  1. Hi there Unknown, welcome to the forums. Yes all those symptoms correlate to Celiac disease. A slighly positive is like being a little bit pregnant. I was always overweight, never could lose it. After going gluten free i've lost close to 50 lbs. Take a deep breath and read read read. You'll be feeling better in a few weeks time. Good luck. Txplowgirl
  2. I can remember in grade school going out for recess and setting in the swings an all of a sudden waking up from a trance like state and recess would be over and the schoolyard empty, or sitting in class and getting this numb feeling where I couldn't move. I could see and hear things but it was like I was behind a glass wall, sounds were muffled. I always...
  3. Holy Toledo, that list makes my head spin just trying to read it.
  4. I think it would be great if we could get an online chat room going on here. Any thoughts or ideas, maybe?
  5. Hi Newtoitall, This is what I have found in my research of Nightshades. I hope it helps answer some of your questions. As for me the nightshades causes bone, joint and muscle swelling and pain. I eat a baked potato about once every 6 weeks and be ok but any more than that and I hurt bad. It usually takes mine overnight to show up, lasts anywhere from a...
  6. I wouldn't be surprised.
  7. Marilyn, I have actually done that! It comes up almost even and that leaves me even more frustrated than before. He was so sweet today it was almost sickening. Anything I wanted or needed he was right there pronto, telling me how so sorry he was that he was not as understanding as he should be, so on and so on. I've heard all this before and part of...
  8. Make sure you get the endoscopy, the colonosopy can't diagnose Celiac.
  9. Thanks Kareng, Yes, he's a diabetic, he takes his meds but still eats whatever he wants too even if it makes him sick, he's also had one heart attack and he still smokes up to a couple of packs aday. And on top of that he has a problem with gluten. He just won't do anything about it. We both know gluten affects him because within just a couple of minutes...
  10. Thanks everyone I really appreciate all of your replies. That's why I love this forum sooooo much. Well, I finally had enough of his bull and let loose on him and gave him what for. I told him he either got the gluten out of the truck and washed his hands when he did eat out or I was leaving for good. And I told him if that meant I was being selfish then...
  11. Thanks everyone, Talk about having a pity party for myself. Yes, he's probably in denial a bit but after 2 years of this you would think he would have some inkling that I can't have even a little bit. He owns the truck I don't have any part of it. But, I left a company 3 months ago where I was buying my own truck and he sweet talked me into giving it up...
  12. Well, for those of you have been kind of following my posts, you can all tell me I told you so. I got myself into this mess and now i've got to figure out what to do. I know what I need to do, that's just it. It's hard. My significant other and I have been teaming on a truck off and on for several years now. We'll bust up and get back together. He knows...
  13. Hey Sheri and Keith, Welcome to the forums! I know exactly where you're coming from girl and I empathize with you. I have Fibro and CFS, It can be a challange but you need to hang in there. Like Mushroom says it sounds alot like gluten withdrawal and more food intolerences. Not only does the gluten affect me but so does the soy and dairy. Both of those...
  14. My most favorite, hot, soft, buttery crousants. Uuuuuuhhhhhhhmmmmm.
  15. Wow, that is way too much gluten free packaged food for your system to handle at the begining. You need to be on a more whole foods diet right now. Gradually ease into it. You are shocking your system big time. Also, by the way, Beano has wheat. And you may want to get rid of the dairy also.
  16. Welcome Mmorris, Try not to get too discouraged. We'll help you figure this out. It could be any number of things. Are you making sure you're not getting cross contaminated? Then if you are sure that isn't the case. Are you eating a lot of potatoes? Potatoes, tomatoes, all bell peppers and eggplant. These are called the nightshade vegetables. They have...
  17. I tried that myself. The only thing my pulse reacts to is soy and I have a lot of other food intolerences. To me it's not very reliable at all.
  18. Irish Heart, I know exactly how you feel. There were days I hurt so badly I thought a few times of just ending it. But I had my dad as an example of someone who put one foot in front of the other and kept going. My favorite saying that he had that we also put on his gravestone when he passed was "I'm in pretty good shape for the shape i'm in". When he was...

    ARCHIVED Sad

Hi Brigit, you are going through a grieving process yes, but for a lot of us it can be from gluten withdrawal also. Just hang in there and one morning you'll wake up and it'll be gone. Wish you well.
  20. Hi Nate, If you plan on getting tests i'm sorry to say you have to be on gluten full time for the tests to have a chance being positive. 2 weeks you are still in the beginning stages of healing. Sounds like you are still suffering withdrawals. Maybe you should go to the dr's to rule out other problems. Have you eliminated dairy and soy? Are you eating...
  21. Well the soy might be bothering you but what jumped out at me was capn crunch. it has malt in it therefore gluten.
  22. IBS is a diagnoses when the dr's can't figure out where the problems are coming from. Lots of people have been dx'd with IBS when come to find out its a gluten intolerance. Not only that but the blood tests are notorius for giving false negatives. Also, the biopsies can be negative too if the dr dosen't biopsy the right places.
  23. When she was gluten free her insides healed a bit. She was no longer making antibodies. As long as she keeps eating gluten those antibodies will build up and then she will definetly start feeling the after effects. If she has a problem with gluten she can develop problems long term, a lot of auto immune diseases to infertility, depression so on and so on...
  24. mayelenebaby, First off, sounds like withdrawalls along with cross contamination. Just my opinion. when you went gluten free did you replace your pans, wooden spoons, collander, toaster? Do you live with other gluten eaters? Cross contamination from them. Significant other has to brush their teeth before kissing. Have you checked all your meds and supplements...
