myself. I really feel for you, hope you get to feeling better.
  23. Yes. I get it when I've been glutened.
  24. I'm in, of somebody can come up with how to get it started I'll definitly contribute. That is if I ever remember how to spell corectly. Lol. Oh brother, this may be even harder than I thought.
  25. I would love to be able to write one but have no idea how to get started.
