  1. Love2travel, I know what it's like to travel long distances and in pain. It's not fun, I have found that with my Fibro I can't eat soy or the nightshade vegetables. They cause a lot of pain for me. Have you cut those out of your diet. If not give it a try. My pain took about 6 weeks to ease up after I took those out. My back dosen't cramp and spasm or go...
  2. Hey possiblyglutensensitive, are you still eating soy and nightshade vegetables? it wasn't until I eleminated those that the pain started going away. My periods used to put me down for several days but it's starting to ease up finally. It's taken me 2 years to get where I am at now. I'm not 100% so I figure I have another 2 to 3 years to have optimal...
  3. That's the truth! Thanks everyone.
  4. Hi Kathrynl, Drink a lot of water to flush the system, pepto to soothe the tummy and ibuprophin or tylenol for the pain, other than that try to lay down and rest if you can.
  5. Hi everyone, it's me again. Well, since last time I posted about my problems things have changed. Right after my last post on venting my mom got sick and spent almost a month and a half in the hospital with plurisy which turned into numonia. She nearly didn't make it. Well, I came home 2 weeks ago. I've been off the truck that long and I am feeling...
  6. Hi SusieQ, I am 46 yrs old and I have had these symptoms since I was 7 or 8 years old. Didn't find out about the gluten until I was 44. That's like 35 years I was sick all the time. I haven't tried any gluten free pizza so I can't help you there. But you are a very lucky young lady to have found this so early. You won't spend years of feeling sick and helpless...
  7. Hi Karla, some of us can't eat the gluten free foods because of other food intolerances. I can't eat Udi's bread because of the potato starch. Some react to the xantham gum and some react to the low level of gluten in the bread. All so called gluten free packaged foods still have low levels of gluten in them. If you eat a lot of gluten free foods sooner or...
  8. Hi Rangersfan, BIIGGGGG Welcome! Well, first off if hubbie's not going gluten free with you, he needs to brush his teeth after eating gluten before he can kiss you. MAJOR Contamination. Need new collander, separate containers as in butter, peanut butter, jellies, mayo, mustard. Check your meds, lotions, shampoos, household pets, either need to take them...
  9. Hi Gondor, welcome to the forum. Thank goodness you were diagnosed early. Now you can start to get a lot, lot better. My advise is to read, read, read. You need to replace your non stick pans if they have scratches because gluten can hide in there. New toaster because you can't get it clean, anything woodwn needs to be replaced, ie, cutting boards, wooden...
  10. I weighed 200 or more since I was 14. No diet ever helped until I went on a whole foods diet 2 years ago. I have since lost close to 50 lbs. I can't eat any of the gluten free foods because I react to them.. I eat plain meats, fish, chicken, brown rice, sweet potatos, carrots, corn, asparagus, lettuce, peas, peanut butter, nuts, tostito chips, grapes, apples...
  11. Hi Kim, I have always had a problem with bananas. Had the same symptoms as you. Never could understand why, but it looks like it might have been fructose malabsorption. Check that out. I finally am able to eat bananas without getting sick after being gluten free for 2 years. Tomatoes and potatoes are from the nightshade family. The nightshade vegetables...
  12. Milkmommy, i've had this since I was 7. Been sick all my life. My parents, especially my father, as much as I loved him, would tell me all the time there was nothing wrong with me but laziness. I could sleep 15 hrs a day if I could, always had body pain and flu like symptoms every single day. Was diagnosed with clinical depression and Social anxiety disorder...
  13. I can remember at the age of 7 me fighting with my mom and grandmother because they were trying to give a an enema because I was so constipated. Wasn't unusual for me to only go once every 3 to 4 weeks. To me it was normal. Been that way since I was 7. All, and I mean all of my differnt problems includeing constipation went away after eliminating all the...
  14. Hi Soupmonger, My asthma went away after completely eliminating gluten and dairy. It took about 6 months for it to go away and I havn't had an asthma attack since. Good luck
  15. Hi, I have Fibro too and am lucky to say that I don't have any problems with disks as of yet. I've tried FibroSence and I'm sorry to say it hasn't worked for me. That's not to say it might not work for you. I would give it a shot. You never know. The only thing that keeps my Fibro down to a dull roar is avoiding gluten, dairy, soy, msg, caffene, aspartame...
  16. I sent a question asking about it to admin. Scott sent me back a note saying that he's looking into it. Now, let's keep our fingers crossed!
  17. Are you still consuming dairy and soy? These will cause those issues. Try to eliminate both for a couple of weeks and see what happens. Just a thought.
  18. All this means is that your system is reacting differently. There are no false positive tests that I have heard of. There are times I will get one set of symptoms with a glutening then have another different set with another glutening. You are still having gluten symptoms though with the bloating, gas, etc. Sorry.
  19. Ok, so anybody know the admin? Maybe sweettalk him into givin us a chat room.
  20. Oh boy, I get the itchies and little bumps when I eat anything with soy and potato starch. As long as I steer clear of those my itchiness goes away. What is really irksome is I just get them on my right shoulder blade and the back of my neck. Uuuuhhhhh.
  21. Hopefully we wouldn't be that childish but thinking about discussing poo and gas just has me cracking up.
  22. Hi Kathleenp, welcome to the forums. I had clinical depression and social anxiety disorder since I was 8. None of the meds helped after a certain period of time for me. It wasn't until I went gluten, dairy and soy free that all that went away. There is a member on here named Skylark who had bipolar which went away after being gluten free even able to stop...
  23. It's kind of like yahoo messenger. You can talk live in real time kinda like talking on the phone, but instead just online with us folks here on the website.
  24. Please join me in remembering a great icon. Veteran Pillsbury spokesperson, The Pillsbury Doughboy, died this past week in a severe accident involving a turned over Prime truck. He was 71. Doughboy was buried in a slightly greased coffin. Dozens of celebrities turned out, including Mrs. Butterworth, the California Raisins, Hungry Jack, Betty Crocker, the...
