  1. I agree with Raven also and i'll throw this in. I react to all gluten free cereals. You may have had a reaction to the cereal. Just a thought.
  2. Melatonin was a godsend for me until I developed an intolerance to it. Imagine waking up flat of your back and feeling like you're falling out of bed. Dizzy was not the word for it. It got so bad i couldn't even sit up without nearly falling out of my chair. As soon as I stopped the Melatonin that stopped, but, whoo, that was a scary couple of days til...
  3. You have possibly developed other food intolerances. Dairy and soy seem to be the top 2 that a lot of people have. Might be advisable to do an elemination diet and cut out the most common food allergens. Hope this tidbit helps.
  4. Hi Mandy, nightshade vegetables will also cause joint pain. Nightshades are potatoes, tomatoes, all bell peppers and eggplant.
  5. Dairy and gluten both causes bloating in the upper abdomen for me. Uuugghhh, sluggish feeling, nausea, burping, sometimes shooting pains. I also think that you still have gluten cross contamination plus you are newly diagnosed, so go easy or cut out the gluten free foods because they can problems first starting out. Best to be on a whole foods diet for a...
  6. NNnnnnnnoooooo, that's my one and only mayo! No wonder i've been hurting. Damn them people, I have been using this for so long I got to the point of not checking the ingredients. There goes my chicken salad. Bummer!
  7. Thank goodness that seems to be one good thing that went away fairly quickly. I use to have uti's at least once a year since I was about 14. I can happily say that I have not had 1 since going gluten free. That's been about 2 years now.
  8. That can be a sign of a problem with nightshade vegetables. They have a toxin in them that some of us have a problem with. Nightshades are tomatoes, potatoes, all bell peppers, eggplant as well as a few others. Then again it may very well be caisen. So definetly try one food at a time. Just thought I would give you a heads up on the nightshades. Have fun...
  9. Health food store.
  10. I'm sorry you feel the need to leave. I not only have a gluten problem but Fibromyalgia, hypoglycemia and rhuematoid arthritis. Most of the people on here have other have these and other problems as well. They have helped me on numerous occasions on not just the gluten but the hypo and my Fibro especially. I think your problem is you can't or won't take any...
  11. Hi poppi, I have never been able to drink coffee because it also made me sleepy and sick to my stomach. I found that it has something called tannins in it as well as in cigarettes too. Anything with tannins in it does that to me.
  12. Karl, you need help. Flat out you are living in depression and grief. Disabled, I'll give you an example of overcoming a disability. My ex brother on law and his wife both were paralysed on a car wreck and they had 3 children. What did they do? They didn't wallow in self pity. When they recovered enough to live on their own they went on with their lives...
  13. It's a cream that you rub into different areas of your body. Like on the undersides of your upper arms, your breasts, your ovary areas, etc. It has really helped me with the pain.
  14. I have had what we now know were gluten issues from childhood. I became pregnant at the age of 19. I was fine up until about my 16th week. Started showing signs of preeclampsia. Was miserably sick every single day. I could not keep anything down and was hospitalized at 24 weeks for a month then sent home for a week then wound up back in the hospital and...
  15. I have endo and also gluten free. I have also had severe pain that time of the month since I started at the age of 10. I finally found something to help with the pain. Wild yam cream. Hopefully that will help because gluten free didn't help like I had hoped it would. Good luck
  16. I am a truck driver and I rarely eat in restaurants. I have an electric skillet and a microwave in my truck. Plus i carry a camping stove when i travel in my pickup. like a couple of weeks ago i went to the back country of colorado. i took a lot of canned goods, brown rice, meats and i did some fishing.
  17. It sounds like you had a beautiful time. I just spent a week in colrado doing what I love myself. Gold prospecting. It was slow going, with my fibro it had to be. But it was fun. In the back country, national forests. Oh it was beautiful.
  18. Oh man. I know the feeling. I did good getting rid of my diet mountain dew. It has caffeine and aspartame in it. Both which give me problems. I did good for almost a year then I caved into a craving. Bad idea, now I'm back up to at least 3 20 ozs a day and I am feeling it. I have switched to diet 7 up. It's caffeine free but still has aspertame in it.1 step...
  19. This is interesting. I have run fevers as long as I can remember. My mom has told me that I ran a lot of fevers as a baby. Testing has never shown anything. Now, that's not to say I haven't ever had a cold or strep throat with fever.. my fevers went away after being gluten free for 6 months. Now, I only get a fever when I get glutened or actually get sick...
  20. Hi syl. Questions I have are, did you replace your pots and pans, toaster, collander, wooden cutting boards. Do you have household pets. Could your so be cooking her gluten foods in your pans? The reason I ask is because I caught mine cooking his foods in mine.
  21. Oh, Karl, I am so sorry to hear about Ishmael. I hope he starts feeling better now. You both are in my prayers.
  22. She might then again she might not. She may have symptoms immediately then again it might not affect her until 2 or 3 days later. But she will still be doing damage to her system. If she does this then she will get to where she will start doing it more often. Eventually she will start feeling the effects and then she might have irriverable damage. Just...
  23. Sharing a water bottle with my sweetie while he was eating a gluten filled sandwich, cross contamination from the steering wheel, switches, knobs, doorhandles and stickshift in the cab of our truck after he ate a hamburger and I ate some grapes the next morning. household pets who have not been taken gluten free. Just a few examples from my experiences getting...
