  1. I've been eating this way for 1 and a half years. I can't do soy or dairy so really can't find any cheeses that don't affect me either. I just eat plain meats, chicken, brown rice, some veggies and some fruits because there a few of those I react to too. I eat plain peanut butter, some rice cakes not many, can't stand the texture. Eggs, microwave popcorn...
  2. Hi Zack, I am what we call super sensitive on here. I react to anything made gluten free. I am on a whole foods diet now for about 1 and a half years. I started gluten free 2 years ago and it took me 6 months to figure out that I not only reacted to the gluten but to dairy, soy, some fruits and the nightshade vegetables also. Big bummer. I had stomach issues...
  3. Hey Bridge, first off welcome to the forums. My take is, a slight positive is like being a little bit pregnant. You are or you're not.

    ARCHIVED Sex Drive

    Thankya, thankya, thankya,
  5. Thanks I really appreciate that, I really do. I try. I have often wondered also because of all the cancers plus other disorders that run in both familys. My mother grew up bleeding every single day from the age of 10. She would only have 3 days out of the month when she didn't bleed, 3 of her brothers always had chronic nosebleeds and her 4 brothers, her...

    ARCHIVED Sex Drive

Well, I for one can say it has helped some. But i'm still having issues, so maybe it will get better. After all I went from wanting no sex at all, willing to have it about once every 2 to 3 years to having it about once every 6 weeks.
  7. There are days when I have a hard time wearing any type of clothing at all. It litterally hurts. According to my rheumatologist, it's my fibromyalgia. The nerves in the skin are in overdrive and can't turn themselves off. Uuuhhhh, not a good day when that happens.
  8. I can remember as far back from the age of 8 feeling like crap, hurting, suffereing from constipation more than the other. Going up to 6 weeks at a time without a bowel movement then all of a sudden the d would hit and last a couple of weeks. Fatigued wasn't the word for it. I remmeber being sent outside to play and finding a comfortable spot in the crook...
  9. FORGET the dr's and go gluten free say for about 6 months. If nothing has resolved then go back to the dr's for more tests. Simple as that. Your body will tell you what you need to know. Listen to it and save yourself the misery. The tests are notorious for coming back negative even with all your symptoms and some on here have had even worse symptoms than...
  10. Dagnabit, double post, sorry
  11. Give the nightshades and soy about 6 weeks. It'll take a little while for those to get out of your system. Sounds like you might be going through withdrawal effects too. I take 1000 mgs of magnesium also as well as Vit D and Vit B-12. That has helped with my pain a lot. You do know what all the nightshades are, right? If not, they are potatoes, tomatoes...
  12. I've never been able to wear socks because I get overheated too easy. I dread summertime. It can be 5 degrees outside and i'm bundled up but no socks. Lol, people think i'm nuts, but i'll start getting hot, my feet feel like they are on fire then I start having a hard time breathing then I feel like i'm gonna faint if I don't get somewhere and get cooled...
  13. My symptoms can range from mild to very major symptoms like very very sleepy, total fatigue where I have to immediately lay down and take a nap, itchiness, cramps, diareha, sore stomach, sometimes really sharp shooting pains feeling like someone's stabbing me with a knife, bloating, headaches ranging from just a slight ache to a full grown migraine, bone...
  14. It wasn't until I took out gluten, soy, dairy and all topical creams, shampoos and conditioners that had wheat AND switched from regular salt to sea salt that the itchiness and bumps went away for me especially the sores and bumps on my scalp which I had had for over 20 years.
  15. Welcome to the forum. Yes, definetly withdrawals, to help with the cravings take 500 mgs of magnesium. That will help with those sugar cravings. You will have intense hunger pains for a while. Your body is finally getting the nutrients it needs and is craving all it can hold. So, eat more protiens like meats and nuts. That will fill you up and keep you satisfied...
  16. So not worth it. I have been gluten free 2 years now and had a craving the night before for a maple bar. Uhh, what was I thinking. I had 3 bites, that was it. Three bites couldn't hurt. Here it is 2 nights later and i'm finally starting to feel a bit better. 2 hours after i had those three bites, felt like someone was stabbing me in the stomach with a...
  17. Very interesting thread. I'm 46 and gluten free for 2 years now. Last months period and this one i'm currently on has been different. More pain, heavier bleeding and I still have cramps on the 4th day. Usually the first 2 days are the worse with heavy cramps and heavy bleeding then it eases off. But not these past 2 i'm 4 days in and it's still bad. I have...
  18. Before you cut out the grains I would suggest cutting out dairy first. Dairy causes gas and stomach discomfort as well. I have a feeling it's the dairy, but that's just my opinion. After a month if that dosen't work kick out the soy, then the grains. Just a thought. And yes, you could still be experiencing withdrawal symptoms on top of everything else...
  19. Hang in there Jungle. More than likely you are going through gluten withdrawals. You'll feel worse before you get better but it'll pass just gotta hang in there and wait them out.
  20. Guess he was so excited he totally forgot.
  21. Hi Deanna I totally undertand where you're coming from. I have never tested because the way my luck is I probably would be negative. BUT, I have told my family members that I have had a positive test because I knew they wouldn't believe me about gluten being the reason for most of everyones health problems. I have several members with different types of...
  22. Hi there, i've been gluten free almost 2 years now. I' have had symptoms of chronic fatigue syndrome since the age of 7. According to my rheumatologist i've had Fibromyalgia, gluten intolerance and RA since that age. I am just starting to have energy from what you would call on the scale of 1 to 10, with 10 being the highest. I was at an 8 1/2 most of the...
  23. My RA eased up a lot when I went gluten free but it wasn't untill I took out dairy, soy and nightshades also that I started getting real relief. It took me almost a year to feel better but that was because I was being stubborn and not wanting to take out the other foods. I hope you get to feeling better.
  24. No, you are defenitly not imagining it. Wonderful isn't it? My shoulder and neck pain started easing up just 2 weeks into it. But it took several more weeks and after dropping the nightshade veggetables that my lower back and hip pain went away. After a year the bone pain finally started easing. Now almost 2 years later I have no pain unless I eat something...
  25. Check out the relation between nightshade vegetables and arthritis. My arthritis didn't start easing up until I kicked out the soy and nightshades. Especially the nightshades.
