txplowgirl replied to txplowgirl's topic in Food Intolerance & Leaky Gut
Just wondering if anybody had any ideas on what might be happening? -
Ive got a question. In the last several months I have noticed that if I have any salt at all I will start having a stomach ache and I start getting a slight headache and everything tastes like i've drowned it in salt even when I haven't put any in it. I've had my mother, my son, other family members check and they all say it tastes fine to them. It's getting...

ARCHIVED Bones/joints Q
txplowgirl replied to Mummyto3's topic in Celiac Disease Pre-Diagnosis, Testing & Symptoms
At one time I was at a point I couldn't stand for longer than an hour because my lower back and legs would go numb and get so weak they wouldn't support me. Right side hip pain so bad, sometimes I couldn't walk without limping. I thought I would have to have a hip replacement. My shoulders, wrists, ankles, knees all would snap, crackle and pop from the... -
ARCHIVED Lost And Confused And Sad
txplowgirl replied to marie33's topic in Celiac Disease Pre-Diagnosis, Testing & Symptoms
Hi Marie, just a little advice. You don't have to buy the processed gluten free foods. It's best just to start out on naturally gluten free foods like plain meats, fish, chicken, vegetables, fruits, rice, etc. These will help you a lot better because the processed gluten free foods for one are expensive plus higher in carbs and sugars. -
ARCHIVED Does Anybody Stuggle To Talk When Glutened?
txplowgirl replied to speedy2056's topic in Coping with Celiac Disease
Boy, can I relate. I can remember thinking of something but what came out of my mouth was totally different. My ex accused me of talking backwards. Huh? Then again I could be talking about a car but it would come out instead of saying car I would say something like ball, and on top of that I would swear I was thinking car and I swore I said car but everyone... -

txplowgirl replied to txplowgirl's topic in Super Sensitive People
Yes maam, back when I first tried all the chex cereals it was during my elimination diet. And the other day when I tried this cereal I didn't have anything other than my usual stuff I eat every day. Nothing new for a good month until I had these chex, then bam. -

Actually I can cuss pretty bad to the point I can make a sailor blush. But since this is a family friendly forum I thought I ought to tone it down a mite. Those were my granmother's words for cussin. She was so religious I wasn't even allowed to say dang in front of her. And today the backpain is gone but replaced with an all over body ache, itchiness... -
ARCHIVED Hashimotos, Celiac And Now Muscle Pain!
txplowgirl replied to glutenfreegirl's topic in Coping with Celiac Disease
Hi Glutenfreegirl, I haven't read the book but I have Fibromyalgia, Rhuematoid arthritis and i'm gluten free. The muscle and joint pain that I had did not ease up until I got rid of all gluten, dairy, soy and the nightshade vegetables. Nightshades cause swelling and pain in the muscles and joints also. Nightshades are tomatoes, potatoes, all bell peppers... -
ARCHIVED Man, Have I Been Glutened!
txplowgirl replied to txplowgirl's topic in Super Sensitive People
I tried all the gluten fee chex cereals a year ago and every single one did this to me. I was hoping that I had healed enough I could tolerate it but nope. So, I guess i'll stick with what I do know works for me and no more experimenting. It's tickin me off so bad I feel like cussin, so here goes! Dadgum it dadgum it, dadgum it, dadbless it, son of a biscuit... -
This is rant, because I am so ticked off I can spit! Dadgum it, I have avoided all the gluten free processed stuff for over a year now and 3 days ago I thought I should have had some healing so I thought I would try again. WRONG! I had a bowl of gluten free rice chex with my usual almond milk. Went down ok, but later that evening came down with the D...

Hi there sick daddy, I'm sorry you feel so bad. But it takes time to recover and you will. But, you do not have to eat the gluten free precessed food. Basically it's crap, higher in sugars and carbs. Try natural gluten free foods like plain meats, fish, chicken, vegetables, rice and some fruits. Stick with those for awhile.

Hey hon, I have a feeling you need to drop ALL dairy for a while, it causes me fatigue. Also a side note. I have hauled strawberries and they are shipped in containers packed with wheat straw!. Unless you grow strawberries yourself or get them from an organic farmers market they are a big NO NO!.

Hi Helen, some of us can't handle the gluten free processed breads because of the low level of gluten in them, that's why it's recommended that we start out wih a whole foods diet in the beginning. Then again it could be something else in the bread you are reacting to or it could be the soy in the tuna fish or it could be you're just having an off day. You...

I had to cut the caffine out myself because I finally realized that it caused shakeing on my insides, heart palpataions, insomnia and fatigue. Found that out in doing an elimination diet.

txplowgirl replied to Newtoitall's topic in Post Diagnosis, Recovery & Treatment of Celiac Disease
I'm sorry you feel terrible, big ((((hugs)))) to you. Myself, I drive a big truck across this country of ours and having Fibromyalgia and other food intolerances has been somewhat frustrating. Ok, I fibbed, downright frustrating and often times miserable. There have been times i've had to pull off to the side of the road and cry or sometimes i've screamed... -
ARCHIVED What Were The Hardest Things To Find And Elminate?
txplowgirl replied to Newtoitall's topic in Super Sensitive People
I found I reacted to all gluten free processed foods, the ones on shared product lines even worse. Wheat in my shampoo, SO eating and and glutening the steering wheel, refirgerator door, cabinet handles. My cat's cat food. The toilet handle! Not cleaning the siverware drawer, the toaster sat right above it. Plastic containers, the collander. That's all I... -
ARCHIVED Weight Gain On gluten-free Diet
txplowgirl replied to Almendra's topic in Related Issues & Disorders
I have been overweight all my life and never could lose it no matter what I did. When I found out about the gluten I tried eating a lot of the gluten free foods and I reacted bad. So went on a whole foods diet. In 2 years I went from 205 down to 165. I hover between 165 and 170 now. Even eating whole foods I can't seem to get any lower. I guess my intestines... -
